I was still a kid that wanted nothing to do with it and I've got other priorities that really mattered to me at that time and at the same time, bitcoin wasn't that popular as it should be when I was still a kid so I don't even have a knowledge oof bitcoin's existence yet so I'm not really sure how that can work. In a hindsight though, I feel like I would've hated bitcoin if it was introduced to me much earlier because I was surrounded by people at that time that don't think or anything like that when it comes to this kind of stuff and I'd say that I'm easy to be influenced at that time so I'm probably not in bitcoin community much earlier because I'll grew hating it because of the people around me at that time.

For me, No regrets.

I believe everything has time, back when I heard of it, that wasn't my time to invest. Now I have a little stash it's my time.

Truth is everyone here appreciates the opportunity to be here and we all do our best to buy more bitcoin especially those of us who didn't buy earlier.

These are my thoughts too. I imagine if everyone regrets not investing earlier and then somehow we all had the chance to change that. If everyone invests from then, Bitcoin wouldn’t be worth what it’s worth today. Now you’re buying it, you’re keeping it alive with that trade. And someone who buys Bitcoin next year is also adding to its growth.

However I'm so grateful for joining this great forum that's helped to enhance my knowledge concerning Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrencies at large to a certain level and currently I don't regret anymore since I've realised that it's not too late to invest more and hold for the future cause I've seen and now believe that  the chances of Bitcoin attaining more heights is still very possible.

What ruined my chances was lack of finance and also disbelief because when Bitcoin started becoming popular in my country was during the days of ponzi scheme and just like my country men I also thought Bitcoin was a ponzi scheme and stayed away from it. If I'm being honest with myself I would had probably sold off my Bitcoin if I had invested then because the pressure was just too much but since I used that period to learn and got used to the industry, I can now stand my ground when Bitcoin is being dragged in the mud to correct those having a misconception about Bitcoin because they don't understand what Bitcoin is all about.

We should not take it for granted to get an inside view of what Bitcoin is all about before we start investing. I might have missed my first chance of buying Bitcoin then but I won't miss out on the opportunity before us today and it's no surprise that I'm doing everything possible to be able to own as many Bitcoin that I can get. Some new investors just joining the industry because of the bull season ahead will make the same mistake we made if they don't do their findings properly before investing.

I had an opportunity to invest early in Bitcoin but ignorance and lack of funds ruined my chances. I discovered Bitcoin in the early stages but ignorance never allowed me pay attention to it back then, to be honest I felt it was a new scam to steal people's money therefore I didn't even care to learn about it when i first had the opportunity to, but along the line I picked Interest in it when Bitcoin attained a height above $10k in 2017 but I was very unwilling to invest the pocket money I earned from my dad since I didn't have any job back then and solely depended on my parents for financial support.

Yes those who got on the train very early actually had the luxury to benefits but just like you many threw the opportunity away due to their ignorance about it. If you look well during the time there was a high number of Ponzi schemes that were revolving around and anything digital money then was a very big scare to people. I would say bitcoin then fell just into it and was actually too good to be true. As for your case I don’t think it would have still been ok then for you to invest because of lack of personal income. Investing then will have pushed you into unnecessary panic.

The thing is not everybody that even got the chance to invest early even made huge profits as we point it out to be now. Some might have panicked and sold at a little high or even a loss when it was facing dips then. It could be that you would have been part of the latter. So no need to worry about what has passed as I say to people bitcoin price below the 6 figure in $$ is still at an early stage if you ask me. Start DCAing now and not regret later

There is nothing to regret regardless of whether you entered a few years ago or now because after all, confidence is the most important thing in this case and it could be that even if you entered a few years ago when you were not too sure then the result will be the same where you sell the assets you have and make it a new regret.

What has happened cannot be repeated and what must be thought of now is the future because we are already in the same boat where bitcoin is one of the choices to be used as a long-term investment so we must remind each other that this is a risky investment and as much as possible mentally and the confidence we have must be strong in order to survive well in bitcoin until our goals are achieved.  Its not wrong to regret what has happened but if we have to drag on with regret then we will never be able to survive because the shadows of past regrets are still there and will continue to make us doubt in the end.

