Yeah for the addictions they won't know when they have to stop playing, that they know they will continue to play whatever their
economic circumstances even if they don't have money they will still look for other ways so they can play again and not stop..
They never knew when to stop playing right from the onset which was what led most people to the addiction in the first place. Before some gamblers hit casino or gambling platforms, they tend to have this focus on being there to win some good money and how far their luck can take them. When reality kicks in, they tend to drift and then start fueling some thought about if they could just keep going on, maybe they will hit it right until they eventually lose everything. That is where the whole addiction thing certainly starts from.

Gamblers tend to continue if they are on those situations. Losing streak won't stop a gambler to keep on gambling because of the positive mindset that he might recover all the losses he'd made for the entire time.
That positive mindset you mentioned is actually one of the reasons why so many gamblers tend to fumble a lot when it comes to gambling. The positive mindset makes them to focus so much on things they should not be focusing on which is to be winning the game. The best is not to have any other mindset apart from the fact that, unless you are lucky, there is nothing for you and unless you do not want to become an addict, you should not be putting too much of your energy on winning at all cost.

Usually when either I am really bored or I have no money left, I of course don't put all of my money into it, I just put a limit for myself and deposit that amount (usually 50 dollars) and I gamble accordingly, sometimes even though rarely I stop because I have to sleep but that doesn't happen that frequently because I do not gamble at night when I have to sleep, it takes away the whole purpose of gambling, I gamble for fun not to make money and if I am sleep I won't be capable of focusing on the fun part of gambling and just click buttons with half dead brain.
I might as well use the "auto bet" option after that. So most of the time its either I got bored or I spent my daily limit.

Putting that limit is always the way to go if anyone still wants to gamble anyway after knowing they are bound to lose. As long as you are self-principled and cautious of your reaction towards gambling, you will always end up in that section where you end up losing yourself totally to it.
Gambling brings up a lot of emotional imbalance inside of us and it is only left for us to control those emotions and put them in check. Those emotions are what would keep telling you to try it just one more time and you might end up lucky until you keep doing it and end up screwing up all your funds.
Thankfully I do not have this problem anymore.
I used to have trouble stopping and lost about 2.2 bitcoin (when bitcoin was around 100-150 dollars) because I couldn't stop and chase the loss. But, that gave me a lesson, I felt horrible for a long time and did not gambled but I felt like gambling was a monster I created that I could only beat myself and I told myself that I can gamble and stop whenever I want and have fun without worrying about if I win or not.

I opened bitsler, put 50 bucks in there and gamble it while having fun without worrying about making money and stopped when I wanted. I did this so I can know for sure that I had a hand on the wheel.

As soon as you can’t risk to lose the money you are betting with.
Whilst recreational activities (hobbies and whatnot) are important, there are other things that take a clear precedence. The number one rule in gambling is don’t gamble more than you’re willing to lose. Remember the bills/payments you have lined up, the dependents you have and the consequences of losing the bet you’re about to place.
Be aware. Don’t let it dictate your life and always stay in control.
but some of them can't control themselves no matter what their financial status is. making yourself busy is a good way to not get distracted by your gambling habits. people tend to ignore their current situation just to feed their gambling habits they will most likely ignore their bills because they can just pay for it if they win and guess what happen they will most likely lose. agreed people should seek help if they cant control themselves.

When you know that you are in a losing streak already. When you know that you are in the verge of losing all of your money then this is the time to stop.

Unfortunately, this don't happens to gamblers especially when they got addicted in it. They will gamble all of their money until none will left. They don't know how to control themselves. They don't know when to stop.

For me its time to stop when I feel tired doing it and it doesn't change anything.

Repeating the same scenario is not a good idea so when I experience that I already meet my limit,  its time for me
 to stop.

Wasting my money for gambling is really not good,  because its just a matter of luck so as soon as I already had enough its time to stop for me.

Placing limitations every time we gamble, frankly, isn't an easy thing to do. High level of discipline is needed so that we always obey the rules we have made ourselves. Most people fail in this phase because the desire to chase the lose will usually dominate and people tend to break their own rules.

I told this one time to a gambler but it just made his addiction worst. He did control his gambling times, he also made some limitations from the money he is bringing in that certain gambling place to how much is he betting.

In the end, it is like a coke when you put some mentos and put the cap on, later it will be exploding with bubbles. There is this time that he sold his phone to another gambler just to use the money to gamble again. Hoping to win and get back the phone, he gambled and gambled, he told me he can get back the phone but he did not do it instead he continued on gambling and end up regretting it.

Knowing to stop is one thing that gamblers hard to admit. We keep on thinking of the possible good things and results that will come and we will feel sorry of stopping because we regret that those good things won't come if we stop.

