What do you guys think it would happen if all the governments in the world declared bitcoin to be illegal?
How do you think the community would react? What could be the possible solutions?
If you mean illegal activity violate the law will go to jail I'd better not use bitcoin, If the government had already said illegal bitcoin we can't do anything else
Every citizen needs to abide of the laws regulated by their  government. In the case of bitcoin several other options were there to by-bass and use bitcoin. So banning bitcoin is possible but it can't be expected 100% effective in implementation among the users.

Even the government declared bitcoin to be illegal, it will surely that the bitcoin community still continue to use, hold it, and trading in different exchange platform. And what is the reason anyway to reason that bitcoin is illegal? especially, nowadays the demand of the people in bitcoin is too high more than we are expecting it.
as bitcoin is surviving for last 9 years and still people are using it, and still not a sing government has taken any step to consider it as illegal, then why will they consider it as illegal right now. hope that in future still the government are not going to banned bitcoin.

Bitcoin has survived 9 years without any problem, but now crypto currencies had gain publicity, a lot of government now is trying to regulate bitcoin, so for now the government not yet make any decision, but when the government cant control bitcoin i think the government will consider it illegal and will banned bitcoin
The truth is they cannot control bitcoin because it is decentralized. The only thing they can control is the exchange sites, they can easily required those big exchange sites to comply with a more strict rules which integrate the KYC and the AMLA. That is just what the government want, they want to collect taxes and to ensure transactions are properly monitored.

If that's happen many people will get angry because we all know that bitcoin is very helpful to us and especially those person who invest big on having bitcoin will probably get mad too. The bitcoin will get down and many person will try to snatch to others.

No, that's not true. Why would banning bitcoin would cause chaos in the country? No one steals anything from anyone. The only people who will get angry are those who are earning from bitcoin and it is just their only job, to earn dusts. But those investors, no, they will be back to their life and invest on new things that might have a future.   Smiley

Right now many people have addicted to bitcoin and could not resist the feeling of being banned, but people will start migrating to other currency which is most preferable and most value able after bitcoin.

As for bitcoin itself, absolutely nothing would happen, as bitcoin's decentralized nature makes a ban very difficult to enforce. There may be a few sheeple that would do as their elite masters told them and stop using it; either out of fear or brainwashing. However, most free thinking individuals who understand how bitcoin works would continue to use it, though, probably taking a few precautions.
in fact those people who know about the importance of bitcoin will always try to use bitcoin. bitcoin is the need of new generation. therefore i do not think that the modern people will be ready to quite using bitcoin. they will even continue using bitcoin if any start consider bitcoin as banned. but i can hope that they will much more think about bitcoin before banning it.
yes we can also hope so. bitcoin is now becoming of the most important part of our life. therefore it is not so easy to bane bitcoin. i think in future government will be thinking about how to legalize bitcoin.
Think of it this way if Bitcoin was banned in all countries who do you still think will accept it? Bitcoin will be useless even to criminals because it will be impossible for them to spend Bitcoin, also no one will be willing to convert Bitcoin to Fiat because it is illegal. Bitcoin won't have a value at all of it is banned everywhere.

If Bitcoin would be banned in entire globe, I think many of us will not accept it at first  but we can move on and if there would be a new opportunity that can replace BTC. So we should not ruin or abuse the use of it, I know you are in the right age to know what is right.

It does not make much difference for those who want to do illegal work. Because they can use maliciously in other currencies.
There was always fraud and illegal work. Bitcoinde is a currency like other currencies. There are some innovations he brings. It's not a problem with bitcoin, even if somebody does illegal work with bitcoin.

For example, a knife is a tool that helps you in the kitchen. But you can kill people with a knife. This knife will not do badly. The bad thing is how he used it.

Yes, why do people always blame bitcoin. Good and bad bitcoin it depends on who uses it. And I think bitcoin created for good purpose. But I personally never ignore it, like how people see bitcoin i will still use it, as long as it is not prohibited by my country. And if my country prohibits bitcoin then inevitably I will leave bitcoin because I do not want to break the law. Thank you

People are afraid of things they do not know. They are trying to get rid of their fear by forbidding.
As people's knowledge increases, they will give up on their charges.

It's not easy to give up on habits. The change will take some time.
You answer is right the bad things are not because of bitcoin but I am wonder about the governments that a governments have well educated and intelligent working for it but still they do not try to study about bitcoin and do not know about the bad and good things of bitcoin and without any sensible action they just ban it.

I think many people will leave bitcoin and shift to another crypto currency. And those who like bitcoin very much and are succeeded for bitcoin they won't stop bitcoin at any cost.Simply they will buy a premium VPN and  start using bitcoin again.I think no government can stop people from using bitcoin.People will find some ways to earn bitcoin.
If bitcoins are banned most probably all the other crypto currencies will be banned along with it. I dont think that will ever happen though. Some countries have already banned Crypto-currencies but people still use it. It is really hard to implement a proper ban on bitcoins because, as long as you have internet, you have bitcoins. If China bans bitcoins, there might be some negative effect on the price of bitcoins as the miners and other hoarders in China will dump most of the coins they possess. Other than that, I dont think it is that easy to ban BTC in a country that has already many people adopting it. THey might have some regulations regarding it but that would be it.

And as a result of the government banned bitcoin will actually be causing new problems or lead to other illegal activities such as using a VPN to get access to their bitcoin. Thus the prohibition of bitcoin instead will cause new problems.
Moreover, there will be no cryptocurrency can match bitcoin in my opinion. Thank you
firstly, it can't be "banned" it is a software suite.  it could be made illegal to pocess, but that is impossible to enforce.  it is a question about soemthing that cannot happen

If bitcoin was banned, other digital currencies will rise up such as altcoins dogecoins, ethereum

That's not true... Actually, it will be a chain effect... If bitcoin is being banned, so as the other digital currency not recognized by the state... I am sure that there is no exemption to that...But I am sure too that the use of bitcoin will still remain and probably the same as today, except without local exchanges where we can convert our bitcoin to cash...  Smiley
That would be the fall of the crypto world, if bitcoin will be banned, altcoins will be majorly be affected and will fall as bitcoin falls. Like what we see now, if not because of the popularity of bitcoin, altcoins would have not exist. Still, digital currencies will always progress as that is the trend in the future but only for the digital currencies that is controlled by the government.

if the government in the whole world will banned bitcoin, i think they will not control the anger of the users. also, they have no control over it means that even they banned it, people will still use i because  they are not afraid because they can use bitcoin even without identification. they cannot stop us from using bitcoin!

How do you think the community would react? What could be the possible solutions?
If the banned accusation about bitcoin has declared by the government. All members of this forum and people who use bitcoin is affected. Their daily needs is suddenly stops for a while when that's happen. And I think the community of bitcoin get angry to the government because of immediately banned but if they give a warning to all about bitcoin maybe some are understand. And the possible solution is to give a taxes to the government every transaction.
