How far does Libra goes after its hyped in 2018? Many speculators told us that Libra gonna kill bitcoin when it hits in the market. Actually, I also convinced with its platform and of course! I waited their launched since it was promoted by Zuckerberg. However, it seems like until now Libra still struggles with their papers or legal documents. I have searched in google and it said that Libra isn`t yet available until the first half of 2020. Let us see how this centralized and regulated coin can dethrone bitcoin but for me, it is impossible. If they want to hype the market, they should convert into defi project. Just Kidding.

Libra has no chance to replace Bitcoin. They can't even launch their project because of administrative obstacles. Therefore, it is too early to talk about the threat to bitcoin from Libra. It remains only to joke as you do)

No one was talking about it from the very start of the project. Libra is another crypto, the one, which will be offered for the FB and Instagram users to let them do their payments easily. However, many countries really do not like the idea of this Facebook coin.

ey everybody Smiley

It was in 2019 when Facebook announced its own digital currency Libra. Some have been waiting anxiously, some not.
A thorough overview of this crypto can be found here: What is Libra?

There are also rumours that Libra will never see the light of the day. What do you think?
I think its the same deal as with Telegram's ton - both are closed and won't be alive anytime soon
Perhaps, other project could buy libra from facebook

Paypal incorporating bitcoin into their payment system may open the door for currencies such as Libra to prosper. The world is changing & digital currencies are the future.
Paypal doesn't have its own cryptocurrency yet, and that's a different case with Libra,
Paypal is like a wallet, and Libra is a platform that is Facebook, I'm sure if Paypal makes its own cryptocurrency,
things that will be found are the same difficulties as Facebook when launching Libra , and the SEC is against that.

Concerning now the improvement appears to proceed with the wallet and libra token. in the event that from the earliest starting point of making this crypto it was for their business advantages just, with the security imperfections that were gotten previously, Libra we will never discover with the exception of Fake coins. Also, in light of the most recent data. what we can do right presently is sitting tight for the amazement and furthermore improvement results by the group.

I hope what you say is true because until now paypal is a bridge between fiat and cryptocurrency in several countries and can make it easier for many people who don't know how to buy bitcoin that is safe and comfortable, hopefully the Libra platform is successfully launched and can make the world cryptocurrency is becoming more widespread. to be honest when there is good news from paypal that can be used to make purchases of some cryptocurrency I am very happy.

We have heard talk about Libra very often, but until now there is no definite trace.
Coinmarketcap also lists Libra coins. https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/facebook-libra/
Maybe on some talk that Libra today is a constraint on legal regulation.
Could this be the right reason?
Libra was created by the biggest company, Facebook.
I think legal regulation issues can be included in Facebook regulations.
In my opinion, Libra doesn't originate on Facebook, it's just partners.
The last thing I heard from discussions in the forum was also a regulatory problem that was an obstacle to the Libra project. I don't know what actually caused the regulatory process to take so long. but is it true, some companies also quit the Libra project which previously stated their support and became part of this project? I've read this news, but I forgot which forum.

It seems like Facebook has abandoned the Libra and no one is saying anything about it any longer.
They had difficulties with regulation and the rest of them, so they had a change of mind, it wasn’t just going to be a currency in itself but a wallet that would carry a few other cryptocurrencies and maybe have libra token, but after they have said that they never said any other thing and sometimes I do check their website and there haven’t been any update and some of their associations already pulled out.

The latest news now is on PayPal accepting Bitcoin, Litecoin and Ethereum from 2021, and they also have plans to some crypto firms, with BitGo on top the list.

Cointelegraph.com: According to an October 12 report from Reuters, central bankers and finance ministers from Group of Seven (G7), said it would halt global stablecoin projects pending appropriate regulatory oversight.
So seems Libra is on hold for some more time Undecided

Cheers,
Karl

But is this a good thing? Does Libra deserve a place among cryptocurrencies? I'm not surprised that Libra faces strong concerns from the authorities. It's not just because it's a stablecoin and because it wants to comply with the regulations to make it all official. It's also because Facebook has been caught doing very shady privacy-wise things, and their own coin would bring this on a whole new level, making Facebook even more powerful and letting it possess way more information about their customers. So I think it would be good if Libra project is blocked by the authorities and never becomes a real thing.

There is a serious obstacle to launching Libra in the form of the US securities Commission. They don't want crypto projects to replace banks. That is why they are fined and not allowed to implement such projects. Mark Zuckerberg has serious connections in the us Congress, he may be able to overcome all the obstacles, but this will not be done quickly.

zuckerberg will not be able to reach agreement with the congressmen
the influence of large American banks there is much stronger than the influence of Facebook
bankers do not want to give Facebook a powerful leverage
which, according to preliminary estimates, could be $ 5-10 billion in the first few years
bankers will not want to lose their influence, so Libra is doomed to failure.

Facebook is very important both for users and for special services that use Facebook to influence other countries and collect dossiers on the people they need. This is why Mark Zuckerberg's influence in government circles is great, and I am sure that he will achieve his goals.

american bankers are even more influential in the United States
they are printing dollars
and they do not want to allow even the slightest alternative to their money
facebook with its multi-million audience around the world could compete with banks
this is very dangerous for bankers

When it launched, many people followed libra because it was handled by famous inventor of facebook, Mark Zuckerberg. As a matter of fact, there were speculations said that it will surpass bitcoin`s popularity. However, as of now libra hasn`t yet establish its name in crypto world even it has a lot of supporters. I have no news talk about it also but I am sure that one day Libra will join the crypto world as Mark Zuckerberg is a great influencer specially when he use the social media.
Libra, even if it ever sees our world, will no longer be very popular, especially the one for which it was originally designed. Now the team will develop possible options for providing it with any one fiat currency. Therefore, Libra will no longer differ from many other existing stablecoins. Only by the fact that Zuckerberg is among the team, who in the US Senate assured that Libra will not have anything to do with Facebook.

You must understand that it is not the fault of the Libra developers, that the project has not yet been implemented. And there is not even a problem of lack of funding. The problem is the pressure the US SEC is putting on Zuckerberg and his team. They are forbidden to implement the project because the US authorities see it as a threat to their dollar and the entire banking system.

About Libra, it is still not an exact update yet. The team is probably still making their progress and also development to make many more people and parties interested again in their project. As we know that this project may be failed because so many high investors pull back their support. And the news of Libra is changing, from "wow" to something very usual.
And what we can do right now is waiting for the surprise and also development results by the team. moreover, now is the era of DeFi, Wil be they successful?

I have no doubt that Libra would have been wildly popular. Everything is connected primarily with the name of Facebook, which has an audience of hundreds of millions of people around the world. It is a pity that the US authorities do not allow Mark to implement his project and launch Libra in life.

Lately, I'm reading that Libra is facing huge resistance from the G7 countries. I think the main reason is that there are big fiat business behind the coin. It is interesting to watch who will win the battle.

At the moment, we can only suppose what the consequences might be after the launch of the Libra project. I believe that if the project could be launched, the audience of cryptocurrencies would seriously increase. People would buy Libra to pay for Facebook services, and they might be interested in learning what other cryptocurrencies exist.
