I had an opportunity to invest early in Bitcoin but ignorance and lack of funds ruined my chances.
I discovered about bitcoin when I was still in school. I did my research and I discovered that bitcoin wasn’t a scam then, because there were lots of Ponzi schemes then, so everyone was just so scared to invest their money in anything online. So after so much research, I decided to start trading with little amounts. What ruined my chances of investing early in bitcoin was that I wasn’t financially stable then, I was depending on only the amounts sent to me by my parents for survival.

So during that period, I was able to save a small amount of money, and if I am broke sometimes, I do end up selling some of the bitcoin that I bought just to use the money to take care of myself. So lack of funds was the reason why I didn’t invest early.

Goodnight, ohh Leo!!! 🦅
I almost lost everything when someone very close to me went deceased. It  not about the funds for a ceremonial occasion, it was about the influence that the said person had... It derailed my interest in so many things and I had to face real life problems instead.

After a few years, since I do alot of reading, I began to develop sudden interest in bitcoin through the documentaries i read and ... that's it. I got introduced by a friend to the forum and, it looked like I had to start all over again. Yunno that feeling of knowing something but doing it the wrong way? That was it.

I had an opportunity to invest early in Bitcoin but ignorance and lack of funds ruined my chances. I discovered Bitcoin in the early stages but ignorance never allowed me pay attention to it back then, to be honest I felt it was a new scam to steal people's money therefore I didn't even care to learn about it when i first had the opportunity to, but along the line I picked Interest in it when Bitcoin attained a height above $10k in 2017 but I was very unwilling to invest the pocket money I earned from my dad since I didn't have any job back then and solely depended on my parents for financial support.

Nevertheless, my doubt about Bitcoin got cleared when Bitcoin went beyond $17k and got to about $25k plus towards the ending of November in 2020, I had no choice but to invest with the little money I got from linear jobs I was earning from by then, and it really helped me that December when it crossed $28k and I was able to get food items and gifts for my parents with some of the profits I got from it. If only I had invested earlier or had been able to convince my parents to try invest since they were financially capable of doing so but I was so ignorant and had doubts over the future of BItcoin.

However I'm so grateful for joining this great forum that's helped to enhance my knowledge concerning Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrencies at large to a certain level and currently I don't regret anymore since I've realised that it's not too late to invest more and hold for the future cause I've seen and now believe that  the chances of Bitcoin attaining more heights is still very possible.
Well, the only thing I would say ruined my chances of investing in bitcoin early when I first discovered it in 2016; is funds, I can't say it's ignorance because from the very first day I came to the knowledge of bitcoin, I got really interested in it, I wanted to know more about it, I was all over Google doing multiple searches about bitcoin and how I can earn it, it was during that search that I came across this forum as it appeared in one of the search results, I came here and started reading a lot about bitcoin.

I was interested to invest in bitcoin at the time but I lack funds to do so, I was actually working then, but the salary was peanut, not enough for my feeding not to talk of that of my family, it was a very hard time for me back then.

But coming back to today, though I sometimes regret the fact I could not invest in bitcoin when I discovered it due to lack of funds, I still very much appreciate the fact I am here today, and how far my life have changed because of bitcoin, I don't regret much to be honest.

A few things impacted me. I was much younger, and so my old self would blame lack of funds. However, even if I had invested $5,000 back then, that would be 20+ BTC. It wasn't lack of funds, it was mindset. I saw Bitcoin only as an investment. Something that I would buy, with the intention of selling. So I always sold. I never held. I now see Bitcoin as freedom and a hedge against the entire economic and political system. I will never sell my Bitcoin again.

When I was new in the industry as well, I also never thought of holding my bitcoins for very long, I used to sell them whenever I needed funds, and whenever I was getting some profit, their price was way lower than where it is today but we didn't know it can reach this place some day. People used to speculate and say that Bitcoin is going to go higher, but who would have thought it would reach $73k one day?

This is the reason why I don't blame people who had either sold their bitcoins in the initial days or have lost their wallets that had bitcoins because they weren't expecting it to become so popular or gain such a high value some day, so they sold them as soon as they could because there were also less buyers at that time.

Well, I'm not gonna lie, that first statement you have thinking that bitcoin could be a scam or something similar to ponzi schemes, that's what I thought too when I heard about it somewhere in 2014 or 2015. I can't remember it precisely, but that was supposed to be the biggest chance I had to invest earlier. But no, I don't have any doubts about it because I wasn't really interested during time. In fact, I am thankful that later after a year or two I started to get interested and owned my first bitcoin.
I mean there's no time for regrets though, because here we are already and it's not too late yet as we still have a lot opportunity to earn a good profit.

