I think, the best social media is a popular social media - twitter and facebook.
Well i agree with you, twitter and facebook is one of the best social meaia for promoting an ICO and i think even bitcointalk.org can totally or really promote a good ico here, and there are instragram to also promote an ico because we all also know that instagram is very famous and it is very great to use for promoting an ICO.

Twitter, Raddit and Facebook are the best social media site for promoting in ICOs, therefor the best social media to use for bitcoin advertisement varies from country to country.
I consider the best platform for the promotion of ico it's Telegram messenger. For example, from official channel you can quickly get updated information or in community chat you can ask a question directly to the developers or project managers and get quick response.
These are best social media for promoting as ICO are Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, Telegram, Reddit but my vote is for bitcointalk, where you can in true provide links to the other social media platform.
I'm very rarely use any social media except this forum. To be honest I get all my news here. There are plenty of information about almost any project here.

In addition to the above 5 social media I think facebook is also good for promotion. Facebook users too many, of course it will be suitable for the promotion.

The better experience i had was with telegram. In telegram, the team and the investors can have better communication and the information is easier to spread.
The best social media for promoting an ICO are all that you can post it, while more sites you count to promote your ICO the more people will going to see it and that its the idea. Youtube are a good way to promote your ICO by the way.
Twitter is the best platform on your list,twitter have lots of user compare to the others you have mentioned.
I believe i have 3 candidates. Twitter, reddit, steemit. Plus, you need a right Bounty Manager to manage all these. I almost forget Medium. 
For me, it's Facebook that has about 2.07 billion monthly users. Young and old knows how to use this social media. Next would be Twitter that has 330 million monthly users that has become an important communication channel for governments as well as celebrities. These two are the most popular social media that I think is best for promoting ICO.
For me facebook, twitter and youtube are the best social media to spread information about campaigns. A lot uses them compared to other social medias. I, myself, use those three everyday and a lot of my friends too. I don't use Reddit and Slacks. I use Telegram sometimes but just when I have some inquiry about a certain campaign.
Twitter first by far I think. After I would choose reddit or telegram and then this forum.

the best one is this forum for sure. the target market is perfect on this site and people who knows this site are for sure people who had an interest on cryptocurrency. the second best it would be twitter and telegram. telegram would be best place for knows more about the ico itself and cause we could get an answer directly from the member of the ico itself. 1. But more people still don't hear about the word ICO on facebook.So the forum is the best media to promote their project because this forum is the biggest forum in the world for crypto currency if a investor wants to invest on ICO then he will come here first to enquire about that project.
And twitter also the best media to promote their project but if a project needs to be successful then they need to all the above medias to attract more investors.

It all varies to which country. Not all countries have the same number 1 used social media by it's people. For example, people in China uses QQ in social media, in Korea the most popular is Kakaotalk, and in Philippines, Facebook and Twitter are really popular. Therefore, the best social media to use for bitcoin advertisement varies from country to country.
