For me more like the technology attracted me to cryptocurrency. I hold coins I can hold and sell off if I feel I have to move to another coin. Being a holder is not easy but with the right coin one wins big

you didn't list number 6. a shitcoiner.

to which i'm one. no one hold shitcoins here but me?  they all are still in my ether wallet and not even listed to any exchange.

its the holders that actually earn money the most during the bullrun. when one altcoin they hold rise up with about $5 each, they can profit big with it already. its a long wait though but its true that users who did try to hold some tokens in the past bullrun did make a lot of money.

lol . no need to post that category because it will already fall between newbie and hodler  category  . i say newbie because most newbie dont know the coins that are good quality but they will join anything or invest on anything that promise them to pay huge  .

you may not be a newbie anymore but you experience to be a noob before , thats why you still have those type of coins but you can be a hodler now  .

After losing a lot to icos and useless coins and projects I have come to the point that staying in btc or eth is the best longterm strategy. Yes there are good alts and you should take aggressive approach and enter when you see good entry but keeping your majority portfolio in btc or eth will save you in all markets.

I am a crypto enthusiast and holder in a way. A little bit of everything, but not so unambiguously that one can single out one thing. I keep some coins for a long time, and some I change periodically.

I don’t want to classify myself as just in one type of investor. my portfolio is very different and I change it all the time. I believe that you cannot just be a holder. you need to constantly monitor this volatile market

I am a Bounty hunter and also a daily Trader, I participate in various bounties here and the results of my bounties, I trade every day, of course I am the type of short-term investor, who looks at market price opportunities every day.

I am also a holder in this market, do not have too much experience and time to become a professional trader. I only invest a little money in top projects in this market, and try to make money off bounty. But this year seemed like a failed year for me

I belong to all. Most of the time, i buy some ICOs even though they are too risky, I just try to invest in them in small amounts. I fomo too only if there is a fundamental news like when a alt listed on coinbase exchange, I jump in some hype coins like DEFI for little gain and sale within some hours.

The best I have enjoyed so far is buying early as investor.

I'm yet to even start investing in cryptocurrency, I'm still finding my feet and taking advantage of bounties to earn some tokens which may usher me into the space. This makes me more of a Novice according to your standard and I'm only investing my time and effort in the space. I guess that's still a level of investment.

There are different types of investors with varying priorities goals, habits, and tolerance of risk. Read this thread to know the type of crypto investor you are.

1. Newbie: In any industry you must first be a newbie before you become a pro. To get started with crypto you need a little capital to start. This group include those with a little or no knowledge about the crypto industry but eager to seek to diversify their investments into new high risk assets that offer a good return

2. Crypto Enthusiast: Like a newbie, the crypto enthusiast joined the market not long ago and still doesnt have enough knowledge about the crypto industry although he has built a diversified portfolio which he checks their performance everyday.

3. Hodler: They are people who will rather hold any crypto no matter the ups and down they believe one day it will get to their desired price

4. Early Adopter: The early adopter are people who got into bitcoin when it was less than $100 about some few years ago. At that time everyone thought bitcoin was a scam but they took the courage to buy some because they believed in the technology.

5. Professional Trader: These guys have seen crypto trading as a part time or full time job. They dont have concern with holding cryptos for a long time. Their main and only goal is short term profits.

What type of investor are you? Im definitely an HODLER
I am just a crypto enthusiast and holder but not as holding so many coins. I am not also a good trader but always trying hard to be good trader. Whatever position do we have in this crypto business if we are not greedy, always read and observe everything and do some research we can really earn high profit.

I'll say my position cut across newbie, crypto enthusiast and holder. I have this belief that we never stop learning, especially in the cryptocurrency space where obsolescence is a norm and various technologies are discovered daily and brought into limelight. One needs to be informed to make the most out of the space and that can only be derived when you're enthusiastic about the industry.

I'm into Bitcoin only as I'm a newbie myself and I've learned some hard lessons about crypto that drop in price after you invested on them, I've lost over 2000$ because I got into a altcoin when it was surging, something I will never do ever again

In the past I was a holder, because I had a main job outside and only entered this market as a part-time job and earning additional income from it. Now the pandemic has terminated my job and I have to work full time in this market and try to become a professional trader.

I have been here for almost a year but I think I still at number 1 in the choices. I am still newbie because emotions get me overflowed every btc and other crypto market price falls down. This is my problem ever since I join investing in cryptocurrency. However, sometimes I may get lucky because I am a short term holder and every time crypto making greens indicator for an  increase and selling it then later on I will found out that crypto market price falls down to which if I will buy again and increase my crypto.

I am just an early adopter who got free bitcoin and crypto from this forum, and held it in the hopes of going to the moon,
because I couldn't invest when I first learned about Bitcoin and other crypto markets,
and I just try to hold Bitcoin and crypto that I get, so that the more profit I get..

To restrict or stamp investors into singular heads is an impossible task, for i think all of us at some point have been one or the other or some together at the same time. At least for me all of them apply, and i believe a crypto enthusiast covers just about all of them.

I was not a great investor and to be honest back in 2017 i chased a lot of shiny looking icos and made huge loses and then i learnt that hodling good coins is enough because low quality projects and coins are risky and you may lose it all while top coins will yield good returns slowly but surely.

I like daily trading and took profit from daily trading. Its need proper knowledge and research for Daily trading. You need prepare yourself for live update, events, news regarding altcoin you wanted to trade because if you are not prepared yourself then you can loose your fund. Their are many exchanges who provided high leverage trading which is very risky. So you need to be active if you are trading in future. I usually took profit time to time. If I made 100 dollars profit then I put 50 dollars in btc for long term and 50 dollars withdraw for my daily expenses.
I think the method you described is very correct and indeed for traders, they must be able to use the same method as you described because that way the trading capital they have will not run out and will always have the opportunity to make a profit withdrawal even though trading cannot provide guarantee always profit.
