Spread your investment on top 100 coins in coinmarketcap because these coins are promising and have a high chance of gain for the next few months but always take a research first before putting your money in so you will had a knowledge about that particular coin.
Before investing in crypto market, having proper knowledge about it is always beneficiary. I invested in crypto currencies when I had very little knowledge and that was my biggest mistake. I would recommend gaining full knowledge first and then pouring in money. Research must be done about market as well as particular coins that you wish to invest in so as to avoid loss later on due to incomplete knowledge.

Diversifying your investment into 10 coins or tokens is a good idea. Anymore than that when you are just getting started will create problems. The amount of hard drive space for 10 coins alone will be over a terabyte.
Bitcoin and Ethereum are both at a year low and I think it is a good time to buy both.
With ICOs, you must choose wisely. Due diligence is key. Do your research and invest in projects that solve the many problems in the infant space.

Number of coins that you diversify your investment in depends on the amount that you are planning to pour in. I too have diversified my investment in BTC and 6 other altcoins that I have chosen after thorough research and study of charts.

for us now the price is cheap altcoin and you can invest in bitcoin or eth, and also you can invest in ico project, because for us the price is also cheap, so we think you will also generate many benefits in the future.
Investing in altcoins and bitcoin is also recommended by me, but I won’t suggest investing in ICO’s due to upcoming policies by many nations on the launching of ICO’s. Moreover the tokens launching in market currently have less price than they had during ICO’s. Also many ICO’s are scam and ponzi schemes nowadays and there is no security for your invested money. Very few ICO’s succeed. If you are good at doing research and have some instincts, you can go for ICO’s, but I would discourage it.

I would recommend you to wait a little to make sure that market has really changed the direction from downward to upward. Less risky coins are BTC and ETH and ETH is even more preferable. A bit more risky are NEO and EOS but I am not familiar with them deeply so I cannot recommend them.

Well, it depends, your profit margin will always depend on how you trade or skills you have in relation to trading especially in cryptocurrency market. Its great time to invest in any of the altcoins that are listed in the top 20 list in coinmarketcap as most of the altcoins are at all time low currently and the market is experiencing bearish trend.
