Lack of knowledge and lack of trust in bitcoin is stopping majority of people to use it, as they are not aware what is bitcoin and how it works so we cannot expect them to use bitcoins.
I believe the risk involved in investing money in bitcoins and the volatility is also one of the main reasons why people don't trust bitcoin. They are afraid of losing money, which in fact isn't actually going to be a problem. Or at least for now.

Very hard to detect why people don't using bitcoin, it's individual problem for everybody, somebody don't like bitcoin, somebody is too old to start and many other reasons.
I dont think age matters. It is the mind. If they open it and willing to be taught about it then there would be no problem at all. As long as the person knew some basic computer it will be done.

Changes will never happen in a single day. Its take worth time. people are accepting bitcoin more then yesterday. Number of people who are using bitcoin going up everyday. may be it will never happen that all people accept bitcoin but there is no doubt that most people will accept it.
I agree changes is continuous process. For people to accept bitcoin, Bitcoin commuinity must break that wall of doubt in non-Bitcoin user people. And that aint easy. Like what I experience when I tried to introduce Bitcoin to my Boss, He said it's a scam LOL, because for him only tangible stuff is real. Would you change your local currency to a better local currency for a 1% fee if you want to buy something? The other currency is better, but you have to wait a few days, pay an exchange fee and care about the security yourself.
The issue IMHO is that there are not enought ways to earn bitcoin for the majority of people you have in mind.

yeah, it is true and for that reason , i am trying my best to invite my friends to adopt bitcoin and I always suggest them to buy bitcoins with their extra money , i know that will make the price of bitcoin go rise.

For daily payments, well everybody owns 2 handhelds, so can reserve one for serious stuff like playing angry birds, using the other for Bitcoins.

The steep fluctuations is the major factor that keeps most users away from bitcoin usage. Also users don't have good knowledge and learning about bitcoin. When they know clearly, users will understand that those fluctuations were not a matter.
Some people dont want to use bitcoins and i know why because gold is everything for them they inly think why use bitcoins when he has a unstable value and paper will always have the same value.

This is a right point man. hacking attempts are just increasing badly. and bitcoin holders are being hunted. that is one of the big reason why people stopping bitcoin. but there are lots of ways to stay safe. like using mixer services and store your bitcoin to cold or paper wallets can safe you from hackers.
