I know when its time to stop if i am already losing many times and i have earned enough of money, but sometimes i could not follow it because i can't control myself in betting if i am feeling lucky or winning several times. Better control yourself when playing because you might lose a lot of money.
It's all about what you can do for yourself. It's not just the habit that you gamble all the time, it's all the things that could potentially hurt yourself and not improve. It's going to be sad because of what you are doing to yourself mentally, physically, and spiritually. It's better to control yourself, just like you said.

If you have a high tendency to not stop until busting, then I came across these tips which do help:

  • Don't put all your available bankroll directly in the game (in case you're using deposits). Leave always at least half outside as a security measure if you go bust.
  • One must stop after reaching a certain goal, The goal should be predetermined and shouldn't be changed during the play.
  • If you're doing really good, withdraw part of your earnings (if you can, ofc) to avoid losing it all in one go.

Having a big bankroll can make you feel falsely safe in that "oh I'll just keep increasing my bet until I win" but alas, the 30 reds in a row do exist, and will come. Do not let them take it all.

The goal you make should be realistic and firm, Don't change it or else be prepared to face bad consequences.

You gotta fight back the voice that screams inside your brain "Come on, double again and we recover!".
Based on my experienced, i know when its time for me to stop if i have already win or lose several times because its a sign that its already my limit. It is good to teach yourself to know how to stop when playing because you will get addicted and lose a lot of money.
I guess you are not a gambler at all.. Gambling addicts tend to stop when they don’t have money in their pocket anymore, they have the tendency of wanting to play more because they want to chase their loss thats why there are plenty of them who are broke.

it is easy to say but it is actually hard to do. youll never know when to stop until you loose all your available balance , that is a fact and most of us are doing everytime whenever they do gambling but in my case i do stop wherever i won on a single bet and i wont continue anymore because if i do , id still gonna loose it all due to the fact that i only play dice game and hi lo games which is indeed pretty risky and wont require a skill rather than pure luck.

I will agree with you mate. It is too easy to say but really hard to do mostly when we are in the stage of losing. Our adrenaline pump and all we think about is to win back what we’ve lose and ended up losing it all. And that is the big reasons why many gamblers became addicted to gamble. Been there and done that but i never played dice games. I usually played poker or other table games.

That is a tough question to a gambling addict because I think they really don't know when will be the time to stop. As far as I know, they would probably stop when there is nothing left with their assets literally.

It is a sad fact to know that many gamblers can't control themselves because they will continue to play to satisfy themselves. There is a saying here which says that victory in gambling is temporary and loss is the beginning of destruction. For those who gamble without a mature plan, it's good for them to ponder for a moment!

I've never been to the point where I've felt "enough is enough" and I've considered giving up my rather expensive hobby.

I do know a few people (one in particular) that chooses to lie to his family in order to get out to the casino to play poker.

If there ever comes a time where a gambler finds himself having to lie in order to gamble, there may be a sign there that it's time to stop.

Also, if someone is having a tough time paying their bills or supporting their family, eliminating gambling from their life would be a vital option.

A gambler should stop when he/she has gambled as much as he/she can afford to lose.

I really like your point number two. You have to stop when you get to a specific goal or target. One thing many of us forget is that Gambling should move along with target setting. You get there, you stop so that you don't get overindulgence
No this is wrong we can never can achieve our desired goal in gambling so we have to keep limits with our betting and stop when we exhausted the money or time. And accept our losses in gambling that is how the system was designed and we can't expect the win to happen always.
Really wrong. Accepting losses before even experiencing the loss is the mindset that makes most gamblers not to see gambling as something they are going to get anything tangible from. A lot of people though, have turned gambling into something they can earn from or make some huge profit and that makes them push harder even while losing a lot and consoling themselves that as long as they keep trying, they will do better. That is where the main problem of stopping actually starts from.

Do not forget the part that most people desired goal in gambling is winning and even when they keep losing, they just keep focusing on their desired goal until they end up losing everything. In the last part, overindulgence as for sure affected a lot of people and that overindulgence actually comes with trying to win at all cost. The best way to have a fix mind of stopping is to go with what you can afford to lose, see it as something you are paying to catch some fun and once you are out, that is it, if you win big, take your thing and go away.

Knowing when it is time to stop gambling is very easy!!! If you cannot afford it you should not be doing it. Gambling is like investing, never bet more than you are willing to loose and you should be ok!!!!
This is the main thing that the gambler needs to know. When he will come to know this thing, I can bet he would no longer had to face the consequences of gambling and all his tensions related to gambling would end. But when I see the gamblers, I don’t see even the one who seems to be aware of this time, instead there are some who seem to have crossed the limits.
I think everyone know when to stop gambling and also that either they can afford to gamble more or not. Everyone knows in gambling that when to stop but the difference is that some people can control themselves while some can’t. If a person know how to control himself according to the situation in gambling then he can be a good gambler or otherwise not.

