May come as a sad fact to a ton of people on here, I've already sold and have fully gotten out of Bitcoin months before any of this crazy stuff started to come out with BTU, not being able to agree on scaling solutions, and so on and so forth. I did make good money on Bitcoin, I'm happy and will continue to be happy with what I made, yes I could've made more but with that sense of greed it could go with any sort of asset that I purchased and sold too early. Any more Bitcoin which I get these days is sent to a Coin-base address which is instantly converted and I have no problem there, I'm not keen on exposing myself to this much volatility.

Good luck all!

It seems you have missed the recent big drop. But it is difficult to say if it was a wise decision in the long term.

I was saying that I would sell at $4,000, yet this became impossible with the current conditions. I don't know what to do really. Fork will cause huge damage to bitcoin, I guess.

Lol. Don't be so gloomy dude this is just a small setback and i'm pretty sure we'll all recover with btc in a short while. Your target of 4k may yet be realized this year or early next year. I'm believing in this because i have the same target as you and i'm pretty confident that regardless of what's happening right now, btc will break through

No plans of selling yet especially with bitcoins, still waiting for a couple more years to see the big difference from the price I bought it till the set price I made for a couple more years.
Keep bitkoina cold storage and just save, it seems to me for this very very large endurance Or do not have any other desires or needs. The fact is that today's life requires very high expenses from us and at the same time Bitcoin can help us greatly if it is available. Here it is hard to resist buying or selling.

I never had a plan for selling, not really. I have sold several times now, just above 0.2 which was a third of everything I owned and only because I needed to recoup some of my time and effort.

Am a long-term viewer so will not sell unless totally need to.

I'm not planning on selling for a long time, I expect the price to double before the end of next year, and even then I might still hold on to the majority of my coins.

Definitely in it for the long haul Smiley
I’m planning to sell my bitcoin in the right time when the price of bitcoin is rapidly increasing. I will hold my bitcoin and wait for a longer time. Holding is one the best way if you want to gain a high income. Being patient is one of things that you will consider if you want to gain much income. Lastly, I think the price of bitcoin will increase.

What is your exit point? Where will you sell your coins? How much % of your stack will you sell?
I have now a big amount of btc. I plan to sell it if the value of btc will double or even triple. I've been waiting to the moment that the btc will become $3000 and up. I know long term investment is really effective.

Price has gone down in recent times so I think now it will take time to reach to the price of $3000 so you need to have good patience as it may take longer then our expectations but that is a really good price to sell your bitcoins and if you can hold till the end of the year then you can expect much higher profits.

Bitcoin- in bullish time

What is your exit point? Where will you sell your coins? How much % of your stack will you sell?
I sell my coin when I get 10% or more profit. It is done for the coin whose price is stable.  Smiley

And then what do you do? Do you buy coins again if the price becomes low?
I'm not yet planning to sell bitcoin. I'm ready to wait a few more years until the price grows even more
That is the right mind set just keep holding bitcoin and don't be attracted for short term profits because they are not worth it and maybe after a few years 1 bitcoin is enough to buy an average size house so we can have our house by just the use of 1 bitcoin and also we will not miss the opportunity if we just hold because there is a lot things for bitcoin that will come in the future.

I have 8k Taas and wait for the first dividend. They should be long term investments and I would consider to sell them at 10-15$ per coin.

Well, if not because of the present circumstances that will push me to sell my bitcoin by next week, my initial plan was to hold my bitcoin till the 2018 and see what future hold for the value of Bitcoin before thinking of maybe selling 50% of my bitcoin. But am being force with the present circumstances to sell 35% of my bitcoin to enable me meet up with the challenges. So, currently am trying to get a good local exchanger that will buy it at black market price of at least 30% increase of the international value of Bitcoin.

Sell everything never. Sell enough to have extra fiat currency for extra expenses like bills.
If 1 BTC goes to 40k selling 30%.
After the massive of bitcoins price, I'm not expecting anymore with the price increase. Because it will happen suddenly and that $40k will be a good price to sell but I don't want to make myself upset again. I want to see the price first to reach at $3k and that will be my mark to sell.
Well you are very much optimistic about the BTC price I am not saying that it is bad but expecting such a high level that you talked of $40K is too much. There was a novel in my high school curriculum name “The great expectation”. Your this much expectation level reminded me the novel lolz. Anyway it is good but you have to keep yourself ready for any uncertain situation if occurred.

I need to, because I have seen the very potential of bitcoin to reach it's price up to the best and new ATH that it can reach. I don't have an idea what that novel is but yeah it's a great expectation but it needed a lot of time before we are going to see the price of bitcoin at that good rate. I will wait for the right time.

I sold my very first portions of coin about 3 weeks ago when price was still struggling to break 1800. Then sold second batch at 1900, third at 2200 and fourth at 2400. Yes I missed out on ATH but am not unhappy at all.
Wow this is amazing. I appreciate you for your selling strategy. There still will be many greedy people who will tell you like you did wrong that sold your coins. I have experienced it that with each price raise you will be told that look if u had them now. I am grateful that at least I found someone great in the forum who is expressing that he is happy with the price he sold his BTC.

yes that is right that if you have secure some profit then it is good to sell, but i think you still need to study the market and take a decision according to your study. i think in present time as most of the people are trying to hold their bitcoin and not going to sell so you also need to follow them, although you can take your own decision but still we need to think about the other opinion also.

If you had the intentions to earn profits through speculations then I won't call it the wrong move but if it was the part of a panic sell then it's not much appreciated. Considering the long term I believe that bitcoin would fetch $5K in next few years and current price volatility shouldn't affect our decision if we are considering the long term. This is my personal opinion and I might be completely wrong.
