When the market gets hit strong enough for bitcoin to experience a significant decline of course many investors panic, so they may sell more to take small profits or even avoid bigger losses that are likely to occur, falling prices will usually make investors or newbie trader nervous so that they are confused about holding or selling it, and for those who have a fear of loss, of course they will prefer to sell, and conditions like this are very much awaited for investors or traders who have confidence in crypto or them have large capital to return buy assets in the market.

To them who have a decent amount of capital they can hold still and buy more even the market is falling, but for those who are unable to prepare themselves to this kind of market situation, fear is always the case, it's the reason why they can't hold but instead they will follow the market trend and sell out to cut losing their investment.

You always have good options if you go deeper, never to invest without proper knowledge to avoid panicking when the trend is not

moving according to how you plan your investment.  Cool Smiley

People see investment from different perspectives, you can't really blame them if they panic sell. Some people are just being careful with their money. We know it'll go up in the future, But what if you need to use the money already? Not everyone can wait for tomorrow. Some may e ven have pressing needs.
Panic sell when you dont have enough experience on how this market behaves but if theres one then you could definitely hold up on what you are holding since you do believe that you could get something from that.

Every person does have its own decision when it comes to their assets that been holding, some might really secure profits into those pumping times or making out some cut losses which turns out to be looks like

a panic sell but it wasnt. Not all people who do able to see was actually on panic because there are some who do cut losses.

There are many reason for panic selling and sometimes people know the potential of bitcoins but still they sell because they do not have the power of holding. Some people invest in bitcoin to get quick profits and if there is a dump, they just sell thier investments in a loss. Others have invested their money which they needed in some other important tasks and they can't wait for bitcoin prices to recover.

panic sell is due to the fact that sometimes when the price starts to drop a lot people start to think that the price will drop to zero and this makes them panic because they think they will lose all their money, for other people they think selling with little loss and buying when the price is lower will allow them to recover from what prices have been for years

This is what happens with common investors/holders of small volume. The same will be taken as an opportunity and whales buy as much possible, because they have the power to manipulate the market to certain limit. Beyond this, common people always consider it for long term benefits, however the declining market always initiate fear of losing which tends them to sell. Another important thing is the invested money, common people invest from their savings whereas whales and pro people invest out of their profit. This could also be a reason for panic selling.

We saw the past from $10 to 60k is going up and up. So it sure it will reach $500k next destination.
But why the hell people panic sell now after it reach this high amount?
Do people really still think it goes to 0?

There soulnd't be any sale presure given the history that we see Bitcoin only going up in value

To make profit? They sell when its high then buy when its low? Look at politicians in the US, Pelosi is now in favour of banning congress members of being unable to trade on the stock market after she has been leeching behind her husband for years in order to gain millions on the stock market. Now she's making a U turn on this, why? Just more of the same, Pelosi has already put her eggs in another basket, staying ahead of the curve.

I think, if traders have been investing in crypto for a long time, they are well aware of bitcoin price movements in the market and don't panic when they see bitcoin prices go down. But for novice traders or investors who just want to invest in crypto, they panic about selling their assets for fear of falling prices. Therefore, investing or trading in bitcoin is very necessary to be able to control emotions and stay calm in the face of price movements in the market.
I think old investors also often experience panic selling when the price of bitcoin drops drastically, sometimes we also need to do this to avoid bigger losses. after that we can set a new strategy and buy when the bitcoin price starts to recover to cover the losses we previously got. Panic selling can indeed cause market conditions to get worse but it can prevent us from getting bigger losses.
When the price of bitcoin drops very deeply, it is very important to manage your emotions of panic so as not to experience bigger losses. Especially after seeing the price of Bitcoin which immediately fell after scoring the All-Time High. So, the best thing you can do when the price of bitcoin drops is to think of a strategy as an effort to improve financial conditions without needing to panic.
Emotions would be the primary problem on times like these on which you would really freak out when you do see that your portfolio is on floating negative even though its
still not a realized loss but you would really be seeing and getting stressed of it which it isnt really surprising for someone to have that kind of reaction and when
things becomes even more worst on where it is followed up with some FUD then it would really make things even more worst.

I believe that's normal reaction of any individual seeing their portfolio going downhill. But the difference is, how each person react on this situation. Is he going to panic and sell or patiently hold even if he is in panic mode? You need to contemplate on things here, what's your goal, your reason why you are here. You need to review those goals so you are not easily affected by what is happening in the current market. Because if you will get attached to every situation, I guess, this market is not for you.

Indeed, it is difficult to find the exact time when the price is experiencing a deep correction. But for me personally, I don't care about the price slump in the market because as a long-term trader, I still believe the price of Bitcoin will be in a bullish trend this year.

In that case, any market situation is suitable for you as you are into long-term investment. Well, that's good but if you like to be more profitable, you can try to do short-term trading and take advantage on the market volatility, with skills in trading, you can surely make more as the market is very volatile especially during the bear and bull market.

