Yes,at the moment Bank's are kind of against the crypto exchanges if you tell them it was a crypto exchange. If you're acquired your bitcoins legally by offering services, you're banks can't question you, even if they do,you have legit proofs (which you must have). When you balance for the entire time span is $100 and one fine day it becomes $10,000 Banks will definitely interfere to ask you sources of the income. Its not the bitcoins but the legitimacy of your earnings.

600.. but that was when bitcoin was only a few dollar each

im not bothered i still have more than i sold.

if you move over $10k in on lump or consecutive lumps in a short period of sameday-same week. expect banks to question it.
if you use localbitcoins/OTC expect some people to make a complaint to their bank and thus your bank in attempt to do the bank reversal (aka chargeback scamming)

your best bet is to pre-inform your bank that you are receiving funds and that it is coming from a legitimate company. that way they have less questions to ask or presume its dodgy instantly.

You are so lucky and rich. I hope I was one of early adpfors.

Shit, did I leave the stove on?
I sold around 2-3 coin just before Christmas last year to take advantage of the winter sales. I exchanged them for gift cards with a great discount and something smaller went into my PayPal account. I am not a big believer into long-term hoarding because life is short and it's better to live and enjoy life right at this moment and not make big plans for the future which may not pan out.

I did not sol any amount of bitcoin to anyone, as I am collecting bitcoin, and are saving them in my wallet, the price increase is a benefit but intension is not the holding for the price increase. and also I spend them when I need and convert to fiat whenever I need

and successfully converted it to USD?

I'm afraid to convert too many at one time since I was reading some reddit post about how their bank closed their account after they received so much money. I think guy sold around 50 BTC at one time, which isn't even that much.

I once sold at 250 USD and that was the maximum amount that i sold at once, and unfortunately it was around 1 BTC at that time and it was a mistake selling at that price.

Word of warning to any newbies trying to sell bitcoins. Don't use paypal because of the ability of scammers to do a chargeback. Nightmare scenario - sell your bitcoins, get the money & then lose the money.

I have converted 100$ to local cash at max. With the help or neteller and skrill as we don't have any local bitcoin exchanger available. I usually don't do this type of transaction rather than i do face to face deal for bitcoin. But 100$ is max with involving neteller, skrill and my local bank.

I avoid selling more than fracture of bitcoin at once. I am patient and I don't need big amount of money. I am afraid that bank my question my money transfers coming from a bitcoin exchange.
It better to sell your bitcoin methodically little by little than cry later and explain to  banksters where you got your money from.

I sold 20 when the price was above $800 and I have since invested most of that back into buying more Bitcoins... So I have nearly doubled, whatever I sold back then. You just need to spread

that selling of the coins over a longer period to draw less attention to yourself. Even doing it legally still draw attention to yourself from the fiat systems... Each country has it's own limits were you

are flagged for attention.

I think I have converted around 10 Bitcoins in total and I usually do SEPA transfers so I get the money deposited into my bank account pretty fast. I have converted also Bitcoin to PayPal but to a smaller extent. I haven't had any red flags raised by my bank but I try to withdraw small portions and not just one big lump sum at once. It's better to stay under the radar then to be sorry later on.
