Always remember this, you are there to win a game where its statistically impossible to win at, it's not impossible to not understand this about gambling, a wise man once said, "if you want to make money with gambling, own a casino".
You can make money in gambling by just betting and you don't need to be a casino owner just to make money, what you need is to be more responsible and you can be good. There's a lot of gamblers who make a lot of fortune because they are betting professionally and they know how to handle the risk. Now the question is, are you ready for the risk and do you have what it takes to be a good bettor or gambler?

If you walk into a casino with $200 and you start playing with that $200 and you win $200, get the hell out, you simply just doubled your money, take your goddamn leave, what do you think you wanna do? Win a million dollars? You will go home empty handed.

No matter if I go home empty at least I enjoy my $200 because I tell you what, not all who come into gambling just thinking about winning millions, I'm doing this for fun. But if your mindset is to just gamble and win, then better stop your gambling habits as it only makes you regret.

What I've learned from gambling is that I know how to manage myself by not expecting too much. Stick to our limitation, if it is only $200 in our budget, then make use of it until we get burned and empty. If we have the chance, then it would be great but if not, then accept it because that is really what it meant to be.
If indeed $200 is an amount of money that has been determined and can be accepted then it is not problem if you lose that amount to enjoy gambling and have fun, but some people consider $200 to be large enough amount so it is not surprising if someone claims that this amount is it not worth losing in gambling.
After all, we are gambling with money and risk, so whatever we lose should be accepted easily, it just that we can always control it within these limits so that it doesn't exceed the amount that can be received.
Kudos to you because you can still accept every defeat and consider this loss as payment for enjoyment and entertainment.

Yes, it is true that from gambling we can learn lessons to control ourselves and also manage our finances better because if these two factors are ignored then gambler will never be able to experience the pleasure of gambling and they will not even be able to have happy heart in every condition.
So far, it is possible that not many gamblers have been able to take the positive side of gambling.

If I can go to the casino with $200 and convert the $200 into $400, I won't do any casino or gambling that day. Many people may say that whenever you double your money your mind will make you play more but I can control my mind so if I ever get a chance to double my money in a casino or if I ever hit the jackpot I Never gamble again. I never gamble on the principle that I go to a casino with $200 and go to the casino and lose $200. After losing, I withdraw more money from my account and gamble again.

My gambling style is varied and specific. I will never gamble beyond a certain amount of money. Since that's all I've learned from gambling, I'm looking forward to hitting the jackpot.

the art of gambling is knowing when to stop.
Indeed, and it's not only about when you win but it's also about when you are constantly losing. A person will most probably lose all their money if they are losing and they keep going regardless of that, that is when the devil whispers as well, saying that you will recover the money in the next bet and that next bet never comes until the money is all gone and then the only thing that remains is regret which has no point since what has been lost can never come back.

However, some people gamble just for fun and don't care much about winning or losing, but that doesn't mean they will have to lose what they have no matter what. Such people, if manage to win something, can save their initial capital by just gambling on what they have won and that should be enough for having some fun.

It is a good idea, however, I believe everyone here have encounter something like that before.

Ones that First luck has come, it will be hard for it to come again, in gambling people win millions of money but I don't still believe they win them gradually, it all happened ones.
So that first time win one have to stop and continue another day until he win the millions he or she is expecting.

I haven't tried the poker games before because I only bet on sports and the sport games are one of my favorites.

I agree with that, if any gambler want to have fun he or she can go to else were to have more fun than waste money, however, many people really believes that the gambling hall is one of the best places to have fun, but it is not.

That is already a huge win, if you can double your money, then that is big already and yeah, you should be quitting. You can't bring home the casinos, as what we have a local saying about it. And as long as you are winning, then it's good to quit early.

The next thing that rings in your ear is you can still win another or more, that's the devil whipsering, the art of gambling is knowing when to stop.
As for this, it's more on the emotions though, like at the back of your mind you wanted to came back and win for more because you think that you are lucky. But it could be the worst decision in your life and for sure you are going to regret it.