I came to know about Bitcoin when it was priced around $500 or less, it was the era when faucets were newly introduced in the market and users were crazy about faucet claims and I was one of those people always sitting in front of my computer and claiming satoshis from each faucet.

We used to have faucet rotators in those days, it's a sort of a website where all faucet websites are added, you keep claiming from each website and clicking next and the next faucet website would open and then you can claim from that and continue doing that until you do it with all.

I always liked Bitcoin, since the beginning, the only reason why I couldn't or didn't buy Bitcoin at that time was because I didn't have money. I was a student, had no job, and my pocket money wasn't enough for me to do that.

First time I've heard of Bitcoin I thought it was a kind of virtual currency like the Linden Dollar, and since I wasn't playing much at video games I had no utility to use it. Few years later I tried to understand what it was actually but most of the information I found was talking about mining with very technical discussions and expensive hardware needed to mine it efficiently. So I dropped it a second time. The third and final one has been when I wanted to invest into gold, but many articles and discussions were talking about the "digital gold" instead, saying it was more profitable and easier to invest into it. So I decided to do it and my journey into the rabbit hole started like that.

No dream is too big and no dreamer is too small
You’re right, don’t feel too regretting because everyone has certainly pass that stage, doubting the potentials of bitcoin since all we heard about it is telling everyone that bitcoin is a Ponzi scheme, and that it’s design to become a tool to all scammers and hackers, and encourage money laundering in the process. Good thing there’s bitcointalk forum that clears up everything. I know a lot have gone this kind of experience but the important thing is we end up never believing, and now we are already earning well and making significant profits out from bitcoin that we used to doubt before.

Don't let others control your BTC -> self custody
In my case it was lack of knowledge. I literally first heard the word bitcoin in 2013 from a friend. Before that I was into my hobbies, work, studying, playing computer games with friends, riding bicycle... My days were full and there was no place for bitcoin. Once I heard about it and became interested it was around the time when bitcoin went parabolic in 2013 but it felt like it was too expensive at the time with 8-10x rise in one year. When it fell down I bought my first coins and joined this forum.
I don't regret being late. In fact if I bought exactly when I first started reading about it, I'd face a scary pullback and lose over 50% of my money.

But the challenges that have passed have made me stronger, and I feel like I have many shortcomings, but perhaps the regret is gone because I feel grateful for everything even if it is not as expected. With bitcoin I also have many opportunities to buy at low price periods, but at some point I still need to sell it to spend on personal matters. But I'm happy because I learned about bitcoin and saw the opportunities that can change life conditions, anyway in this space there are many stories shared about how to make profits through bitcoin, but it dawned on me that I probably needed more bitcoin than I needed many other assets.

Mostly for those people who known Bitcoin in its earlier years but failed to get into the wagon are the lack of trust.  And for those who had hop in and eventually sold their holdings were due to financial issues.  While others just don't know that Bitcoin exist, in short the lack of awareness about Bitcoin.

In my case, I got to know BTC in early 2014 but sadly I do not have the financial capacity to accumulate much.  I started working to earn BTC at the later date but due to my financial needs, I have to sell my accumulated BTC. Since  I so wanted to own a property and at the same time renovate the house we are currently living in, I  needed a huge amount of money to execute such a plan so I have no other option but to sell my stash in order to finance that goal.

For me I had so many issues which affected my chances of investing earlier, fear, lack of self confidence, doubt and lack of knowledge.Even when I had the opportunity to acquire bitcoin because a friend of mine was already informed about bitcoin and he invested and was holding bitcoin comfortably without panic, I still didn't believe that bitcoin wasn't a scam since I believed the information that was been spread on the media by enemies of bitcoin to be true.

I think the days of living in regret was over few years ago when I became an investor even though the price of bitcoin has not dropped low like when I first got informed to acquire bitcoin then but am happy because the future is bright with bitcoin.

I also heard about Bitcoin for a very long time, but I did not pay attention to it. I wanted to learn and know what it is all about, whether it is a scam or not. However, I did not bother to learn about it because I did not want to invest myself in any Ponzi schemes due to my past experiences with them.

When I first heard about Bitcoin, it was not because I lacked the money to invest. At that time, I was getting support from my family while I was in college. I was fully focused on gambling and did not believe in online investments because of how I had been scammed before.

