I think that when prices fall on the market, you need to use 50% of your balance to buy bitcoin.The remaining 50% of the balance needs to be evenly distributed to purchase the remaining coins from the top 50. Diversification of the investment portfolio is a very important step since this will help keep the balance always positive.

I mostly prefer two kinds of coins to buy during the dips. The first one are those promising coins with huge following like ETH and BTC. Although they cost much, they are the ones which get more attention when the charts have spikes in them. The second are those cheap coins with good potential which are more prone to be successful in the long run. XRP, ADA, EOS are some examples. They easily get doubled when people start investing in them . A few change in their % may lead to good profits.

Actually theres a very good time to buy all the top ten altcoins. They cheap like never before. And im sure you will not get them not so cheap anytime soon again. So its a good time to invest in ethereum, ioata, dash monero and the rest of the top ten. They are also some other coins which i prefer who are not in the top ten. While the dip i buyed some more of the privacy coins like deeponion, xspec spectrecoin, verge xvg and pivx. Now i can run a pivx masternode

- with a general low generation,
- a good team,
- good technologies,
- an important period of existence of the coin,
- the presence of a masternodes with an average profitability.
And if someone makes a good research about which coin will be suitable regarding all these points, the ending results would be Bitcoin. They are seriously making the whole world great for living. Although they are in starting state but still, things are getting good gradually and slowly. As far as these points are concerned, Bitcoins do fulfill all these points successfully and hence they must be adopted.- with a general low generation,

I agree with the others considering the dip now the best pick for me is bitcoin and ethereum this two will recover soon.

check coins that have stable and big volumes and which are very low in price according to btc. So you can buy them just know when the btc price trying to touch down to 7000

If you would like to trade for a short always look an altcoins and token that are trending meaning the top gainers and top losers. You can see it in coinmarketcap.com trending menu then choose the coin/tokens that attracts you. Like for example the Dropil token previous price was 0.0045$ and now pumps upto 0.0065$, so the choice is still your of what coins buy but try to look their performance and its history to guide you which one to buy.
There is no doubt that undervalued coins like this can benefit us in the long run but they also carry the huge risk of not getting pumped due to low trading volume. Such coins may become the victim of the pump-dump strategies and believe me such coins do not last for the long time on the list. But yeah some of them with nice project ideas can be jackpot during the long terms of investment.
For now the dips are pretty good if you are considering to invest your money and any coin that had ATH above $1 and now is trading at lower than $1 value is perfect choice of coin. This also include coins like Ripple, ADA, Siacoin etc. They had been far greater than this but are down to <$1 so you can rely on them for your profits.

When there is a dip i personally buy bitcoin and ethereum about 80% bitcoin and 20% ethereum. I will never take my chances on other coins because these two coins are usually the one who bounce back right away.
Your strategy is not bad at all after all you are buying the two most trustable coins we have in the market bitcoin and ethereum, however I cannot stop to think that you are leaving a lot of money in the market for someone else to grab, after all those two coins cannot grow as rapidly as many of those coins with a lower market cap so it could be a good idea to invest in some icos and other altcoins so you can obtain better profits in the future.I agree with this opinion, just choose the right coin to invest/ trade depend your experience and never follow others opinion, decides by your self and face the risk. This time is the right moment to buy coin and I suggest you find the coin from coinmarketcap list top ten ( after bitcoin and ethereum ) and use your technical method to read coin price moving in long term period. Calculate with your stop loss use your asset wisely.

Coin prices fell to its lowest level ever, This is the best time to buy and hold. No one will know how low altcoin prices will be. But this is the best price to buy them. I think in May this year they will rise again.

you guys keep asking same questions over and over. My best coin can't be your best coin. if you are a newbie i suggest you pick low sat coins from coinmarketcap from first 50 coins. before selecting head over to their website and see what they are up to. check their twitter and other social media to know the stand of the community. check the devs out. its hours of research and stressful but it your money not mine. Lastly pray for lambo, only your luck can do that , why? cos this is crypto and anything can happen.

I suggest you the Ethereum.Now the price of ethereum was only 400$,this is very cheap price.With 1000$ ,you can buy 2.5 ethereum and which is not possible in the bitcoin.Still now the price of bitcoin above 5000$,it's ten times of ethereum value.
It's the hardest moment to decide whether you have to start buying or waiting the storm stopped as it's looks like a long way to get the real dip, the price keep declining. Right now seems to be a big dip. Not sure how much further it will go down, but right now most coins have attractive prices. What are the best / hottest ones to coin in your opinion and why?
Why not choose all of them considering the dip that we are into right now! I mean dip is the first expression of any coin that says, "hey come and get me and you may profit in the future". Its just that we should invest only in the coins which has proven their value of trust since they weer founded by the ICO projects. Otherwise you might just interpret that you have to grab any low valued coin and wait for its pumps, that may not happen ever if thats the shit one. Lolz. I believe starting with the Top 10 coins would be always great idea and in the long run these beauties to pump many times after they are dipped.

you know sometimes doing nothing is the best solution!
for example if you feel lost in the market and don't know what to buy and what has potential,... then simply stay away and hold your fiat or bitcoin that you wanted to invest. that way you won't make any mistakes and more importantly you will reduce the risks you are taking.
someone once said that you should have a pretty good reason for every trading decision that you make and if you don't have that good reason then you shouldn't trade until you do.

Buying bitcoin is still my choice during dip, i gain double of my investment on bitcoin unlike any other altcoins do..bitcoin is always been most profitable cryptocurrency for me.. Thats why i never runs out btc on my wallet for i always believe on its big potential.