If you have a high tendency to not stop until busting, then I came across these tips which do help:

  • Don't put all your available bankroll directly in the game (in case you're using deposits). Leave always at least half outside as a security measure if you go bust.
  • One must stop after reaching a certain goal, The goal should be predetermined and shouldn't be changed during the play.
  • If you're doing really good, withdraw part of your earnings (if you can, ofc) to avoid losing it all in one go.

Having a big bankroll can make you feel falsely safe in that "oh I'll just keep increasing my bet until I win" but alas, the 30 reds in a row do exist, and will come. Do not let them take it all.

The goal you make should be realistic and firm, Don't change it or else be prepared to face bad consequences.

You gotta fight back the voice that screams inside your brain "Come on, double again and we recover!".

I will noticed when its time to stop when l have no already capital before everything of me will gone forever to become my life be worst.I will make sure that l will not put my family in shame unless you really need to win to regain your losses, Good luck doing so.

I don't think that you need to wait for your money or capital to deplete since you need to be responsible to your every gambling activities. Instead of always going away to casinos or clicking out the gambling site, better limit your gambling bets and always keep your eye on your balance. I know that it is hard to not be carried away by your feelings but you need to chill.

When you know that you are losing on straight and long streaks, better call it a day or you will be regretting it. This is not for every one since I know some might say that that is hard but forcing yourself doing that will work.

I always start with a certain set amount and play until either thats gone or play until I am bored. For example if I start the game with 50$ to gamble and I end up finishing all of that before I got bored than I stop nevertheless, not try to recoup that at all. Usually I play like something smaller than 10 cents or so each bet so whenever I lose my money I only lose a small fraction of it and it takes a lot of time to lose all of it at which time I get bored anyway.

I don't know why people have hard time stopping. I think its not stopping thats the problem, if you run out of money you will stop no matter what.
The harder part is not starting, if you feel like you are not cut for gambling and you are gonna have hard time stopping than you should not even start. That not starting for wrong people is the true issue, they don't know what type of people they are and they gamble and fail to stop at the correct time. Learn to not start whenever you want before learning how to stop.

Thats right dude, people usually just start without knowing how to stop the game. there may be some players who allocate special funds so that it can stop them playing if the funds run out, but if you play emotionally you might use your main wallet to gamble again, so you should know how to stop using your own abilities dude!

Curiosity kills the cat that is what they say. The only thing that a person could do wrong is to start gambling because of others people influence, because he heard in the news that a certain person have won a big amount of fiat in gambling so he decided to give it a shot, believing he could also win something big like that. Being positive about things in life is not bad, but we have to make exceptions, and gambling is one of the things we shouldn't even try.

Gambling is so gamble, meaning you are risking something to get something, and that is money, you are risking money to get more money. The chances of winning in gambling depends on what game you are playing, for example you are playing lottery which the chances of winning is 1 out of 175 million.

That first point you raised is actually the reason why a lot of people ended up finding them gambling and just wish if only they could just have the same luck as that caliber of person you mentioned, while forgetting that among 100, there can only be 1 winner, with the rest 99 wallowing in self-pity.

As long as they understand they are risking something and can control their emotions and that urge, I believe even when they start hearing some voices to just try it one last time, they will discard it.

I know its been repeated constantly but don't gamble what your not willing to lose.  Keep a portion of your funds for your gambling budget and use the rest for your necessities.  Some people like to spend their extra money on alcohol, concerts, clothes, but I prefer to use my extra money on gambling since I have a fun time doing it.  I allow myself a gambling budget and I don't go over that limit so I don't have trouble with not stopping.

I also had that kind of 'method' to at least not put myself in a difficult situations. I already gain experienced as a gambler so I always put forth everything on a budget. Of course gambling budget in not on top of my priority list, but if everything sums up and there's some extra money to burn then I allot a small portion for my weekly gambling habits. Range from .015BTC-.035BTC. So if I won then more gambling in the coming days but it I got burned, then wait for a week or two and see how the budget goes.

In our country, when you are gambling, you are already putting your family and loved ones in shame. It is not that gambling is bad but the effects of it and the people saying about that certain people will really ruin them. A lotof people in our place is crawling with a lot of gossip makers that is not really true, whether you gamble or not and they find something interesting or will be something that may degrade you, they will be attacking you.

A gambler should stop when he/she has gambled as much as he/she can afford to lose.

Well, kind of. You don't know when to stop. That's why you should have an amount in mind before you start playing.
There is no way you can rule out emotions for those who simply are gambling because they want to make shit loads of money. Once the reality of gambling kicks in, they i9mmediately start making bad decisions, end up exposing themselves to higher risk until they lose everything simply because they hoped they could end up winning hugely if they just could just continue.
You know when to stop if you are in control and know you really do not have anything much to gain from it anyway and you are ok with losing the little you want to gamble with.
