will make you confused if you do a lot of calculations, better and easier is if you already feel a profit then you can sell it. doing things like that will be easier, but if you want to get a lot of profit then hold just waiting for the price shot high, and you can sell it.

I will sell my altcoin when the market price recovers and can be profitable, because, then when altcoin prices decline we better wait and hold altcoin prices and as altcoin prices go up we can sell altcoin and benefit.

I am trying to have a stop loss mentality, so I would sell when the price would cross the line of how many I am ready to lose. And then I automatically would just sell those. And if the price will return and recover I would buy them again.

it's easy to know the right time to sell altcoin, when you buy altcoin lower than the current price, then you can sell it now. It's that easy, do not think too tacky

I place sell orders for profit. 50% on x2.1, that would bring back my investment. 10% on x3, 10% on x5, 10% on x10, 10% on x20 and 10% on x50. I use exchanges that don't charge anything on placing and cancelling order. This way, I'll profit even during a sleep when the coin pumps.

This one is also a good strategy mate!
I will try to use this strategy and use some of my unused coins. Although I have regular active trades this one is perfect for trades that is not like a day trading.

I think whave to read more about information before sell the altcoins. In addition, Iam looking foor the good time to sell altcoin. Because, the time influence about the coins before we sell. So my opinion, we have to wait and read more information about coins before we would like to sell it.

When they have hit a good price, preferable I sell at when my coins hit a 500 percent profit margin which is when I usually sell my altcoins and then I just sit back and then start waiting for the price to fall back down again so I can buy into the altcoins even more than I did before and make more money

The best thing to do is when you really have a goal on your coins, do you want to buy a bag? How much is that worth? When your coin reaches that kind of value, you can always sell your coins, because you really wanted that thing for example. That is it! That is my own opinion! Smiley

Just look at the progress, if it keep rising faster, I think that it has chance to rise again and again. Just sell when you think that the current price already high or enough for you. Don't be greedy, but we must also have greed and do not get too complacent.

We all have different strategies. The best strategy for me is to invest cheap and cash out the x2 of the return of investment. I always sell altcoin when the price is high enough.

Store it in a long time because it will give you happiness in the future. At this time when you get the coin and value very low or not have a selling price. You save because I think that in the future all coins will have a price and the price will certainly be higher.

Of course when the price is at the top, sell them when the price reaches the top and you are gaining a lot of return. It all depends on your target for taking profit.

I know that it is time to sell my altcoins when the prices of the altcoins hit the price targets that I have set for them. When I buy altcoins, I make sure that I make up my mind on what price the coins have to be at for me to sell them. It makes it easier to sell the coins and makes it harder to give into greed

Just wondering if ya'll have a typical formula you go by or a certain X percentage profit or loss.

I've been playing around with coins for just under a month now. $23750 total investment and currently up just under 10k in profit. One of the coins (IOTA) has gone up about 288%.  Obviously it would suck if it crashed but it would equally suck to sell if it continues to grow.

Just wondering what a lot of you folks do. I'm considering investing another 25 or 50k into coins. Ideally I'd like to net 15k a month off them but I know that may not be realistic on a monthly basis.

I am not waiting for a moment to sell my altcoins. I think that it is necessary to hold coins as long as possible. On my mind this is the best option when the market is unstable and you are not confident in your actions.

You can not know exactly how long the coin will grow.  So do not be greedy - sell part of the coins when it makes a good profit.  But do not sell all the coins, but only a part.  So you will, in any case, be with profit.

I disagree that it would equally suck, because in one case you make 288% of profit, and if it crashes you not simply make small profit, you also lose whatever you had invested in it. So please, don`t be so greedy and not get mislead.

I sell off when the value rises. At the beginning of a spike , I can pull out regardless of possible future rise.
If it's a stable coin with organic growth, u just sell of at a predetermined profit limit. I can sell off and buy back at a lower price(if possible).
In case of value drop, I just hold off for as long as necessary, if the coin is dead to my judgement, I cut my losses.
