I always jump into Tether when I smell a big decline comming. Then I buy back when I see that the bottom has been reached.
However, I am not really sure if Tether is 100% legit or not? I will be watching it closely in the future.

everything depends on whether it's a targeted or global decline, if it's targeted I'm looking for why and I make a quick decision

If you are an investor then you don't have to worry about it. This might also be a good opportunity to buy and add some holdings. On the other hand, if you are a trader then you must have a stop loss on the other hand to avoid from losing more or worst burn your whole portfolio down. As a trader you must have a precautionary measure and back up plan for this scenario and I think the best way for this is to have a plan if you are willing to cutloss or add some holdings to lower your average. It is case to case basis and really depends on how can you take risk. But for me, if for long term then I just close my portfolio and spent my day outside. Emotions can be a crucial enemy in any trade and better learn how to control it.

Im very interesting this question, that's what I'm expecting when the price drops all coins, it's good to buy any coin and hold it, then wait for coins until it's up and sell.

Hold and wait patiently. If you have money, you can buy more coin. Don't panic, the price will definitely go high one day.

Two lessons i have learnt from trading :  Am never selling at a loss again
                                                                         Investing what I can loss.
Depend on what coin that you have, if the coin is bitcoin then  we should hold when the price is fall. If you hold altcoin which developer is scams people or run away then there is no future for that altcoin except if the developer comeback, its like ICOBID which there is a rumors that it's developer will back.

Just calm, hold your bitcoins and watch for the opportunity to sell or even buy the bitcoins again. When the price of bitcoin falling, some of traders will do panic selling and i think you can take opportunity to buy bitcoins more. It's depend on the situation actually.

What I usually do if prices are falling most specially if the coins are very low, I would buy more coins from a much lower price and your total amount of couns would then be divided; the result would be lesser losses. Read or research on google about books or ebooks on trading.

Yeah i do the same, but it is not difficult if you are just in a very panic situation like most people who is in here.. They can not even support to be in a little loss and that is the main reason of why they all are selling all their coins for insanely cheap prices.

My suggestion when the price if falling down is HOLD yes just hold it then wait for it to pump or if you want use then method sell low buy lower
That was a crucial move because more often times that when you sold you can't buy lower because it maybe the dipped price so once it bounced back you will only buy again at much higher price. My technique is to leave trading in a week and play games do some important things thats it.

I usually when there is a drop but the overall trend is bullish, start to buy parts on good supports crashing the wallet into several parts.  For example, by 10-30-60%

Unless you know exactly what you are doing, in my experience the best thing to do when prices are falling in cryptos is to HOLD. Sometimes it takes years to see your money back, but finally it will be back. If you sell and then the price goes up again, you just took a loss.

The market seems skittish but I believe in 2018 Bitcoin and Cryptopia will be the focus for the whole world. Grin Grin Grin

In days like yesterday, when prices fall or even tank, the best choice is to open a bottle of wine and hodl. Those who panic sell then are destined to regret in 90% of the cases.

Hello. I have a folio of BTC, ETH, NEO and some alts. I've been watching at Bitcoin since 2015 but bought only at this summer (and the last move was quite bad, I bought some BTC for $4600). I try to study, watch vids, read forum and twitters. Chris Dunn has a vid on the topic but nothing really specific. I'm interested in some ideas about what to do when prices are falling.  Sell alts and hold bitcoin? Short? (and if yes, so the next question is how to learn how to short?).
this is the right time to answer this thread, because almost this whole week prices of all coins hs been dropping bad..so guys what are you doing right now?

Me?well as what im always saying HOLD STILL because i was too late when i found out about the china and korea issue.

If the price of a coin from your portfolio has not fallen much and you see that it will continue to fall, then sell coins, so that you can buy them back when the price drops. If the price has fallen dramatically and you do not want to sell - wait until the price again grows and you can get your money back and even earn.

Do not focus on price! If price is going down, spend time with another thing, go walk, write something, go to a run in the park, go live your life, because real life is about it, is about you and your relatives.

The lesson stays up: never spend money on cryptos that you cannot loose.
Maybe we are becoming alert when we know that the prices are falling but then the right thing to do when it is happening is don't panic and never ever sell your coin. Instead it is the right time to buy coins of your as an additional to your coin. And the most important thing to keep in mind that we shouldn't focus on the prices instead have patience and wait for the right time when this thing happens.

There are only 2 options for you to make when the price is falling down:
1. Cut the loss sell all them immediately.
2. Hold them till them bounce back.

In this case, the most correct decision will be to keep and not sell all of its assets, since based on statistics, it is the long-term investor who wins more often.
But it would be suck if the market keep falling down without any signal about bouncing back. So i guess you choose the keeping decision.
You never know which way the market will go. Therefore, if you do not use marginal trading, never fix losses and you will be in profit.
