There is no fixed proportion, because the risk ability of each person can be different. I suggest that you invest most of your capital in bitcoin. When the market starts to improve, invest more in altcoin.
you already said that the risk ability will differ from person to person , therfor that simply means that your given suggest wont probably work on him . I dont want to give my own advice either because that wont also work on him. I think the best way that op can do is to try every thing and see if what will work for him the most.
