Just wondering if ya'll have a typical formula you go by or a certain X percentage profit or loss.

I've been playing around with coins for just under a month now. $23750 total investment and currently up just under 10k in profit. One of the coins (IOTA) has gone up about 288%.  Obviously it would suck if it crashed but it would equally suck to sell if it continues to grow.

Just wondering what a lot of you folks do. I'm considering investing another 25 or 50k into coins. Ideally I'd like to net 15k a month off them but I know that may not be realistic on a monthly basis.
Buy low, sell high. Follow this not just in crypto trading but in stock trading as well. Buy at $1 sell at $10000 for example. I have PRG on my portfolio and it's higher than what i bought it at, i know i'm going in the right direction.

It's not time to sell altcoins for this time until the market not already recovers some altcoins until now getting nasty and drop for their price. Maybe next year this coins will recover and will give us a good outcome.

I usually sell when the price has started up, and wait for the price of the coin to drop its buy back at a cheap price. the results are pretty good than we wait continuously.

It actually depends on an alt-coin that I am holding,
If it is my bounty reward then I would sell it if I need money or if it already reach the amount that I like.
But if it is an alt-coin that I invested then if already hits the price that I set to gain a profit or the price where I would cut loss.

Currently, I am holding my Altcoin. Maybe I will sell them when their prices increase enough to make me a little profit. I will not be too ambitious because they will probably get a stronger discount at any time.

the trend of the cryptocurrency market can not be said to have perfect or certain times in which a trade or sales is supposed to be made but however, they holder or investor is in the best position to decide that as it is solely his or her responsibility to bear whatever comes out of his or her transaction.

it is just better to set a target price for our altcoins if the coins is in our risk we can afford we can hold coins , if we think coin as good future

It is very easy to know when i'm sell my altcoin . if i'm buy $2 par coin and when it is reach $3 i'm sell on that time.

What about after you sell the orice go to 5
I think reading the chart and the volume profile is good way to take a move to sell or buy

Ofcourse when your portfolio has increased so much. Now, I need to sell my altcoins for my financial needs in life but the market still moves downward and I regretting to sell, if I sell I will miss the chance of it to recover back again

I had set some price targets for my altcoin holdings, but in most of the cases I could not put forward my plans to action. Sometimes I had to sell the coins before they reached the target. And in a few cases I held on to them even after the target was achieved.

I can't tell that I would make on your place. Probably would sell, but only a part of coins. I would leave other part and held for a long time.
Yes, the same with me. When I buy a coin, I set a target for it and only sell if the price hit my target. If it happens, I will sell 50% and set another target to sell another 25% and the rest I will hold for a long time.

if the investment is short-term, then when it rises only a few percent, for example 0.5%, I will sell it immediately. but for the long term, I will hodl again to at least wait for an increase of 5-10%. usually for short-term investments, I only invest in small numbers and for long-term investments for large numbers.

I think that very often people are just in a hurry and very often people just try to just have time to sell everything in order to finally earn some cryptocurrency that would make it possible to buy something in the real world.

when you have earned 5X or more of your total investment then sell 50% . then wait and see what happens. if it goes up or go down again sell 25% after few days. also check the marketcap of the coin. if it reached the top of its marketcap then you can understand that it wont do another 2X easily. that time you can sell at top.

Well, you need to look after the market for their assets, and let's say it grew a couple of times from the price you bought, and you are now satisfied with the profit, so take and sell, and everything will be fine! You decide what kind of profit you want to get, and based on this already and act

Well if I am free i will keep on placing higher order cancelling previous order until it reaches a desired level and a good over sold bought RSI territory and then start shorting. But generally this happens very rare and I generally go for swing trading and book almost 4-5% profit that is good enough for me.In maximum cases whether its a buy order or sell order I fix a a particular time in a day to watch the market and do some trades. But things like bat,etn spiking those were some good times recently sometimes I feel a little depressed for not making much profit because I was busy in my day-work.But still profit is profit.

I sell my coins if my profit gets x2 and above. I always watched the growth of my coin if it will dump or pump that's why when hard pump comes i am always in the market always focus on the chart. Times 2 and above and i will sell my coin. Smiley

I focus on the overall market growth of 200% -300%. and only then I decide to submit a coin or not.

I always set a sell target for myself whenever I acquire a new token and I do not sell unless that target is reached, that helps me resist making rash decisions that I would regret later, sometimes it works as planned, other times it doesn't.
