i have a huge amount of dogecoin until now,
many people said if doge is just a meme in crypto world, but the fact doge is one of many coins that has stable value, that always following the movements of bitcoin, besides doge in the lists of my old coins i also have monero and litecoin including bitcoin
Looks cool, mate, if you still hold doge coins to this day. You’re right, doge always follows the direction bitcoin goes, and now when bitcoin rises,
the price of doge soars. Especially if you buy it when the price is low. That’s  very profitable.  Unfortunately, I’m not holding  doge or any  old coin
coming from 2014. I only hold altcoins from 2017.

Many of founders stopped to develop their projects. That is why their price is close to zero.
For me it is very important how useful is the project, what results does it have and what will be demand for tokens in future.
There are very interesting ecological projects https://moss.earth/blog
I thing that the demand in nature protection will increase.

I checked the price of MCO2 token. It grow. If project is useful its price will grow too.

It is good to have some of these old coins in your collection. But I should say that if there is a way for you to sell it then I would recommend that you sell it right away so that you will be able to get some money out of it. There is no point of having old coin collection, unless you really cannot sell these coins then it's ok for you to keep them. But as long as there is market for it and you can trade them then by all means sell them.

I have many hold coins in my myetherwallet that all come from bounty but most of the hold coins I have in my wallet address have no potential but not all have potential the others have potential but their project is moving slowly because of covid-19 but I hope that the hold coins in my wallet will have value.
I also checked myetherwallet with hope of seeing one or two promising coin lo and behold I was disappointed that their values was still very low they are still shit coins for now without any value,  just  crowded my wallet, I won't give up on some of them hopefully they might have value in the nearest future, I will keep hope alive.

There are many coins with me in my MEW wallets, but most of them are dead coins which we don't see any active developments from the team and it seems most of the companies left the project, this makes many of them don't have any value and some of them are not listed in the exchanges.

for now I am still mostly altcoins that used to be unstable but the altcoins that are currently just listed are up so high maybe my suggestion is that you better look for altcoins that have the potential to invest at this point because at this time many things that people are afraid of happen to ripple which is going through very badly for its investors.

actually for real projects will have no excuse if covid is the obstacle, look at the market during covid! Real projects are still developing well whereas having an unprofessional team has many reasons

Recently, i dont hold any really old coins, i just hold some EOS and CLO. At this moment, in my opinion their price really undervalued.
Also, CLO have cold staking feature which makes me earn some coins every 27 days. Its already listed on Bitfinex and HitBTC too, so it isnt hard to sell some of my coins when i need it.

I don't have any coins from 2014. I don't like to hold any coin for too long, as soon as I get a good profit I sell them all. Because I have researched most of the coin if held for too long loses their value and become shitcoins. So I don't like to be greedy or not be emotional to hold them forever. But right now I am holding ETH and I am hopeful about ETH right now.
l think we can not earn some money from coins which since 2014 we hold. It is meaningless for me and as you mentioned l don't prefer wasting my time with these coins, from time to time you can see that a lot of projects get unsuccessful and their coin become shitcoin. Instead of doing that it would be profitable holding some coins like ETH, BNB, XRP, etc. Top altcoins are always profitable, they have more chance to get rich from their investment than others.

Until now, the coins I hold are Ethereum, I have several Ethereum in my personal Nano Ledger wallet since 2017. And all the tokens I have I exchange to Ethereum, because in my opinion only Ethereum is very trusted and very good to be used as an asset for save and hold

All the coins that I keep are old, I do not invest in new ones because the new ones are pumps.
And my, old, proven projects have proved that they are developing in a crisis !!!

I prefer low-cap tested coins. They have tremendous growth potential.
Here's my list:
1) Phore coin - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3179265.2880  I will get Graphene [GFN] https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/--5304323
2) Alias - https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-spectrecoin-anonymous-tx-tor-ring-signatures-stealth-4434053
3) NIX Coin - https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-nix-next-gen-privacy-currency-multi-layered-interoperability-platform-5099680
4) SafeCoin - https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-safe-safecoin-community-edition-of-solana-2838370
5) EmerCoin

For me, small capitalization is a BIG PERSPECTIVE! You can invest a little, but get a lot of money!

That's a very nice selection of old coins you've got there, mate. I'm quite fond of both Phore and Emercoin due to the many features they provide. Emercoin aims to be an "All-in-one" blockchain platform, by becoming a decentralized DNS provider, decentralized certificate authority, and more. It's one of those hidden gems on the crypto/Blockchain space. Unfortunately, most people are focused on the "new kid on the block" in order to make lots of money. They don't care about a cryptocurrency's usability as long as they're able to double or triple their investment in no time. This explains why so many good-old coins tend to become de-listed from exchanges in the long run. Developers will have no choice but to abandon the project in its entirety as people move on to big players like Bitcoin and Ethereum. At least, the code is open for anyone to modify to their heart's content. Old coins that are abandoned can be easily "resurrected" thanks to the decentralized and open source nature of crypto.

Nonetheless, holding old coins is great because they're tried-and-tested blockchain networks capable of standing the test of time. I'm still holding a few old coins like Peercoin, Namecoin, and Blackcoin because they're rock-solid blockchain networks. Their trajectory of development and innovation, makes them a more secure option than newer coins like EOS or Cardano. By diversifying your investment between new and old coins, you'll be able to achieve peace of mind. Who knows if someday one of your holdings become extremely valuable in the future? Depending on the old coin you choose, you can end up with lots of money in your pocket as its value increases over the long term. The risks are high, but the rewards are quite attractive for anyone to ignore. Just my thoughts Grin

A lot of cryptocurrencies have been created throughout time.

I personally have not held onto any old or even dead blockchains.

But I am working on a new project focused on old blockchains and with the attempt of reviving them.

I wanna ask what everyone here is holding onto.

I am mainly interested in coins from 2014 and older, but anything you deem "old" is welcome! Smiley

I might hit you up if I find your coin interesting Cheesy

One of my new picks is Leacoin because of its age and simple configuration.
I got rid of all the old coins quite a while back, infact few years back because i just felt that they are out dated or have not grown or developed more to my liking, obviously im holding btc and eth but im talking about other old coins mist of them are still there and trading but not doing much so im happy with my decision.

is Ethereum one of the old coin? Roll Eyes if yes, then I hold the old coin which is Ethereum, because I have sold all my coin to buy Ethereum and of course I swap all my coin for Ethereum when the price of Ethereum is still at $640, so now I have made a big profit from Ethereum, but of course I haven't sold my Ethereum yet and I still buy Ethereum until the price of Ethereum reaches its ATH price (then I'll sell it).
