Also if we had started with clean power, like 100 years ago when it was invented, we all would be fossil free by the mid 50's, but hey, capitalism, we all know how that went, 600 billion per year on war, while 300 million a year is enough to end world hunger...

So you imply that capitalism can't end world hunger and create clean energy?

It could, but the oligarchy doesnt want that, that is why the current system it's called fascism not capitalism.

Bitcoin is 100% pure capitalism at it's best.

Apart from I also feel merchants where I live don't accept Bitcoin for payments, the general tendency of the society is to make cash payments and also to stay away from credit cards.

i have many problem with bitcoin, one of them ussualy about bitcoin exist, because bitcoin have no physic,i cant clearly explain to newbie.and about transaction confirmation,i also often have many problem,so many exchange have a long confirmation. but my major poblem is about bitcoin it self,i still difficult to getting free bitcoin, just because i wont to buy bitcoin with physical money.. Grin Grin

if you understand bitcoin well enough, you then will be able to explain bitcoin to newbies without problems. just make sure you use easy language in the beginning. regarding getting free bitcoins; it's not bitcoin's fault that you have a hard time to collect a few bits. when it comes to confirmations, i fully agree. i would prefer them to be faster.

I honestly feel the transaction times are bit of an issue with Bitcoin, I always love something instant, something like net banking where the payment is made instantly and payee receives this on time. I'm sure there are plenty of online services that help achieve this where merchants can instantly receive bitcoins and have them converted to their local currency.

Apart from I also feel merchants where I live don't accept Bitcoin for payments, the general tendency of the society is to make cash payments and also to stay away from credit cards.

There isn't a default fee but most services pay 0.0001BTC/KB. A higher transaction could help if the network is spamming 1mb of 0.00010001/kb fee transactions. Your transaction wouldn't get transaction before them. Anyway, if the network does not discover block as fast, everyone would end up waiting no matter how much they pay.

Yes. The blockchain size increase is very urgent now. If it is not increased any time soon, we will wait for long time however high fee we pay.

Even if you have a 1 BTC tx fee, you would still wait an average of 10 minutes for a confirmation... The "normal" 0.0001 tx fee is just enough.

And sometimes this can go up to 30 minutes or even 60 minutes. So we can't use Bitcoins directly for retail shopping, and have to depend upon third party processors such as Bitpay and Coinbase. The issue is that most of these payment processors block certain segments, such as legal recreational marijuana, legal firearms and porn.

For me, confirmation times is the problem,
they say bitcoin is fast, but why need long time to wait 1 confimation  Shocked
I think it's because there's a ton of another transactions going on in this entire Blockchain, that's why you need to wait a little longer for the confirmation.
Or you can just spend more for the transaction fee, so that the miner would confirm your transaction first. Grin

pretty much exchange it into my currency. I never tried it, though, since im still relatively new and still collecting btc.. But the only local exchanger I know needs a photo verification to complete my account, and I don't really like the idea of posting my photos
You live in Indonesian right?
for your information, you can convert your bitcoin to the fiat easiest without verification by sell them to the personal exchanger they called "jasa tukar bitcoin" or something, you can find them, the trusted member on facebook group or you can use avanpay or  pulsabtc so far they are legit, just google it or the simple way is make your own thread on our local subforum

Hey thanks!
It'll be one of the option I will think of besides exchanging it  via voucher like how people of my country suggest.

are you sure? via voucher? if iam not wrong you should upload your identity on vip before generate a voucher right? i prefer to suggest you to sell your bitcoin from your wallet on blockchain directly , i always did it, just less than IDR10k as fee which is smaller than vip's fee

Not really sure actually, as I never tried to change them into IDR before..
How do I exactly sell directly on blockchain?
It was possible to BUY Bitcoins on Blockchain.info (service) using mobile phone. This was limited to a few countries and I didn't manage to test it out. It wasn't possible to sell Bitcoins there IIRC. There is a box which shows you the option to buy and sell Bitcoins on the right of the wallet dashboard (after you login).

My biggest trouble - I have lost approximately 0.2 BTC in change addresses. I was maked a backup as soon as run the core, then after some transactions I restored backup and found that the change addresses do not belong to my wallet =//
This is more of a problem that can be solved by BIP32 implementation in Core wallet. Most other SPV clients has already implemented their own hierarchical deterministic wallets and could easily solve that problem by just remembering the seed.

For now, just make a backup every 100 transactions or less.
Instead of this I copy and paiste my own bitcoin address in change field every time I open the Core.

biggest problem is convert to my currency, I'm pretty hard to change, because there is no exchanger that converts into my currency
You can always get bitcoin debit card then withdraw the fund from your local atm Wink
It should fix your problem with bitcoin or find local exchanger from localbitcoins

My problem with bitcoin is its confirmation time. I dont like waiting for a bit long  just to fully receive my bitcoins.

Would be great if I can receive and send bitcoins instanly without any confirmation Grin
Try to put a bigger fee on your transcations, they would get confirmed faster Wink
even you put bigger tx fee in your transaction, it wouldn't have any different compared to average fees ( 0.0001-0.0002) , this is just in my opinion, but i have been using bitcoin for around 2 years and that was i feel

In my opinion, the default fees (~BTC0.0001) work fine these days. You generally get a confirmation with every block if you put in the default fee, so I don't see how it confirms faster if you put in a bigger fee. It's the network, not you.
