If you have a high tendency to not stop until busting, then I came across these tips which do help:

  • Don't put all your available bankroll directly in the game (in case you're using deposits). Leave always at least half outside as a security measure if you go bust.
  • One must stop after reaching a certain goal, The goal should be predetermined and shouldn't be changed during the play.
  • If you're doing really good, withdraw part of your earnings (if you can, ofc) to avoid losing it all in one go.

Having a big bankroll can make you feel falsely safe in that "oh I'll just keep increasing my bet until I win" but alas, the 30 reds in a row do exist, and will come. Do not let them take it all.

The goal you make should be realistic and firm, Don't change it or else be prepared to face bad consequences.

You gotta fight back the voice that screams inside your brain "Come on, double again and we recover!".

In gambling if you win you have to set aside for your profit so that your capital will  not lost. When you feel that your luck is going on you have to bet your best. And and when you feel your luck is not continues you better stop with winnings than nothing at all because you're a loser.

sometimes our feel is not right and won't help us to win because I have this experience in my past. in that time, I can win, not much money and my feeling keep say that I have another luck in the next round so I follow my feeling and yes I win again. my feeling keeps saying to me that I have more luck to win in the next round and I follow again but suddenly I get a loss and my money is gone. fortunately, it is only small money but from that, I learn that my feeling doesn't know if I still have luck or not.

You do know it is time to stop when you, for example, lose your first game. Having high hopes concerning the next game might be very dangerous even for your mental health because if you lose again, you will be mentally destroyed.

That is why, you should stop and take your full time to think about it over and over until you come up with a wise decision or else you would be stuck in a circle with no way out.

Having a safe limit of what you are going to out in a certain game on a particular day is a good idea to check your addictive nature towards gambling. This will prevent you from going on putting more money constantly and will allow you with limited chance to play.
Also if you face excessive loss then trying to gain back what you just lost is the worst idea of all. This may make you lose more of your money. Rather its time to either leave the game alltogether or to shift to some other game.
Dont keep testinh luck. After a while even when u have made money or lost, taking a break is adviced.

Basically setting a limit is the proper strategy. Its somehow a basic rule not only in gambling but for financial matters as well. Setting a limit of your expenses to keep your finances going. Its time to stop when you have reached your limit. Its sometimes a struggle to do so specially when you want to win back your losses.
Yes, I think the most difficult game to stop gambling is DICE because it is quite addictive and results come quite quickly and you get a illusion that if a string of higher numbers have appeared then the lower one must be coming very soon while actually it's 1/2 chance every time you roll.
I use automated betting to stop and I set some profits which once reached it would automatically stop.
Dice is particularly addictive because its is quick to determine the results and there is no need for skills or research to make you win and all that is required in the process is simply pure luck alone and nothing else.

When domyou knowits time to stop in gambling, I suggest with set yourself a control greed how much money have ready to loss before you play to avoid more losses. Or if got winning bet once you can decide to stop playing before to late to lost again your winning bet. Wise gambler idea thats my only opinion strategy.
Yes but we all know how difficult is it to stop gambling when you are on a winning roll and when you are loosing you will feel like the winning is near the edge and will find a reason to gamble in both situations. I feel that one should avoid gambling on repetitive games like dice or roulette and instead gamble on sports because you don't have your favorite matches all the time to bet and hence able to stop after every match.

I don't know when is time to stop.  Grin
I stop when I lose everything.
I think you do not need to wait before you lose everything, if you feel that you always loose you should beed to stop because i think you know what gambling is, it is not profitable, it is just for entertainment. Me i do not stop yet but i dont gamble every day i do gambling when i feel i am lucky.
Neither it is for entertainment nor can it be a source of income for anyone. A thing that has been declared by the expert as a useless game that is only for wasting money and ruining your life. Then why people don’t consider this and make some better decision leaving this out. There are so many people who are sure about it being a worthless game but still they don’t ready to quit.

We all know that gambling is a very risky game. So for most people to be able to quit gambling games is a difficult thing, gambling games have a strong addiction rate. This is what makes the game of gambling in my opinion is not something we should strive for. I'm not sure that gambling players can stop playing easily. There is an inner rejection and it is a risk we must have since deciding to play gambling.

