Are you still hoping for Libra to continue the launched?
I don't think they'll gonna procceed this time. As you know, there are still many issues throwing at that project that remains unclosed. Users data involved, etc.  But if Libra will have answers and solutions to some of the possible problems that may conflict in the future, then there is a chance that Libra project will successfully launch.

It's been a long, I haven't head much about Libra. Or maybe I am not in touch Smiley I think it's way long for Facebook to get it on the ground. It will not be as easy as other projects due to its market size. Let's see how Facebook will handle it in near future.

There is a serious obstacle to launching Libra in the form of the US securities Commission. They don't want crypto projects to replace banks. That is why they are fined and not allowed to implement such projects. Mark Zuckerberg has serious connections in the us Congress, he may be able to overcome all the obstacles, but this will not be done quickly.

zuckerberg will not be able to reach agreement with the congressmen
the influence of large American banks there is much stronger than the influence of Facebook
bankers do not want to give Facebook a powerful leverage
which, according to preliminary estimates, could be $ 5-10 billion in the first few years
bankers will not want to lose their influence, so Libra is doomed to failure.

Don't think that Libra is already doomed. Who knows, Zuckerberg is looking for another country to host his project? Don't think that Zuck is giving up easily on his project. He has all the means to move things and right now, we don't know what he's doing behind this stagnant project of his. Something is still happening on their Libra project. Though not creating big news but there are things on the works.

I don't find the project getting developed at the moment, they are still in the regulation process since governments apposing their project idea on most parts of the world.Probably we have to wait for years to get their project for public usage until that keep using the decentralized coins and you will never go with any centralized stable coins.

How can you be so sure that Libra can come back 2-3 years? Did you not know that the biggest investor (Mark Zuckerberg) has left the development process, it means that there is something wrong with this platform and disagrees with Mark which ultimately makes him better off than destroying his reputation, which is currently the owner of Facebook and Instagram.

it can be said that Libra has no more development and nothing can guarantee future success.
I just meant it is not right now, it is not going to get done very quickly, I didn't mean that it will happen in 2-3 years for sure, I just meant it wouldn't be as quick as people imagined. I now realize that I may have worded it poorly, it does look like I suggested it would happen sometime soon but that wasn't what I was trying to say.

The reality is that people are still expecting it to happen and still expect it to have a facebook backing, even if not mark Zuckerberg at least some sort of connection to it because they have worked together for so long. At the end of the day it may happen in 10 years, or maybe quicker or longer, I just meant it wouldn't happen in 2020 and 2021, it would be barely 2022 if it happens and probably not even then.

When I first heard LIBRA was going to be a big project and many were interested, because it was related to Facebook, which many people already knew, but until now there had been no progress with the project, whether this project was stopped, or was planning a bigger one.

Cointelegraph.com: According to an October 12 report from Reuters, central bankers and finance ministers from Group of Seven (G7), said it would halt global stablecoin projects pending appropriate regulatory oversight.
So seems Libra is on hold for some more time Undecided

Whatever, but the fact is what you said - that this project is not going to succeed and not even start at the first place. When Mark Suckerberg was considered a thief to have stolen the idea of Facebook from Winklevoss brothers, I don't think that this Libra project, which is meant to work by getting pegged with various national currencies and help Central authorities know our spends too frequently, is going to make any difference to our privacy needs but will only add a lot more chaos to it.

Maybe, some more good news here - https://cointelegraph.com/news/g7-will-block-libra-launch-until-regulations-in-place

Too risky to pass it.
Besides, there is USDT out there already.
Why pass another stable coin?  Grin

I once heard Libra being talked about in a radio station.
Radio announcer trying to tell publicly that it was a good project without even a single explanation.
I don't know if she is paid or not but you don't risk people money by saying it was good without a background/fact check.
That's also the last time I've heard of it until now.

The regulators are giving them a hard time and some of their partners left the project and i thought they left the entire plan but when i searched for that it is claimed that they are waiting for payment license from Switzerland and whether they will be able to attain that is to be seen. One thing is clear it is not easy for them to come out with Libra like they initially planned.
As far as i know if libra has already approved by switzerland's regulator in the past and there were some news that have already published this news before, the condition is getting changed so hard for libra as so many the partners that have been going out from the libra's circle.
This brings the libra itself into the grey area and then facebook has announced that the new payment system as a replacement for libra. This project is not totally dead.
means that Facebook will continue the Coin Libra they made? or they have no intention of taking care of it anymore? even though at the beginning of the news that Facebook made its own coin, everyone was excited about the news

Hey everybody Smiley

It was in 2019 when Facebook announced its own digital currency Libra. Some have been waiting anxiously, some not.
A thorough overview of this crypto can be found here: What is Libra?

There are also rumours that Libra will never see the light of the day. What do you think?

I think that the same story will happen to Libra as to TON
the US government will never allow competition for its dollar
Facebook has a much larger audience than Telegram
that is why Facebook's own coin is a great danger to the dollar and the US banking system

Nothing.
Libra is so hot before when FaceBook founder announces their launch but I can't remember how short they rally on the market and then gone. And after that big issue about the Libra coin, I didn't hear anything about that FB founder's next step. He probably quit crypto and have no interest to rebuilt it nor creating another coin.

About Libra, it is still not an exact update yet. The team is probably still making their progress and also development to make many more people and parties interested again in their project. As we know that this project may be failed because so many high investors pull back their support. And the news of Libra is changing, from "wow" to something very usual.
And what we can do right now is waiting for the surprise and also development results by the team. moreover, now is the era of DeFi, Wil be they successful?

I think many partners leave and leave Libra because they think what has been developed is no longer suitable and do not agree that maybe differences of opinion can be a factor in destroying teamwork.

Libra still has many obstacles there, the regulations and government in the USA still don't seem to side with cryptocurrencies,
many projects in the USA are still not developing, or the average project from the USA is taken down by the SEC, this is what LIBRA faces there.
It may take Libra a little more time to launch.
I think that the Libra project can again surface for discussion and for real development after the US presidential elections. At least it is Trump who is the opponent of this project, and given the predictions of Biden's victory, Libra can get a second life.

Noivi seems to be just the name of the wallet - I don't think the coin has been renamed. According to The Verge,

Quote
Facebook is renaming Calibra, the digital wallet it hopes will one day be used to access the Libra digital currencies, Novi.