A few years after I first heard about Bitcoin, I was lucky to meet a school friend who had already invested in it. He always talked about Bitcoin, and that is how I decided to learn about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general. After gaining some knowledge about Bitcoin, I became interested in investing in it.

I discovered Bitcoin when it was valued at $200 per coin. I was a teenager back then with no means of payment. I asked my parents for their card, but of course they quickly shut me down. I managed to purchase approximately 0.40 to 0.50 Bitcoin through a forum, but was scammed once in the process. Fortunately, the rest of the of the transactions were with a more reputable user and turned out fine. Apart from that, my only way into acquiring Bitcoin was through faucets that paid a reasonable amount of satoshi; unfortunately, it wasn't enough, while most of my Bitcoin was wasted on random digital stuff or was left in wallets I no longer had access to. That was the end of my involvement until late 2016 or early 2017.

This was my first ruined chance at acquiring and maintaining Bitcoin; the second and probably worst of all was after the downfall in 2018. Bitcoin had crashed from $20,000 to 1/5 of its value. I was disheartened; I abandoned my coins on an online wallet and also abandoned the forum until early 2021. This must have been my worst move so far. Had I stuck around for a little longer, I would now have a significantly greater amount of bitcoin.

Underestimate- nothing
When I heard about bitcoin i was like they are already looking for way to scam people, but when I even got the right information through my research it was almost late because of the price of bitcoin then so I almost gave up because I was like were do I even get the money to invest but if you plan and have the right information everything would be made easy because at first I did not know that you can buy in fractions and since I learnt that, I have gotten the perfect ways and it as been work for me since then because once the price goes down I will use part of my money to add to the numbers I already have.  I don't know maybe because of the nature of thing we have gone through will find it very difficult to believe, and even if we know their are scams every thing you need to know is online so their is not serious to worry about just worry about the security of your assets and how you can add to it.

Everyone will have a level where they think they have to jump into bitcoin, I learned that correctly by natural law, maybe there are some people who can already enter at the $17k level even below but there are people who already know but don't jump, maybe they are not ready at that time, and then when the price of bitcoin is at the $60k price level they can only believe in bitcoin, and yes it's just a readiness in us, maybe we are ready at the bitcoin price level at $60k, there is nothing wrong and nothing to regret because indeed someone has a different entry level, this is a natural impulse.

Even people who know about bitcoin specifically at the bitcoin price level at $3, not necessarily he bought at that time.

The moment i got to know about bitcoin then i was able to invest in it because I've heard of the opportunity in it and how this could help change a financial economy situation, i don't see anything as a hindrance as at then and till now, though I've seen so many people who were willing to invest but couldn't achieve so because they were not having either the money to exchange for it or the experience in it that could make them earn from it.

In the early days, Bitcoin was a mystery to everyone. Nobody knew if it was the real deal or just another scam, okay? Thats normal. People are naturally sceptical, especially about money. As they say, the early bird gets the worm, and you cant win without playing.

Investing goes beyond money and knowledge. Learning and improving are key. You started with little money and were late to the party, but you did amazing. You learnt and made good decisions, turning a tiny investment into much more. The art of the trade is there.

Bitcoin matters, but so does you. This experience grew you. Having learned to trust your instincts is worth more than money. Money changes, but the lesson remains.

snip..

I came to know about Bitcoin in 2011 when no one knew about it in a third world country. This happened cause one of my friend was at that time working in US and through Yahoo chat I came to know about an internet currency.

In 2015 another good friend of mine wanted me to invest in Bitcoin and Ethereum. I ignored him thinking that it will be another bubble that will explode. As of to date it has not exploded and Bitcoin is still a smooth sailor, sailing though the big waves.

The next time I heard about Bitcoin was when it was discussed in 2017 in the Big Bang Theory. I do not remember the episode but it was epic. After that episode I was desperate to be part of this revolution and I started doing some research and found out about this forum.

At first I used those lucrative altcoin bounties to get rewarded and then convert my altcoins to Satoshi. It was a great experience and I still remember how much efforts and time it took me to get to where I am now in the forum and with my wallet.
