Waves and Ripple is the best altcoins if the market goes red. yet is not untouchable to also go down. All coins goes down but the one that is still stable after downward trend is the best , that is why I think is waves and ripple.
Why I would consider Tether as one of the best altcoin it's because its price value is prominently stabilizing and I think

You can go for USDT another known as tether it's price is always 1 Usd or a bit more [in cents]. Or if you want less stable currency you can buy other alts, just go for projects which you like. And if you want you can also invest in ICO to get some more profit. Well, the rest of people already gave more examples than me so you can go for it. Thank you for reading and have good time

The best alternative coin for me is the ethereum, because all pf these coin the ethereum i love somich.it gain my trust and many investor and users like it too. Why i say it is the best? Well, the price is stable even the dropping pice is continue it is only at 100-200$ pnly unlike the other that very big loss. Then the transaction fee is low compare to others 
For me the best altcoin to buy are eth doge xvg for now the price of eth is down it is good to buy for now and wait a high price then sell.

I think eth, because eth is very stable price when bicoin price decreases and eth only decreases slightly when bitcoin price drops very basic.
I think ethereum is the best altcoin, but this altcoin is down when the price of bitcoin is down. but altcoin is believed to make a profit, so I believe ETH. there are still many other altcoin, but sometimes there will not make a profit for you.
The only coin that does not down when Bitcoin goes down I think is Tether because it is always equals to 1 dollar though it doesn't gives you profits 
I believe Ethereum would be the best cryptocurrency in 2018. It is already getting a lot of investors attention, because of its stability. There are a lot of projects based on Ethereum platform.
Altcoins comes in different forms and nature and have different intentions. At current time, I'll support the coins that have a cause, especially a productive one which would be able to deliver to the world as well as earning profit for itself and its investors.
I prefer Ethereum because I think more stable .. but like me if Bitcoin down then almost all Alt coin also come down. including what is happening now.
For me, I really loved ethereum, which is the next in line with bitcoin providing a high profit too, with stable characteristic that bitcoin didn't has. I also loved hedge, and lion coin. But then of course different altcoin has their different characteristics that makes them also differ from each one another.

It doesn't really work like that. If a coin doesn't go down much, then it also doesn't go up much. You're talking about something with relatively high stability. At the moment bitcoin can swing the whole market. Presumably individual coin prices will decouple from bitcoin as the market matures, but judging by the market over the last two months, we're a long way from that happening.

There's a lot of coins that are better than Bitcoin like NEO, Monero, Waves, NXT etc. But Ethereum is the most anticipated and well supported by investors and traders.
I think this topic is quite speculative. But in any case, I think that the next king after bitcoin will be ethereum, because they have all the chances for this, of course no one wants bitcoin to die, but anything can happen

Every altcoin are going down when bitcoin down. In that site I prefer Ethereum. It is more stable coin then other altcoin. It is very popular altcoin now. It have own exchenger and it prefer ERC20 coin. It's rate very attractive then other altcoin. So I am strongly say that Ether is the best altcoin in cryptocurrency world at present.

Ethereum is good, bitCNY is the most stable coin in this negative trend even the price is rise. Ecoin is also good, the price is rise more than 200% in this week. Don't buy a coin if you don't have any information about the coin. The quality of the project is more important than the price. Fundamentals is very important thing.I agree. I think Ethereum is arguably one of the best altcoins across the market. There was even a time before the diversity of so many altcoins hit the market we've come to know now has happened, it is the second best coin in the market, second only to Bitcoin. Therefore, since you didn't put a criteria on your question, then I would choose and side with Ethereum. Its value has been quite stable, and the best part about it is the fact that it endured all of the market changes through the years.
