The best Altcoin IMO (regardless of the price) is Ethereum. Basically it is in another league compared to bitcoin and is the progenitor of all Tokens with its smart contract implementation. It has one of the most active developers out there too and is continuously evolving.
ETH is still the Best alt coin out there. we cannot predict or guarantee that its prices wont fall when BTC's takes a deep but, its more stable with a stronger market presence as compared to other altcoins available. it has a better and promising future too.

In my opinion, it is better to make your own research and trust your guts.The most of the privacy coins are undervalued right now.
The best opportunity is to find a privacy-related project with a low total supply (less than 100M), that way the price will be increasing much faster.

The market is volatile today with many currencies that are continually rising and falling, and many say that in 2018 there will be many changes as well as many coins will end this year, for me there is entirely a lot of I choose NEO because the price is okay and detrimental much risk.

Recently, I notice a trend that when the market is falling, NEO and Ethereum remain fairly stable. NEO even shows growth against the background of a general fall in price and capitalization. This is my personal observation.
I've been asked this same question over and over again and I always reply that bitcoin is still the best altcoin.

Tether is too risky, bad choose for me. Really there are a lot of better coins like eg ethereum. For me it is the most safe coin which you can choose and which will give you sure profit
There are a lot of altcoins that price still increase while Bitcoin price dump to hell but they're not the best. The best altcoin at the moment is ETH and in the near future it's really hard to find out any altcoin can be good like ETH. It's very fast in transaction, almost token on the market created base on ETH blockchain.
I think the best altcoin is the ethereum. Not only because it stably grows in price. Its superiority over the rest is that it is perfectly technological. Bitcoin was good, but it was surpassed by the ethereum.
I'll be honest here, the best alternative coin for me is the Ethereum and Ripple because of its potential. The Ethereum is what ICO prefer the most because the value of it is next to bitcoin. However, Ethereum has never been used for transactions, but it has the potential to increase more of its value. I also like Ripple because it is proven the availability of transactions, however, I never heard from my friends that they experienced Ripple for transactions.
