The market is full of pessimistic comments lately and most of the conversations include BTC price going under 3k. I really wonder at which point BTC investors give up and quit completely. What is your opinion about this? My thought about quitting never happened but if the price goes under four digits then I might be reconsidering.
I don't think that the investors will one day quite the market.  I believe that they are going to keep investing as far as the market remains because of the hope we have in future.  I just believe that cryptocurrencies market is too good to be abandoned no matter how low the market go.

For me its a thousand dollars. If bitcoin ever reaches a thousand dollars I will sell all my coins and just leave the bitcoin market for good, that is too much of a loss to keep going and I would rather make my income from something else. It would kill all my income and I wouldn't be capable of paying my bills if that happened. Even right now I am looking for a more "real" way to make money instead of keep working in bitcoin industry forever, if I am doing it at 3 thousand dollar or so, I will definitely move to that when it reaches a thousand dollars. However, I doubt it will ever reach that type of price again, even 3.5 thousand dollars was met with a shock and people bought up bitcoin (whales specially) because everyone believed this was a temporary deal.

Usually the surrender is the investor who has panicked because the price dropped very far, so they stopped to invest. If the price drops below four digits I am also sure that many investors will panic and sell their bitcoin. This is normal because prices fall so far that many investors stop investing because they consider bitcoin to die. But actually my advice is if the price leaves four digits to stay calm and don't panic. We must remain confident that prices will recover slowly. If the price of bitcoin goes down I don't have a stop point, I'm better off buying it again and hold it until the price rises.

I will quit Bitcoin if my lose will be unbearable anymore like maybe if it will reach below 1000K but for now i will extend my patience and keep the faith that Bitcoin will bounce back soon as it was in this difficult situation before but still survived.

oh i see that you invested on bitcoin . well for me  im not an investor , thats why i will never quit on this battle no matter how low can bitcoin go   .  im always be happy and thankful because bitcoin already gave me a good life that i never get on any other things .

anyway , we should not talk about negative things such as quitting or dying of the cryptos because that can only cause us a depresion and hard feelings  in the long run  .

instead why cant we just foccus on buying and hodling more coins ?    always remember that cryptos are useful and now already recognized by the masses . sooner or later it will still become indemand and that is the time that the price will rise  .  so cheer up guys  ,

For me is no quit point and i will still do what i do now, trading, running masternodes and doing arbitrage. Anyway i think bitcoin will grow in time and the price will be a good one for all holders and buyers and for all investors who wait.

Exactly, others may call us dump investors, but it is what it is. We need not just to ride the waves, but to prepared for the worst as well.

Actually with the current state of the bitcoin market, we're already reach a point wherein most of the investors have gone for good. But for me I'll better stay through thick and thin.

I'm not sure I'll ever quit as a user unless it totally dies out and people stop using it. But I might give up on the long term uptrend and any expectations of exponential growth if price starts holding below the 2013 highs. That would suggest strongly declining demand.

As far as overall investor capitulation, it's anyone's best guess. I think it's somewhere sub-$3K, maybe even sub-$2K. But who knows? This market is full of surprises.

For me, I don't normally have a quit point on bitcoin. I just cash out my money whenever I see the market is unstable or feel like something is wrong with it. People invests in bitcoin for profits and without it there's no reason to hold it.

The only price that can make me quit is if bitcoin goes to zero, at that point I will know that a market of cryptocurrencies is dead and it is not going to recover, the money that I have invested in bitcoin is money that I could spare so while I will be sad if I lose it I will be more sad if bitcoin reached that price because that would mean not only the disappearance of bitcoin but of cryptocurrencies as we know them.

The lower the price the better it is for me. It's no longer 2013/2014/2015 where the price of a whole coin was just a couple hundred bucks. $3400 would allow me to buy 10'ish Bitcoins back then, right now it's just 1. This is an opportunity of a life time for people, use it instead of complaining about everything. Months ago people would wipe McAfee's booty to buy at current levels, and now they act like a prima donna and play hard to get. Roll Eyes

Someone should set up some sort of a Bitcointalk book with comments from previous bear and bull markets. It's great fun reading through how people in 2011 called each other suckers for having bought the top at $6 or something, lol. Current times aren't much different. Same panic and trolling, just a different price.  Smiley

I'm riding it to the end no matter what. I'm too far gone.

And shouldn't one's quit point have been at the $20,000 level?

If people are waiting for the ultimate low to quit, well...

I don't know why people are this pessimistic?  Even if the price goes down to 1k, there is every tendency that I might still rise and become strong but not as strong as before (7 or 6k). I don't think bitcoin can Ever pull that stunt again. But we have to be hopeful. I suggest we look for ways to drive investment into the blockchain systems.  By encouraging investments , iCO's and using crypto based platforms, it might result into a surge in the price and value.  Personally , I don't have a quit point. Worst as it might be,  I sell all my bitcoins and keep some other crypto coins as a form of investment. I know it's not easy,  but we have to be hopeful and plan on ways it value can be stabilized and increased. The top platform to promote this is, here. I even saw some comments about suicidal thoughts if it goes below a certain level by some people that are still holding onto their coins.  No no no. Let it not get down that deep. Look for other ways to make money and this month,  there are a lot of online betting platforms offering huge bonuses and my top choice is  Vegas because they provide the opportunity to play various type of casino games from table games,  slots,  pokers,  video games, blackjack etc. I have a lot of favourites games on vegasonline. They offer VIP service and often give promotional bonuses too. On for every deposit,  they give bonuses of at least, a 25%. They provide high and quality user experience when betting. Know one thing today,  there is never a quit point if you want to attain financial freedom.

I don't know at what range the investors will quit for bitcoin because the reasons could be so different between from various investors but i think more cheap bitcoin then it's good to buy and i personally don't have any plan to quit although the price will lower than now because i'm pretty sure someday there will be upcoming rise up for bitcoin price and when the price still cheap then it's good time to buy

There is no quit point. Better a promise of a rise someday, than selling for pennies and dumping the price even more. More than the effort of pumping Bitcoin by some enthusiasts, it is the clear and stronger effort to dump it more and more. Quite strange some people are so commited in dumping BTC's price. The said pessimistic wave is being created to incentive people to sell everything, I believe.

In the point of view as an investor if the price goes really low and I have to sell it on a big loss. i will find an alternate way to invest the ones i took out so later on when the market goes up i can recover the loss and then my profit which was on my initial idea.

No time for quiting if the bitcoin still have a price. We must understand that being in this system the price changes everytime there is a movement of tradings and investments. It will increase in no time.
