A lot of factors that can be considered for its death. It could be the loss of demand in the global market or it could be the people itself, the community that's careless and greedy. Loss of interest and willingness is the greatest challenge in the crypto world and it won't bring you anywhere but bad results. It has been for a long time declared that it's dead since it started making noise in the market even up to this very days, but in contrary the more it continues paved the way and really an extreme breakthrough. And now a lot are enjoying and earning from it. Bitcoin will live forever as long as we let it be. The future and welfare of bitcoin is in our hands. I'm not sure bitcoin will be destroyed, although many countries forbid it, I think it will not be able to destroy bitcoin, maybe bitcoin will be destroyed, if worldwide there is no longer akse internet, because bitcoin will work only with internet access.
Bitcoin will be dead if the electricity and internet connection will be shut down across the whole planet because bitcoin nodes cannot contact each other. Even a temporary shut down will create confusion among bitcoin community. Other than that, the government restriction all over the world, making it hard to exchange bitcoin, making it's transaction useless.
