Here it's the point.
I want to buy in Amazon or Alibaba something and pay in BTC.
Do you ever think this is gonna happen or not?

I mean, little and local e-shop are supporting nowadays the Criptocurrency Gateway; why instead do they seem to be late adopters?

And if yes, when do you think it will happen?

Everybody is talk about Amazon, Ebay, McDonalds, Apple, GooleAds, AliBaba etc. but there is no solid indicators for this clue. It's totally rumor. Because bitcoin's status is still unknown and companies can't announce they will accept bitcoin as a payment method.

Very obvious fact for us I believe.
Basically those statements have made to create fake hype to the bitcoin. There is no a real clue about they are all want to adding the bitcoin payment into their service. Just like mcdonald in thailand already accepted omisego as the payment system.
I don't think so about the bitcoin's status will be unknown. But as the more altcoin will try to implement the actual use of the crypto itself to compete with the bitcoin.
The bitcoin future has made the bitcoin become the biggest speculators coin. and not a mass adoption for daily usage.

Because its hyping in the internet and they see to it that the blockchain is very secured ledger that will keep their private assets, bitcoin is just a tool of a digital asset it will help them grow their business so E-commerce right now are emerging in blockchain.

Never understood such threads. What stops you from buying something on those e-commerce giants right now? Bitcoin is liquid enough to exchange it and buy something asap. In the worth case it will take a bit more time and it will take a couple more % as an exchange fee.

It is really hard to put on a certain date as legality is one of the main concerns, one of the sites you mentioned is owned by a Chinese which we know China have strict laws about cryptocurrencies. Another concern that these companies will face to is the acceptance for it, will there be person who are willing to accept Bitcoin as their mode of payment if they will be incurring additional cost? If these 2 are not a issue anymore then we can start to see these websites to accept Bitcoin in the future.

Already we could see Overstock.com,an online retailer which is a competitor to Amazon is accepting bitcoin payment since 2013.Just last week,we heard the news that amazon could soon announce that it would accept bitcoin payments.

What is overstock? i have never visited that store, and i am sure that only 1/20 of users of this forum only knows that that e-commerce shop really exists, we are talking about real shops, like amazon, ebay, or westbuy, the other doesnt matter because they can not affect the price by a lot, just like amazon could do, or ebay.
Just think about it, if apple starts accepting bitcoin, all those iphone fanboys who love bitcoin would be crazy and they will start hyping bitcoin like if there is nothing else to do.

A member already spoken about Purse so I will not talk about it. But there are some challenges for bitcoin to be accepted as a payment option in giant retail shops and e-commerce websites. Let me list down a few for you,

1. Fluctuating value: Bitcoin's value is dynamic and keeps fluctuating from one end to another within a very short period of time. So if you see a product price is 0.015 bitcoin now, it may change to 0.017 while checking out. E-commerce companies need a way to fight such fluctuations. Because it posses a huge risk on their profitability.

2. Transaction confirmation time: Currently bitcoin transactions usually take around 30 minutes if you pay suitable network fees. SO if you order something, your trade request won't get confirmed before the payment comes to their wallet. The system will have to keep checking for the transaction confirmation and then they can release the product for further processing and shipping. That isn't convenient.

3. Legal status of bitcoin: That is one of major challenges for bitcoin to be accepted as a payment gateway. The legal status of bitcoin is still not clear in majority of the countries. So e-commerce stores will not want to burn their hands on to something like this. They need transparency around their business.

I think these are the three major roadblocks for bitcoin to be accepted as a real payment gateway. It looks good now as an investment asset but not as a currency, at least for now. We need a faster and more stable crypto currency to become mainstream. Sad reality!

It would be huge if they start accepting bitcoin as a payment processor, anyway, you can buy amazon gift cards using bitcoin, and this is having the same role because you can buy on amazon with that card that you bought using bitcoin, it is amazing, i used to sell those cards on the past because those were very profitable.
anyway, it would be nice to hear that some big e-commerce stores are going to accept bitcoin, because it will pump the price by a lot .

why instead do they seem to be late adopters?
The number of small retailers is pretty low.  The difference is that they don't have a huge amount of resources to consider it, so their acceptance of BTC is somewhat experimental and they don't expect huge amounts of customers to be paying with it.

There's also the fact that BTC users are quite specific audiences, so very general audiences like Amazon may not be interested enough for it.  A VPN provider or porn site is more likely to accept BTC than Amazon or another major retailer.

As for adoption, I'd say it was happening more when the price was lower.  We're still mentioning the addition of one retailer at a time rather than giving general statistics or information.

If you really need to use those major services, you could try converting BTC to gift cards or using indirect systems like Purse.
