I would go with our good old MEW, it's never disappointed me so far, being one the most popular wallet also comes with cons. MEW is target for phishing targets, so you got to be careful.
For desktop I suggest you use MetaMask
For cellphones I suggest you use imToken 2.0
and if you want to store ETH in large quantities and for a long period of time I advise you to buy wallet hardware such as Ledger or Trezor

For me the best and simple ethereum wallet would be MEW or myetherwallet.com because you juat have to secure your private key with you and also your password no one can open it except if you let your private key and your password to someone.
I've been using metamask for the whole year without no problem on it and its very portable to use it so you better change to metamask.

All this time i keep using MyEtherWallet for all of my ERC 20 coins, and everything is fine.The key would be to always keep our private key on a really safe place and always make sure the link to MyEtherWallet is valid.

Yes, I also agree that the best wallet is still myetherwallet, now it appears with a new design that is definitely more fresher and better than the previous one
I have two favorite's one is Metamask when I'm using my desktop and two is imtoken when im on outdoor using my smartphone

There is not an universal best wallet. It depends on your needs, use cases and level of expertise. An advanced tech geek will be using different wallet than a newbie merchant.

Maybe it is not the best, but i will recommend you using metamask as it is free to use and more secure than myetherwallet.
Using myetherwallet have chance to being exposed because you will need to provide your keystore or private key to use it.

I think that the best wallet should be considered the one that is the most secure, so I give my preference to the hardware wallet, since I have never had any problems with it.

Yes now in the market 2 wallets are well established this is mew and ledger, I think it's both wallets are well protected and great for use

I use MEW and think that this is the most reliable wallet for the Ethereum and ERC20 tokens where you have private keys and can keep them.
Why except mew, I think that it's the best ether wallet for ERC-20 tokens. Also I can recommend you to use parity but it's not as safe as Myetherwallet. So make a right choise.
Apart from myetherwallet, you can download the imToken wallet. It's very good and can give you what you want in storing your assets. Be sure to go along with the security measures well.