As you told gambling is not easy to stop it is highly addictive,so people who are new to gambling need to maintain time and money limit and always need to remember that gambling is not a way to earn money.

I will stop gambling when I don't have any money to bet. Grin
I agree with you my friend. Gambling is really unstoppable for the man himself who used to be a gambling addict because people are getting profits from it without doing any hard work which makes them financially strong.

How can one leave the source of getting such an income? If a gambler has some guts to leave gambling, even then he can only leave it after getting a proper treatment from psychiatrist.

I agree. The operative word is "limit". You have to set limits and control yourself to not plunge into the darkness of gambling addiction, and it's also a means to at least mitigate your loses. The thing about gambling is that it has the same effect on a person whether he is losing or winning. When you win, you want to play more to extend your winnings, while if you lose, you want to play more to get your loses back. It's like a person is in trance whether he wins or loses. Therefore, the best way to know when to stop is by setting limits to yourself as to time or as to money. You can also have a schedule gambling day so that you would not use most of your days gambling.

Good tips. I myself used several of them.

However, most of the time, I can't really control myself, specially when chasing losses. Its really very tough for me(us) to not go and try to win it back. A few times I was able to get it back and win more, but most of the time I ended up losing all my bankroll. Again, you heart and your mind at fighting inside of you, you need to have mental toughness to really used your common sense and better judgement to quit when you are still winning, or stop when you have been busted and don't continue and not chase it back because eventually you are going to lose everything and it will hit you back and realized that you have make a big mistakes.
This is not the problem with you only. I think all the gamblers have the same problem that they are unable to control themselves during gambling, especially when they are chasing their losses and want to get them back. They don’t recover their losses though; they lose more money instead of winning during their chasing process because they are not properly focused during their win back games.

We do not like to lose money in gambling but that is gonna happen most of the time therefore we should accept loses but the most important thing is that we have to set a limit so we will not get so frustrated in this kind of situation. When we start chasing bets and we loss control that will lead to more loses and if we are weak in controlling our emotion then I think it will be hard for us to stop, better not gamble at all.

I stop in the end when I lose everything too, and I agree with you people that we need to know to accept that. I said many times that gambling is not easy and if anyone wish to win in gambling he needs to be ready to risk often to do that with big amounts and in case of losing that money to chill out and come back next time with more money and try to win back everything that is lost and to make profit on top of that, that is possible only with risking and playing very aggressively. This can't be done by anyone, you need to have balls and be brave to risk against all odds and if you fall to be able to rise again.

It is not healthy to wait and loose everything before you decide to quit because you might wake up in huge debts when you finally gain the conciousness to quit gambling. I think the right time to stop is when you start loosing or when you start with a profit.
There are reasons of why people tends to continue gambling and get hard to make it stop besides of fun and excitement is if you already define the sweetness of winning then every time in the game it is always in your desire to win even if how many times you've get lose but still your spirit to win is unchangeable until such time that your money slowly gone and at the end only you will realized the regret of letting situations control over you.

I don't really know when to stop that's one of my problem when I am gambling .

If you don't know when to stop gambling then best option is decide first how much you want to spend money on these games and deposit only that much amount to gambling site account then you no need worry about when you want to stop because even though you finish your bankroll but it was predefined so your losses may not be so much.

Very nice. All I say is very nice. Well, in gambling in order for you to not lose all of your hardship you need to have goal. Let's just say in this day your goal is $1000 then after you reach $1000 stop the game no more reasons no more because. What if I win more? No more what if's! Your goal is your only goal! Because if  you become greedy and want some more there are big possibilities that you will going to lose all of your earnings and profit. In order to win, quit the game after you got what is your goal.

And if you lose all your bankroll before you hit the $1000 goal? It can happen and goals aren't a guarantee of profit on long term. You can try it once and make it work, but after few days you will see the strategy will stop working and you will lose more money you are earning. I think goals are a good way to organize your game and don't lose money you will need later, but worthless to make profit anyway.
Having goals isnt bad but on my part these things will really mess up my entire gameplay because once you do think a fixed result or target you would really push yourself to play even more and more worst you would decide to deposit again once your balance have been depleted. This is why we should always think on scenerio basis anytime we do play.If we do see that we are losing so much we should completely stop and dont tend to chase those amounts.