Yeah, just enjoy and have fun and just bring or deposit money that you can afford to lose. And so when you wake up in the morning, you are not affected by that defeat and life goes on.

[the art of gambling is knowing when to stop.]

I love this quote Smiley and probably is also pretty true, because more you play, more you loss, or more you can risk to loss.
That's why some casinos try to lure people to play more and more and more...

But I think that in some case you can also loss. Gambling it's not "earn", but it should be just pure fun, like any other hobby that requires some effort/money to spent...

No one actually visits the casino to have fun
How about people that will have $200 to have fun and using just like $0.1 on every game so that the time they are gambling can be prolonged?  Did you know that some people will use the whole $200 at ones and see if they win or not.

The best approach that I have thought of is to use not more than your gambling budget but with the mindset that all can be lost as long as you can afford to lose it. But after winning, it is good to just quite for the day and not have the fun again.
You have a point, but I am not talking about how much rounds they can go with the $200, I am simply saying that doubling your money through gambling is good win, enough for anyone to take their break for another day, how ever they plan to play the game is left for them as everybody have their own strategies, but doubling $200 into $400 is good enough, like enough to make you walk away.

I have someone who used to work in a casino, he told me about how many times he have whisper to the ear of some gamblers, telling them to take their leave, but they won't listen and they will end up losing everything, they got mad and left with nothing, this person told me that winning in gambling is an alarm to walk away immediately if you want that money to stay in your pocket.

The ultimate strategy is to always use what you can afford to lose and also take your leave once you once you win and come back another day to try your luck, what you win isn't really yours yet if you are still playing to continue gambling, until you leave the casino and move on.

Gambling is a complete waste of time and money if it's not done completely for fun, only a fool would concentrate of gambling only to make them get rich, the risk isn't worth it if your goal is to keep gambling for money making purpose.

I have learn as a gambler don't do anything with emotion. Emotion is the main enemy of your life in gambling sector and in your real life. Emotion force you to take wrong step and emotion force you to decide very fast which always creat problem in your life. Emotion control help you to being success in your life because if you can control your emotion then you can think what you want to do what you can do in cold mind. Gambling help me to know how emotion controls helps in life.
However, you have to learn to control your emotions, especially since we often gamble, where we will experience an increase in emotions along with what we get from gambling. Making decisions due to increased emotions will also affect the results we get so if, for example, we lose, our emotions will definitely change. There is a possibility that we will use even more money. So we have to learn to control our emotions well so that we will not be affected by any situation we face and can still enjoy gambling well.

Yes, just take your winnings and get the hell out of there. The moment you think you can double the winnings, that is the exact onset of your gambling addiction. Listen to so many gamblers who struggle with its addiction and you will hear this familiar line like, "my addiction started when I won $100 , $300, $400 and continued gambling." Their new goal will be to make even more money. From there onwards, they'll continue to invest significant amounts, even exceeding his initial winnings. It is a spiral that doesn't end and soon after they are caught in the gambling web.

You're right, that's how gambling addiction begins. The one where you have already won double but you still want to increase it because of your greed. Learn to be content and control yourself when it comes to this because regret is the last thing.

I know someone who has won double like this but because of his greed he used up all his money including his car he bet just to get back the money he lost, this mindset is wrong for me. If you want to increase the money you won, I think you should bet 10% of what you won when you lose, maybe stop there and be satisfied, especially if that win will change your life.

Haha, this is with everyone. We tend to think that we can still go on for some more games and that's why even if we've got enough money and profit.

We think that it's fine to at least do some or a few bets before we leave the casino. Yeah, someone is whispering us and telling that it's fine to carry on because you're not on a losing streak.

But if you're too soft and not careful, that mindset you've got is going to be the main reason why you're going to lose more than your profit together with your bankroll.

I think it would be better if it's like this "As long as you win even how small it is, go home". Not every time you gamble will make you lucky enough to double your money. A small winning is still considered as winning. Be satisfied with every win you have, because no one knows when you're running out of luck.

