That is correct. Trading without knowledge can be considered as gambling and therefore, if you want to earn money from trading, you need to learn before. It is not as easy as you think either. People think that trading is just buying different coins and then selling them later on. There's a science behind all that. There's a science on which coins to buy and which coins to let go of even if you are at loss. An hour everyday is better than none at all. But 2 hours a day is much better than an hour a day. If you really want to learn something, time will not be your concern. You will continue to learn it all day because of curiosity. There will be no fixed amount of time per day allotted to it. Learning isn't something that you do and you expect to learn x amount of knowledge in y amount of time. They are both dynamic, or changing in values. There are days when you can learn a lot in an hour and there are days when you don't learn at all. Either way, disciplining yourself and giving it time is needed. Patience is still key here.
