In my opinion the main reason is it the people think about all cryptocurrency is scam so they afraid about self money.
Form two different people i have heard to insane

i think people just don't feel at ease with something new untouchable and gives you a lot of money that's at least what i have heard.
What scares people the most is the chance of losing their money. It's the reason they do not buy stocks. Yet they spend all their money on silly things and wonder why they always don't have enough.
The second thing what scares them is not knowing enough about the technology, buying the coins is a hassle for most people. Downloading a wallet is hard enough for most of them and the usability has to be improved by a lot for it to succeed in the future.

they are thinking so prejudiced without researching. this is the common scare about crypto as i see.

There are often SCAMs or hackers who want to get money from us. Often, by failing to secure their wallets, they succeed. Remember who you trust and be careful.

What are some of the reasons you've heard from people as to why they're afraid of cryptos?
It isnt real and doesnt exist. When people cant understand something they actively look to poke holes in whatever that is and I think this is a common reaction to cryptos. It isnt necessary of course and if people thought about it longer than a minute some stuff might actually stick. But alas we live in the world of instant gratification and I think this is another reason people are afraid or unwilling to learn about cryptos.
I think it's quite common for the normal people refuse to accept a new thing, especially when you need invest some money on it. And for the cryptocurrencies, you don't even see something in material.
I have heard some friend say to me that bitcoin is air money which simply means (according to my friends definition) that bitcoin is not existing. He believe s everything about bitcoin is made up.
I never heard of anyone that is scared. Just some and actually many people that do not care. We are not the majority and it will be a good while before the terms are even out there for the most part. There is nothing that really appeals to most people, they see no reason that they cannot accomplish the same things in other ways and many of them can. I remember first getting into the stock markets years ago and seeing how easy that was and the returns were near the same.

Most people are afraid of risking their money in cryptocurrencies is that they don't actually have enough knowledge about trading. They are most likely the negative thinkers who always think of the worst than the best. As a noob, you'll definitely be afraid of online investments. Add to it the fact that there are myths that give bad impressions towards cryptocurrencies like bitcoin.Another reason is that these people are thinking that cryptocurrencies are fast money or a quick-money scheme. There's a lot of news about money schemes that turn out to be scams, and people are now hesitating to invest in cryptocurrencies with the fear that they might get scammed, too.

The most common reason I hear from people I know that are scared of cryptos is that they are afraid to use it because they believe crypto is fake and is a dirty money used by hackers and people in the deepweb. Every time I try to defend bitcoin and explain to them that it isn't what they think it is, they just refute my reasoning with unreasonable logic and they tend to stick to their belief that crypto is dirty money. Well I hope they would realize soon that it is good.I'm afraid of joining scam ICOs and have my effort basically put in the trash. I mean, it's easy to post and all that; however, if in the end, you cannot use the coins or exchange them for that matter, then what's the sense. Also, one thing to be worried about is if the market crashes, and it affects the value of bitcoins and altcoins. It happened before, and it may happen now.

the people didn't know about the importance of crypto as currency i heard them thats an illigal and scam, what is that kind of currency all of them believe into traditonal money but i know if the people understand the importance of crypto they don't afraid to invest crypotcurrency.

Most of the people are not know what is crypto.They only believe in cash money, bank etc. They think its not permanent ,it can not survive long. They are fool, but they Dominance their personal life with a little job. 
They think it is a ponzi scam and they are afraid to lose money.
maybe they have not known the coin, or also if already getting to know and invest, they are afraid to lose their money
The most reason why people scares and avoid crypto because, they think that crypto is a big air balloon what will blows with their money. But they are totally wrong and it so hard to explain that.