The next thing that rings in your ear is you can still win another or more, that's the devil whipsering, the art of gambling is knowing when to stop.
No. It is only your greed; Aiming to get more winnings and assuming to make more money as you're currently unsatisfied with the current winnings. To avoid this, you need to have control over yourself and discipline.

That's a good experience my friend, you have learned a lot of things from the gambling you do so you can share that with beginners through this thread in the forum, it's important to understand that when playing gambling you have to be wiser as you said in the thread that all games are true. above the control of the dealer so don't feel confident that you can beat the dealer and it is also important to learn to trick your mind or divert your mind to a more positive mindset, consider it as entertainment, something that is fun, it is very good for you to do it.

I also learned a lot from all my gambling experiences, the most important thing is how to limit your gambling budget consistently because if you can do what you did above it will automatically be done. Limiting whatever time and budget will make it easier for us to control it well will help we can avoid addiction.  Wink

You are right, in most cases it has been seen that when one wins a bet but for the greediness takes another take and ends up losing his main fund along with the profit. And I think most of us gamblers have faced this situation more or less. And I think in most cases, this situation has to be faced more when playing slot games of casino games. I myself have faced such situations many times.  But now, so that it does not become an addiction, I have not set a limit in advance that if I win a certain amount in today's bet, I will no longer bet. It is the same for losing.

True what you said, most of them when they get a win they will shake with their intentions which initially will withdraw all winnings and when winning there will be a sense of dissatisfaction, curiosity, greed, which encourages them to continue the game and like you said they will feel their luck has not run out, so they decide to bet again to continue the game, because with so many strong drivers making them to play again.
That is how most people do when they gamble or do something that they have set a limit to, if they are enjoying what they are doing and are having fun they tend to be loose with their limit and so end up breaking it up entirely. OP is out of touch and think that his advice about people just stopping when they have doubled their initial gambling money is a pretty easy especially with a lot of people not being trained or have a discipline to quit while ahead.

If I go to the casino and can double my money then I will try to keep the initial capital used and only play with the winnings, maybe not playing the same day but the next day because I want to enjoy the fun, because even though losing money is not fun but I'm sure there are many who still go to the casino because the intention is just for fun and you know that when you want to get pleasure in other forms there is also money that will be sacrificed to get that pleasure, indeed there will be those who say it's stupid to get pleasure from gambling because people always associate gambling with throwing money or other stupid things, but not with people who really just want to get pleasure from gambling.

Come one, degenerate gambler.

We come to conquer and take casino money as much we can, 200$ is not enough to pay the bill ~XD Go get 10,000$ and moving on to other casino. In-case you lose, at least the first casino are on net-negative.

Just add some joke on these.
Haha. Cheesy
I don't think I have the guts to go that far. Just $500 of profits will put my tail between my legs and I will probably run. That's a lot of money in my country and I would definitely withdraw if I get such an amount. It's enough to pay the bills for a month or two mortgage, electricity, water, and internet with some groceries too.
I still believe there are a lot of gamblers who are disciplined enough to take advantage of what they win from casino games. It's not easy to win there so we better get out if we multiplied our capital by two times or maybe even higher than that.
Savour it first then go back to gambling like a brand new player again. I mean, it can help us refresh from all the stress that gambling has done to us. I've done it twice and I can say it's worth it, took my two sons to the mall and let them eat what they want and play what they can. For me, it's a satisfying part of my life.

This mentality is one of the major setback of gambers as they ain't contented with the amount they won and I just think is greediness. You will see a gambler play a casino and wins some amount of money that's almost double of the amount they budgeted to play with instead to stop betting they will feel that they can win more if they continue playing and by so doing all the money vanish.

Though gambling is meant to be played for fun whether we win or lose but in a scenario whereby we make some profit in it then we can stop playing for that day, one can still continue some other time as continuous playing might lead to excessive losses that will be regrettable at the end.
