Check Mist - https://github.com/ethereum/mist.
It's a good software wallet and it also allows you to work with smart-contracts.

I think this one is good all I have now are all web wallet like my etherwallet and a multi wallet called Jaxx but I prefer something like this that will allow me to work with smart contracts,I believe this one is new and unexplor.

I actually have two wallet Jaxx and Exodus, jaxx is open source while exodus is not. But both works without any problem for me, I prefer jaxx over exodus because it is supports almost all platform and as it is open source we can be sure that we will not get scammed.

Doesn't Mist require you to download the whole blockchain locally?  It looked a bit complicated when I was looking into it.

I'm using MyEtherWallet right now, but would prefer a desktop client.  For now I open MyEtherWallet on a browser running on a Linux Virtualbox instance.

The desktop client needs to have Ledger Nano S support and also support for ERC20 tokens.  So far, I don't see any.

Mine favourite is Coinbase.
I am using it for bitcoin from long ago and the day it launches Ethereum wallet, it becomes my prime destination to store ether. People may argue it is not safe as user is not actually the owner of coins but good faith always better than security.

Try Exodus.io it has asset support for Ethereum
[along with Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Dash, Golum and Augur]
but its not a dedicated Ethereum only wallet.

It has built-in shapeshift trading also!

Its a desktop wallet which I prefer over web based wallets!

Jaxx is pretty alright:
https://jaxx.io/

Otherwise as someone else mentioned:
https://www.myetherwallet.com/

The official wallet has a bit of issues IMO. If you simply want to use the token and not the smart contract aspect, those listed above and some of the other ones would be best.

ethereum-wallet net? that's the only ethereum wallet I know, but I don't know if it's best ethereum wallet because I don't use it. I'm using MyEtherwallet because I can store here some altcoins.

Yeah, I would agree. I've also done a bit of research and seen a few reviews, and its definitely the one that seems more secure.

I have a good experience using myetherwallet and Jaxx but I like to explore other wallet as well and this thread can give me a lot of options and choices based on users experience so I will come back here from time to time to check the best one.

there are such no best wallets out there its depends of the user who use it whether he like it or not and personally i would prefer myetherwallet and you can also store alot of altcoin on that wallet , dont use exchange address because you have no control on it

For me I use coinbase wallet and myetherwallet. Ethereum wallet in coinbase its easy to use and you can learn fast . And this wallet are very safe because they have 2fa. Few days ago I registered to the myetherwallet and I dont understand how it is works but after few hours of learning, asking ,researching I already know how to use it. If you want more secure choose myetherwallet because the private key only that you need to open your account and no one can try to open that because you only know what is your private key.

Just try the xapo wallets, I think it's the best wallet to ethereum and it's worth it. Because when I use faucets it easy to withdraw my work in xapo. But it's up to you if you used it. I just recommend it only depends to my experience.

in my experience with the wallets and the system requirements they take, i think the best option is a web wallet preferably the exchange itself. this may not be safe but granted the small window of time that i will be holding any ethereum i can take that risk.