My story is very similar, I first heard about Bitcoin back in 2016 and was really interest in the new form of payment outside of the reach of banks. Back then Bitcoin was a quick and cheap way to withdraw money made online and I didn't really consider storing coins long term. The price in the 2016/2017 era was around 10k USD and it seemed like a good price to me, I didn't expect the prices to rise to 70k USD for 1 Bitcoin. I wish I would have been more long term focused, but for me it was all about making a quick profit and converting it back into Fiat money. This was partly due to greed and also to a lack for financial support. During university I had almost no money and looked always for new opportunities to make money. In case money would have been no issue back then, things would look different today. Unfortunately, we can't turn back time and need to move on, learning from our mistakes and to not repeat them.

I developed a lot of love for Bitcoin when I first came to know about it. I first heard about bitcoin around 2022 to 2023 when I had so much love for this bitcoin that I can't express in words. I always thought that I would make some money from this Bitcoin at least once. I always wondered how people make money from here but finally I got success through my friend. But even though I found out about Bitcoin later, I have no regrets here. Many may have regretted not being able to invest in Bitcoin at this time, but I have no regrets. Although I found out later I am still very happy that I came across Bitcoin. I still think I came across Bitcoin at the right time and made the investment. I am still trying to invest but I am successful in my investment and investing using DCA method. I always think about the future, I never think about the days left.

At one point i had 12btc and 2million doge that wasn't worth much at the time, what ruined it was my own stupidity and lack of patience. I firmly believed btc would keep growing, but i was broke, a kid, and never really had money before. so i sold and used the money on the dumbest sht imaginable.

tbh i would feel better if i never had it to begin with. Thinking about it always makes me sick.

You are right that we cannot change the past. Things we have experienced in the past become experiences for us. Bitcoin offered a great opportunity to people and still continues to offer it. The rapid development of Bitcoin and the rise in its price caused many people not to benefit from this price rise.
This is true and thank you for saying this.

We are always late than others who knew of Bitcoin and adopted Bitcoin earlier than us but we are always sooner than people who will be born later, or at nearly same ages as ours, same generations but they know of Bitcoin later than us and adopt Bitcoin later than us.

Bitcoin will always continue to provide opportunities to its investors. Some opportunities that could not be evaluated at the time can be evaluated today. Goals can be achieved with planned work, knowledge and investment at the right time.
Bitcoin is here, its blockchain is here, since 2009 and I believe it will continue to work (Proof of Work) in many years. It gives us fair chance to access Bitcoin blockchain, for transactions and for SoV (Store of Value) if we can accept it.

Accept it or not, it's freedom and it's personal choice.

I didn't invest in Bitcoin earlier because I didn't have money to invest, so I had to start accumulating Bitcoin from zero through micro tasks on the internet. Thankfully it was a long time ago, so Bitcoin was still cheap and I managed to collect a decent amount of satoshis to hold for the future. Of course I could be in a much better position if I had bought Bitcoin back then, instead of only working on online tasks. However, I can't complain about it too, because I know at least I had the opportunity to work for it, while nowadays it's just not possible anymore, due to different factors of the market which have changed along the years.

Back when I first heard about Bitcoin, I didn’t have a credit card or a bank account so even though I would have liked to have invested in it I just didn’t have the means to do it. I considered doing an in-person cash trade through Local Bitcoins but I never really found the right opportunity.

Bitcoin just became too popular too fast and this is why most people missed out on getting in earlier. We can’t really change the past but we can still take advantage of future price gains by accumulating in the present.

I was not that much in crypto. I knew about it but never explored it from investing point of view. Also, I had limited funds at that time so I could not invest heavily in crypto anyway.

Most people think that ignorance is what caused them to miss the opportunity to invest in bitcoin early on, but I am sure that even if they had understood, they would not have invested at the time. Simply because even Satoshi once said that bitcoin could become very big or could become nothing, even he had no guarantees about the future of bitcoin. Therefore, it was inevitable that people were afraid and had no faith in bitcoin in the early days. Therefore, it can be said that in the early days, people did not dare to invest in bitcoin because of fear, did not dare to take risks and did not believe in bitcoin, ignorance is not the cause of everything.

I agree with that, it has nothing to do with ignorance if you don't believe in something when none of its potential has been seen, so if we are talking about people who didn't invest in Bitcoin when it was priced very low, we can't blame them because no one would put their money in something just like that.

However, if we talk about people who didn't believe it when it had gained some popularity and its price was well above $5,000, then we can say that those people ignored it out of ignorance and a lack of knowledge. If they had tried doing some research about it, they would find out its potentials and could invest if they had the funds available, but they chose to ignore it and move on and they regret doing that today.

