When first starting out as a trader it would be advisable to invest a small amount that you are ready to lose. When you are a noobie at trading you are sure to lose money in the process of learning so that time its better to trade with small amounts then after you have mastered the skill you can input any amount as you wish and have.

there is no minimum number of trading. we can continue to try to start with very little capital.
one suggestion I have is to make trades altcoin. altcoin trading does not require a lot of capital.  Smiley

Right, no minimum amount is required in altcoin trading, we can use any amount which we like and afford it easily used in altcoin trading. But keep in mind, trading is risky like gambling, and also it is time taking work and don't think that you know the rules of trading than you can do it, it need experience, than after it, you can earn from trading.

Even experienced traders have loses, in trading it's same like in gambling, you can't win all the time. It's not easy to learn how to trade, and therefore its recommended for newbies or other members without any knowledge about trading to start with some minimal capital. I prefer altcoins, they are much cheaper and with them I have more fun then with btc trading.

The last months i Always use 0.1 BTC for trading. I buy from time to time altcoins with this, in the hope i could buy them low and sell a bit higher. Every time i have made 0.01 BTC extra, i keep this. I only use 0.1 BTC. It happens that in 1 day i have 0.01 BTC extra, but from time to time it also can take a week before i reacht the 0.01 BTC.
Best is to start with small amounts i think so that you can't loose too much. Because altcoins can go quick upwards but even faster down (even to 1 sat).

You can try with 10K satoshi on YoBit. First you need test your skill on trading.Or here a tutorial you can see this tutorial : http://coinduet.com/index.php?p=/discussion/48/how-to-earn-1-bitcoin-per-week-yobit-trading-guide#latest
I'm not ready to believe on any guide that will be promising 1 bitcoin profits from trading for a week. Because in my experience if we are trading for a target then definitely we will be missing many important aspects of careful trading. A tension free trading obviously getting me more profits instead of this.
That's just a damn marketing strategies to attract people to read the article whilst the reality is really hard to be gained within a week
1 bitcoin is not that small to be easily obtained. but if you're having big capitals and about more twice amounts of bitcoin, maybe it's possible
but if you're go with only 10K satoshi. keep dreamin i guess

What is the minimum amount to start as a trader?

For me, as long as you know the minimum amount in any exchange platform  you can start trading, Now if you want fast earnings of bitcoin you need to invest 0.05BTC for you to grow your coins quickly, or if you don't have any bitcoin and don't have any amount 0f money to, can do bitcoin faucets but it will need time and effort, meaning you need to patience.
I think it varies from person to person because I know some people ( well, they were friends earlier but now they have earned attitude ) who invest like 2-5 bitcoins when the price is low and sell at higher prices.
But usually you should start with a capital based on the risk you can take, like if you are a risk taker in this trading business then even 0.05 is fine but safe trading means at least 0.25 should be there to cover any loss in the beginning.

I agree you should be more cautious when you are just starting out.  You can try some bits of this and that and then when you are familiar enough, you can then increase the amount you are trading.  Well actually, I think that if your trading is done properly, your initial capital would have increased.

Its still does depend on which coins do you trade some people only start up on small amounts and could able to manage to gain how many times grown in his capital which means it does really matter on the skills of a certain individual.0.5 btc on start up trading is also a good start but we should really be sure off on this career because its not really an easy thing. Big or small amounts will surely vanished easily if you dont trade to carefully.

I think trading bitcoin against fiat requires bigger fund, if you have little fund, you can start trading with bitcoin and altcoin. Because with altcoin you can trade with just an amount of 0.001 BTC.  This is big enough for LTC markets.

I think the minimum amount to start trading is 0.5btc because I started in just amount also before . I bough a coin 5 kinds of coin so everycoin I invest 0.1 and my profit before was good and enough. And because of 0.5  I earn Bitcoin everyweek and cashout into real money. But if you don't have 0.5 try 0.1 is the best for you but the profit is not enough because your Bitcoin is little. Many people invest in trading in a big amount like 10-100 btc I think . the profit of that people is so big .

It is really important that you make a plan before you start in trading. Having a desired amount for a starting capital is needed so you will be able to know if you can make a profit in the end. Just start in a little amount, as you master the process and techniques you can now put additional capital for a higher profit.

As long as you are willing to lose your money because in trading it is hard to trust if you can get your money back.

Yes, this is the most big thing you should know in trading, be ready to lose your money any time you trade because you do not know if we were scammed by people.

Even you can be scammed by the people whom you trust.
And you do not know if you trade in the right time. Just be wise dude.

perhaps as long as you have money, you can start to trading. but I think you also need to make restrictions on it, such as a minimum of 0:01 or 0.1 BTC. because the profit you get from trading, depending on the amount the first time when you start trading. Well, if you do not plan it, maybe just a little profit can you produce
True, as long as you can afford to trade you can start immediate. Here in crytpo the amount needed to trade is very minimum but for you to succeed in trading, you have to ensure you do careful planning and only put a small amount of money when you are just starting up.

it is not only about being able to afford to trade, you should consider how much you can afford to lose instead. you may even be able to invest a million dollar in trading today but you shouldn't because there is a high chance of losing when you are a beginner and the stress of not knowing what is going on and how to make profit with large amounts will kill you.

100% Deposit Match UP TO €5000!
I think that the minimum needed to start as a trader would be 100 times the fee that would be when buying or selling. Because if you invest $1, and it goes up 30% but you gotta pay 9.95 to sell it you would be at a net loss. As opposed to if you invested 1k and it went up only 10% you would still be a net gain.  However, when buying crypto curriences, the fee is much less. take yobit for example they only take .2% of the total of your purchase which than it would be reasonable to invest only $1. Although their btc is artificially inflated because you gotta pay .2% to buy/sell it and than 1-6% to withdrawal your cash.

It depends on you. You can start as low as $1 as long you as you are willing to take the risk because trading its not easy as you think you have to keep in your mind that in every trade you can lose your money so be ready on it.
Yes due to those risk levels of trading we are here suggesting about what would be the possible minimum amount, a new trader should start with. Unfortunately many traders are wasting their money in trading by risking unnecessarily.

In the opinion instead of taking risk, we can avoid those trading completely and we must focus on learning trading skills.

Interesting thread for someone like me, I`m reading and learning about trading for a month.

This represents most of the comments, its always depends on how deep our pocket is. I plan to start with 10 - 30 mbtc, I can spend that much for first time. Profit is proportional to amount invested, my first goal is to lean a bit, and I dont hope for profit, I hope I will not lose much in that process.