Experienced with how the market works will be your advantage if you choose to deal with short-term trading, not easy as how many projects

using this kind of strategy is more about losing your money due to heavy fluctuations. Though, the chance is there if you know how to play

if you have that sets of skills you'll be more on buy low and sell high.

Not an easy task but doable with this kind of market movement, more fluctuation means more opportunities to open..

Be aware that we will face some inevitable losses and everything that happens is normal, usually after a sharp rise and the market starts experiencing a correction or decline due to a sell-off by a weak hand.
and volatile market situations such as this rollercoaster often make many investors or traders feel anxious and panic about investing, and tend to make transactions based on emotion.
and negative news can also affect panic and it all depends on our intelligence in assessing the market situation and the latest news to do the analysis properly and accurately.
It will be difficult for us to sit still and wait when the bear market is happening. But if we manage to refrain from the panic-triggered sell-off, we can pass the period calmly. Indeed sticking with bitcoin during bearish situations requires a high level of vigilance. So, avoid panic and always be alert.
That is why you must be ready before the Bear happens so in those times you can sit and relax drinking your favorite wine while others are crying because of losses.

timing is important as always, buy dip and sell high , if you manage to find that timing then you will not be having this kind of trouble now lol.

But of course it is not that easy to find so best to take it as another chance.

The panic sales of Bitcoin by people is as result FUD and banning of Bitcoin and crypto currency in some county believing that the end has come. I believe only those who has sell their holding that have lost compared with the current market price and dependent on the time they made their Bitcoin purchase.

yes, most of the people who panic sell their bitcoins are people who buy bitcoin because of the btc trend, they don't have confidence, ability to think far ahead. At times like this immediately panicked to sell it because of negative issues from several media. Even though from year to year there must be negative issues about btc but btc is still strong in maintaining its value.
This is a blessing for investors who already have good experience, they will definitely bring or buy as much btc as possible. and this is what the big investors in the world want.

Exactly! Also, most of the people who panic sell especially in times like these is because they don't really understand the fundamentals of bitcoins or how does bitcoin work and specifically doesn't had the right mindset because of the fact that they have just bought bitcoins out of trend or hype in hopes that they could earn well without hardships. Nonetheless, I'm not saying that I for one do understand fully the fundamentals but alteast I kept trying to learn and study it well to avoid such behavior that could lead loss of assets or funds.

That's true, there are still people who just encourage by hypes and don't have concrete knowledge behind this industry, thinking that because someone do earned decent, they can also do the same, they are prone to being afraid when downfall like this takes place. Panic sells mostly being used by whales, with a good understanding they are good in manipulations.

Shaking the market for much better gain, make sure that before you entire the business

you are equipped both mentally and financially..

I think people panic sell because they feel the benefits of seeing their investment succeed do not outweigh their perceived negative consequences of a loss.
For example, behavioral economists have observed that people are naturally loss averse.  They like winning but they hate losing more.
Therefore, people sell because at the end of the day they are committed to avoid losing than to actually winning.
As far as I know, there are two factors why people become panic selling.
First, the person is experienced in the field, which allows him to take advantage of the situation by selling his assets quickly into stable coins. then wait for the moment to buy back. As a result, he owns a large amount of crypto assets.
secondly, the person is new to the crypto world, and panics for fear of his assets going to zero, or decreasing to very low. finally they immediately sell their assets, then they say that this is a very risky thing. however, when the hype hits again, they come back again. well, there are people like that.

I don't believe Bitcoin has ever fallen below the previous 4-year cycle's high, at least to my recollection.  If the price fell below $20K, I'm sure a lot of Bitcoin would be sold that has been on the sidelines for quite some time.  This latest drop from the highs appears to be in part due to a failure of the stock to flow model.  A failure such as dropping below the previous cycle's high would likely have a similar effect on the market.  This is the reason why trading is so difficult for people.  While a drop below $20K would likely lead to massive capitulation, it would also probably be the worst time ever to sell.  My advice would be to take whatever off the table you need to feel comfortable now, just in case Bitcoin does fall to $10K.  At the same time, make sure you have enough that you don't want to jump off a bridge if it goes to $200K.  Wink

There are many factors that make people panic selling their bitcoins, one of which is the continuous decline in bitcoin in the market and they think if it is better to cut the existing losses, their panic increases when the media continues to report negative sentiments towards bitcoin, and this is clear make them more desperate, in my opinion, usually novice traders who feel the panic and those who don't have a true trader mentality of course will also be afraid to take the risk of experiencing losses, but I think, panic won't apply to those who already have trading experience, so maybe they have more patience in holding their bitcoin when the market is indeed deteriorating and of course trust in the fundamentals of the bitcoin have makes them choose to hold on to waiting for the market to improve.