So, it depends on a case-to-case basis, I would say.
Exactly will depend on each person's case-to-case, not ignorance will be the only reason why many people miss the opportunity to invest in bitcoin early. Similar to today, although bitcoin has become popular and I also agree that not everyone has a complete understanding of bitcoin. But not everyone who understands bitcoin will decide to invest or use it, many people still refuse to choose or invest in bitcoin even if they understand it clearly. Therefore, it cannot be said that lack of understanding is the reason why people do not choose or invest in bitcoin.

Missed out on Bitcoin early on too due to doubts. But hey, better late than never, right?
If there is still a desire to learn and know more about Bitcoin, I think it is never too late for anyone who wants to get involved in Bitcoin. Because it is clearly better than not wanting to know about it at all, as you mean, so anyone who already has a desire to learn things related to Bitcoin must always be supported and given a more complete understanding so that people like that will always love Bitcoin forever. And the issue of doubts when you first hear the word Bitcoin is also quite normal for everyone before they research it themselves.

Underestimate- nothing
We often see that those who do not understand well will lose the opportunity to invest, but if they are brave enough to take risks at that time they will certainly choose to invest with the risk of losing their money if what they invest in is not what it is today and in that case Of course the choice is very important and only those who dare to take risks have succeeded in making a profit now and indeed when Bitcoin first appeared, not everyone cared about it and dared to invest in it, so what you say is true, ignorance is not the cause of someone not daring to do it. investment, of course there are also risks that they must be brave enough to take so they choose to invest.
You know even when you have interest to invest the capital might also be a challenge at that particular time. Their is no way you can invest without money. Even as knowing is important money ia also important and they are both important you can even have knowledge after the capital their is nothing serious to do than to study. To invest you have to be a risk taker if you look at those top guys investing or even trading bitcoin if they tell you the amount they have lost investing in bitcoin and they still did not give up check their status now does guys are big time traders so their is no challenge you won't face when you  investing in bitcoin. And even when i started hearing about bitcoin didn't really I only usually hear bitcoin and nothing else. And I don't even have money to have been able to have invested then because I would not want to even gamble out of the little I was given by my parents. But now see were bitcoin as gotten to. My own version will now be no risk no gain.

#SWGT PRE-SALE IS LIVE
Alright, so picture this: it's 2014, and I'm chillin' at a coffee shop, scrollin' through some tech forums. I stumble upon this weird thing called Bitcoin. Folks are sayin' it's digital money, decentralized, all that jazz. I'm intrigued, but a bit skeptical.

Then, outta nowhere, my old college buddy texts me, "Hey, wanna invest in this new coffee shop franchise? It's the next big thing!" I'm like, "Sure, why not?" So, I take all my spare cash and dump it into this coffee shop idea, thinking I'd make bank.

Fast forward a couple years, the coffee shop goes bust. Bad location, terrible management, you name it, it went wrong. Meanwhile, Bitcoin's price starts creeping up, and I'm sittin' there with my fancy lattes and zero profits.

By the time I realize my mistake, Bitcoin's already skyrocketing, and I'm kickin' myself for not putting at least a few bucks into it back when I first heard about it. Now, every time I see a Bitcoin news headline, I can't help but think about that coffee shop and what could've been. Classic case of bad timing and missed opportunities!

At least for now, I tried to stick to crpyto whatever happens.

Regrets will only come when you understand better about bitcoin that many people have been able to change their fortunes by investing in bitcoins. Bitcoin is a reliable place to invest surely we can invest in bitcoin with confidence and if we can invest in bitcoin at the right time then we can change our fortune by investing in bitcoin. If we can invest in Bitcoin at the right time and gain enough knowledge about the market before investing, we will definitely be one of the successful investors in future Bitcoin investment days if we invest patiently. Bitcoin has changed the lives of many people so we must invest patiently with a long-term plan so that 10 more people are interested in investing after seeing the success of our investment.

From that day on, I started taking a lot of time researching about bitcoin, thankfully there’s this bitcointalk forum that gives clear discussion about bitcoin, which until now I’m completely active on it. You know, even if I missed those past opportunities, but to be honest I’ve no regrets with it. And just like I’ve said, everything has its perfect timing. And I think now is the perfect timing to trust bitcoin over other assets or investments.

I have already learned a lot on this forum since 2022 when I joined here. The forum has given me broad knowledge about Bitcoin, and I sometimes wish that I knew about the forum earlier than now. I probably would have had lots of early support and guidance from experienced Bitcoiners here. Those who knew about the forum on time even had the advantage of earning free bitcoin via bounty and airdrops, which is what so many people did not have the privilege to enjoy.