I stop when I notice that on the day I played I almost lose my budget for gambling meaning I lose more than I win. Even though I still have a chance of winning because I still have a budget, I will still stop coz I am thinking that losing on the game on that day is already the sign for me that I am not lucky enough to win amd maybe I lose all my money
Anyone who is smart enough to at least eventually realize that should immediately know that decision on its own is a jackpot for them. People attach so much emotion to gambling and they make it seem like this is where their situation is going to be turning around for good without realizing gambling is just a game of luck and there is no guarantee of winning and there is actually even more guarantee of losing.

You will know when to stop when you already have the mindset that it is just a game and there is nothing much to get from it while playing with just the little you can afford to lose until you exhaust it.

Gambling is an addiction. When I won some I stop playing for a while. Then again start playing in a hope to win more. But after all I lost it all.  And when I lose I deposit more to cover up my loses by gambling more. Sometimes I win and other time I lose
The addiction is actually something that plays out based on the mindset and the inability to control one and those impulses that comes with gambling. If you are winning, you just want to win more until you lose everything, back to square one and even lose much more, and while you are losing as well, you just want to keep trying believing that as long as you do that, you can win them all back only to realize you are almost betting your pant.

It is important to always stay in control and know out rightly that gambling is just a game of luck with more chances of losing and you do not want to lose so much which makes it important to control yourself when you are out and appreciate even if you win so little let alone much so as to know it is time to walk away.

maybe we can stop when everything is not run like what we want and in the gambling, once we are losing the money and it continues until in the 3 times, then I think it is the sign to us to stop the games and leave the places. because if you still continue the games, you have a big chance to lose more money in just second and I think you don't want to get this experience, right? so you need to leave the gambling places as soon as possible so you can avoid a few things that will make you become an addicting person in gambling.

It is easy to say but hard to execute. I could easily say that I want to stop once I won enough profits in my middle of my gambling game but my subconscious always say : "Just one more try" or " Maybe I could have win much more and bigger this time". So my solution is just to stop gambling for good because I just end up losing no matter what happens.
It is not hard to execute as long as you can control yourself and all the gambling impulse. It will only be hard if you cannot control yourself and if you actually came in with the wrong mindset into gambling. As long as you have exhausted your limit and as long as you have won enough out of luck to call it a day and go enjoy your winning, then those are the times you should always look forward to stopping and from my point of view, that is not a hard thing to execute unless you are looking for the wrong thing in gambling.

In my opinion the best time to stop gambling is the moment you are about to go bust. Don't force your luck, if its not your day, just go home and try again tomorrow. I am not saying not to keep trying but you will know it if its not your time. Go do something else that can make you earn money than losing on gambling. Make more money so you can gamble more if you're that addicted to it. Luck rarely comes so it won't hurt if you just stop once in a while.
The best time to stop gambling is whenever this idea appears in mind. Nobody can really tell whether he is about to lose or win the game until the game is over. After outcomes, it really does not matter whether he continues to not because if the money has been lost, it won’t come back by this step. Therefore, it is best to not play but if someone's still ends up, he should leave this as soon as such question takes birth in his mind.
Some games however will never be over as long as you have a lot of cash at hand to lose. This is the case a lot of gamblers always end up experiencing because they think they are going to be winning a whole lot from gambling so as to get rid of the low income or poverty ridden life, and not knowing that their mentality is actually going to end up screwing them up big time at the end of it all.

Just have a set out fund you can afford to lose in gambling and as long as you are out completely, see it as a giveaway to a casino and move on. Anyone who cannot see gambling like that should not even be starting at all.

From my experience, most of time we are going to loose through gambling because every gambling is addictive and could able to digest his feeling when he lost money through gambling and this makes him to invest him in order to cover his looses. I think he cannot stop playing gambling and he never quits gambling with the addictions he has towards gambling.

I think the best time to stop betting is literally right now. Let me explain. Let's say that you have lost money from gambling and you are trying to win in back by gambling again (which is weird since that's how you lost the money in the first place). Betting again gives the possibility that you lose money again and let's face it, it's more likely that you lose than you winning.

Stopping betting is just one step towards ending your gambling habits. Maybe today you're not going to bet at all because you have read a post like mine that made you say "Oh yeah that's right. I should totally stop betting." On the other hand, we're humans and we're good liars especially to ourselves. The next day, the next week, once you have forgotten about the post or the motivation to stop betting caused by it simply depleted, you're going to start betting again. I suggest that you start reading articles on replacing a bad habit with a good one instead of focusing on finding out when to stop. Stop now.
