If you have a high tendency to not stop until busting, then I came across these tips which do help:

  • Don't put all your available bankroll directly in the game (in case you're using deposits). Leave always at least half outside as a security measure if you go bust.
  • One must stop after reaching a certain goal, The goal should be predetermined and shouldn't be changed during the play.
  • If you're doing really good, withdraw part of your earnings (if you can, ofc) to avoid losing it all in one go.

Having a big bankroll can make you feel falsely safe in that "oh I'll just keep increasing my bet until I win" but alas, the 30 reds in a row do exist, and will come. Do not let them take it all.

The goal you make should be realistic and firm, Don't change it or else be prepared to face bad consequences.

You gotta fight back the voice that screams inside your brain "Come on, double again and we recover!".

You need to stop if you continue to keep on losing or else you will regret it in the end but for me winning or losing, gambling vice is really not good for you because it will ruin your life in which you may forget your friends, family, work and God. No one become rich because of gambling but many become rich and stable because of hard work like us.

I don't know when is time to stop.  Grin
I stop when I lose everything.
I think you do not need to wait before you lose everything, if you feel that you always loose you should beed to stop because i think you know what gambling is, it is not profitable, it is just for entertainment. Me i do not stop yet but i dont gamble every day i do gambling when i feel i am lucky.
We do not like to lose money in gambling but that is gonna happen most of the time therefore we should accept loses but the most important thing is that we have to set a limit so we will not get so frustrated in this kind of situation. When we start chasing bets and we loss control that will lead to more loses and if we are weak in controlling our emotion then I think it will be hard for us to stop, better not gamble at all.

I don't know when is time to stop.  Grin
I stop when I lose everything.

In my own experience, specially in a last based casino, I can't really stop when I still have money in my pocket to gamble. Eventhough I said to myself that its time to go home now because I'm losing, I can't fight it inside. And will play all my money I got from my wallet and eventually lose it all.

But during my last trip in a casino, I change strategy, I left my wallet and I bring just enough money to gamble. If I went busted then there's no way for me to withdraw. At least I can control it that way and not chase my lost which may result in more losses on my end.

Knowing where to stop should be something thought of before even starting to gamble !
As identifying the purpose of your gambling activity to whether it'll be for fun or for profit , identifying when it should end is imperative .
If it's for fun , then you should know it as soon as the fun ends , and if it's for profit , then your bankroll is your indicator ! Too much red means get the hell out . And don't just ruin yourself more and fall to the trap that most people fall to , trying to win back what you lost since it'll just bury you in more losses , depression and maybe debts .

In many cases people find it harf to quit from gambling even if the situation is they incurred too much loses or winnings because the addictive features of gambling attracts many people and its so hard to stay away from that. I think this will matter on how the attitude of a person will work and how they can manage to control themselves and divert their attention to other activities so they can forget gambling

it's almost very difficult to run the strategy you apply. the gap between gambling games played and the fact that sometimes happens is very much different. although we have careful planning while gambling, it still sometimes backfires when we find successive defeats

You must know that when would you stop. Because the most better time to stop is when you are winning. All because thier is more eagernes to gain more money and thier are also possibility to lose again instead of winning a game. Because too much greediness is lead you into  repent or a bad decition that you might not be able to do again.
You must stop when you see you are being affected with this. I think this statement can never be declined or refused. There are some people who even don’t think second time and leave this game, because they got to know about it. They got to know what the actual disadvantage of this gambling is and this can make you a better decision maker. Leave it before it eats you up.

That's the biggest part that hard to control if you are a gambler man, first thing to do is self discipline by doing you can control you're self as being addicted of gambling. Then if you gambled set  limit of you're money that you can afford to loss and don't follow you're emotion and say  "Come on, double again and we recover!". no that's the reason behind why some gambler turn to zero their capital because of the emotions.
If you win just enough then stop if you lost you're capital money then stop don't gambled all you're money much better to save and invest than gambled.

I was always planned to quit in gambling, but until now I cannot do it. Maybe all I have to do now is to limit the amount I used in gambling. Honestly it's hard to quit because most of time I was win so I decided to continue it until I've got my target amount in gambling.

All you need is not just the limit, but the discipline. It's useless to make a limit but you keep ignoring the limit and keep on gambling. When you've made a limit then you have to stop gambling after reaching that limit whether you win or lose. Do not just win and then you go beyond the limit you've made, it's the same with nonsense.

I always decide on the maximum amount of money that I am willing to lose before I quit a gambling session. it's usually $50 or $100. If I win, then that's great, and I usually take the money and leave, but if I lose, then I simply stop playing and leave the casino.

According to me there are many reasons and tricks to stop during the gambling, as the gambling includes profits and losses we are addicted towards both of them as we are human we tend to behave according to our Emotions and feelings and because of that i practise few tricks to stop something like planing a targeted amount of profit,or seomtime i take a break from gambling and watch few entertainment videos in order to stop from unwanted gamble trades, and sometimes i also do play indoor games like carromboard or chess so that i don't incur heavy loss.

You know it is time to stop bbetting when you are facing heavy losses and are becoming stressed due to this. As gambling is supposed to be done only for fun and not actually to earn money it should be stopped when you are losing alot of money. Also as it should be done only with the extra money you have that you can afford to lose. What most people would do when they keep losing is that they keep betting till they recover all their money, which is wrong.

It is obviously time to stop when your family, personal life, and work are affected by your gambling addiction. In fact, you shouldn't have gambled in the first place knowing that we all have the tendency to be greedy.

Nice tips, but all the tips in the world don't work until one seriously wishes it to work. Gambling requires some serious self discipline especially whenever things don't go your way, it's at this point where a gambler is at his weak spot, whether to play or quit. I have always advocated for a budget based gambling and having someone close to you who can control you is needed.

Indeed a limit is always a good way to gamble with your money. I would not advice anyone to deposit large amounts of money that they do not really intent to gamble with, this way you remove the urge to bet more than what you intended to bet with. For example, you just intend to bet with 1BTC but you deposited 10BTC (probably thinking this is to save on fees), but really if you lost the 1BTC there is that 9BTC there that you will likely be tempted to use and bet with.

having a limit could help us to stay away from losing too much money and we can leave the games as soon as we can. we don't have to spend all the money and I think with the limit, we actually know when the time for us to stop. but if we cannot control our emotion then I think no matter we have a limit or not, our chance to lose more money is still big.
What about a limit on winning?
It's much easier to quit while losing, quite after reaching the limit of the loss you can afford than to quit while winning because you are not restraint by budget, all you see is possibility of winning more.
It's important to know when to win quit. It's hard to do but better than reaching back to the square one.
