Since past few months, we have seen a significant change in the trend of the coins being used by the traders for the sake of trading. If we see the number of traders who are busy in trading of altcoins, then we will notice that more than half of the population of the traders are busy in doing that and that is the most important reason behind this much fame and popularity of the altcoins in the international market.

every token or altcoin or cryptocurrency is created for some specific purposes. If the whole project is expected to resolve the problems existing now or reach the purposes listed, then the coins will grow up. And that’s just first step.. A valuable token makes technology, transparency, and real use, there are many promising tokens, but they are not needed in real application and therefore they will remain only promising)

I think the only reason make altcoin and token valuable is ICO project behind. No matter if it's a new altcoin or token just listed on exchange, if it has a good project behind, it can easily reach to top 100 on Coinmarketcap. For now, I'm still holding Credits token, I think it's a good one to invest in and I'm waiting to see Credits token get into top 100 on CMC 
if I think a token is valuable and not is because of the many interests of the token, someone sees it from the ICO they have provided and people are interested to follow and invest in it, so from that yoken will be more widely purchased it will become increasingly expensive, here's my opinion on this
In my personal opinion, development process is a great factor for the value of altcoin. On the other hand, believes on altcoin is also be needed. Good marketing system, well based project can make a altcoin more valuable.

So what do you think makes a valuable stock? It's just a promissory note issued by the business owner. Altcoin, too, was developed in the form of stock and was developed on computer operating systems. These are the cryptographic coin promised by the developers.It is valuable because of demand but other ICO projects is backed with functional products or services.

Except for supply and demand, altcoin or token can be valuable because of its purpose. If an altcoin is having a good platform and can be useful to everyone who owned it, it's creating a great potential to the coin that causes its price increase.

value is created by the team who creates the token and then by people who choose to invest in it. I try to stay away from tokens that have high price from the very beginning but there are so many other things like development, team, sponsors etc that can increase or decrease its price after launch.
Like all the commodity even this tokens and coin also work when the demand increased and supply decreased only. I think apart from this initially project leads sets up the value for the tokens when it launched to the market.

value comes from utility and if some coin has it then it gains value as it is used more. if they don't have it then the price is pure speculation.
in case of bitcoin, the utility is there and increasing so is the demand and with it the price will always rise until mass adoption phase is reached and price is a lot higher than this.
in case of tokens and altcoins there is no usage for them so their value is pure speculation and when it is like that, price is rising based on how traders treat that coin at that specific time in history. if they tend to buy more of it the price of it can rise and when they get tired and wanted to move to another coin the price of it drops.

Demand only IMO. Actually there is no such thing as a valuable or invaluable token, it's all speculation. People are thinking that token "A" has a bigger chance to grow in the future (for various reasons) than token "B" and that's it. They are not backed by anything, the majority is not used anywhere. People are not hunting for a token which is going to be used in real life, they look for something where they can get in early, before all the other people who are chasing $ too. Nobody is buying tokens right now to use them in the future, they buy to sell them later, as new people arrive, the cycle continues.

But I mean what is making a token be valuable except demand? Or why demand can influence a token? I talk here for something uncommon and not for fomo. Usability makes a token worth it. If people think the project has merit and will potentially be widely used it will get high prices on exchanges. Sometimes it is manipulated with hype, so you have to carefully review the project
