You can't look for perfection. A lot of people never take profits because they're busy waiting for that perfect moment. Including myself.
Everyone doesn't want to sell at the price that we're not satisfied.

Setting yourself with that perfect price and that perfect timing must be depending on your own thought. But it seems that everyone is waiting until the end of the year up to 2021 for that perfect price which will be triggered after the halving and we'll see it if it will happen.
We the small volume bitcoin holders were the one waiting for much larger time period to sell at an increased price. Right now halving is much focused and every decision related to bitcoin is now being taken relative to it. To reach target takes time, and sometimes out of luck it'll be reached in a short. Good is to follow the large volume holders practice of selling at small difference from the buying and once again buy back low.

I don't get why you still ask this simple question.

sell when you are in profit already, and it should be based on your target.

You know what is the hindrance of not selling at the right timing, it's what we called greediness.
So if you are greedy, you might miss the best opportunity to sell.
Knowing when to sell is probably the most important question when it comes to earning profits in any market, most are always thinking of when to buy but as long as you buy bitcoin whenever you have some cash available then you will make money.

The most critical question is when to sell, selling when the market is going down could cause you to lose money, selling when the price is going up seems like a good idea but if the price keeps climbing then you will lose profits, so you need to time perfectly when to get out of your position and there is not an easy way to do this.

Lol, whenever you feel you have made enough profits upon  your principal amount but i would advice that no matter what never sell all your BTC holding because you never know when the bull run of bitcoin will set in. So my plan is always to have $500 worth of BTC stored in my wallet, i don't mind losing this money hence i choose to keep it despite all the fluctuations. Please hold an amount you can afford to lose.

For long-term hodling: Cost average works well the sell once you can get back capital (until you recoup your initial investment and start earning real profits, keep hodling).
This is the best option for lazy people like me and it is a risk free strategy.

To be honest, crypto is filled with many lazy people. Most people will not do their own research and would rather depend on investment advice. I mean how hard is it to really study these charts - at most, a crash course should take anywhere between 6 months to 1 year and you would begin trading like a pro - which is quite simple: Look for support, Resistance, set buy orders in small fractions, take profit when possible.

PS nothing about Crypto is risk-free - not even the safest strategies. There is just too much exposure to volatility.

Answers to this question would have some individual preferences based on several factors. for instance, the level at which you bought the bitcoin and your sell off targets that you have set. A piece of advice don't look at making insane profits in one single trade or investment, that will leave you rekt. Sell bitcoin when you have made at least 30% gain in profits. This is not a financial advice but my piece of mind which i know has saved many from huge losses.

It depends on you mate, if you think it is profitable to sell your bitcoins now then why not, it just depend on what your goal is. The best time to sell bitcoin is when the price is it’s highest but with today’s situation it seems that the next AHT may think some time yet to happen so you might need to hold for a little longer but if you already see that you still can get profits now despite the current price then might as well take the opportunity while it last because we don’t know what is going to happen next.
It seems like almost everyone recommends that you wait until halving is finished before selling the assets you have. the choice is, if you really need money, and want to sell your assets because you feel you have benefited, that's not a problem. but, if you can wait a little longer, it's better to wait for price developments after halving occurs than to sell now. this is all in less than 5 months.

For mid-term: Try trading. Learn all the trading strategies there is, start by investing small, and move up gradually. NEVER get GREEDY.
Taking advantage of the volatility and invest during short burst, sticking to be basics is always the best strategy.

For short-term: I have no clue what to advise here, as timing is very important, and Bitcoin is very volatile.
When ever there is a correction i invest in the coin knowing the market will recover in the short and i am sure everyone does the same.

I am holding BTC from long time ago. And this time BTC going up can I sell now with this price? Or I can wait for more days?

Depends on when you bought, personally, I'd advise against selling BTC at any price without having to recoup your initial investment. However, it's also important to have an investment strategy before coming into crypto (hence it's a crucial beam in the DYOR maxim).

This year, among other things, one thing is for certain: Bitcoin halving; which may likely impact the price of Bitcoin. You don't want to be on the wrong side before or after the halving - that's for sure! But you can get more out of Bitcoin if you try one/more of these (disclaimer: just an idea, not investment advice):

For long-term hodling: Cost average works well the sell once you can get back capital (until you recoup your initial investment and start earning real profits, keep hodling).

For mid-term: Try trading. Learn all the trading strategies there is, start by investing small, and move up gradually. NEVER get GREEDY.

Perfect time for selling bitcoin I think one month before bitcoin halving coming, I optimist bitcoin have higher price during when bitcoin halving is coming close and every get much profit if start for investing now. Always higher price when bitcoin halving and make many investor interested to try investing with bitcoin and altcoin.

It's really hard to tell if that's the case since each one of us have different preferences upon perfect time selling since some intend to hold and some intend to dump whenever they got their funds but if people aiming to see a major result for the halving maybe it's best to wait up until the halving time exist since provably in next run of it that would be the perfect time to sell.
You are right! Each people do have reference on when they do consider a perfect time because if we do talk about profits then each person do have their own target or goal.
Some wont really be that contented on long term profits yet it would really be just small compared if you do actively trade with it.If you do hold up for how many years excluding that 2017 bull run
then you are still in profits but if you do able to buy on peak or ATH then you know on what kind of situation are you in for now. lol

Since when is that “Long time ago”?Because if you had already holding since 2017 then you should have profited highest value since it is the Hype that bitcoin recorded .

And if you really holding that coins, why didn’t you sell last september?when the price almost hit $14,000?and now asking us if you have to sell in this bearish market?

I believe that youre just making story here but none is true about your topic ..

I think the right time to sell bitcoin in your wallet is after halving. it's still about 5 months away, but I think it's close. I think that the price of bitcoin will not be lower than the current price, so when you want to sell it, wait after halving, the price may be above $ 10k. It's okay if you sell it now, but I think the profit you get isn't that much

If we are going to base on the previous halving, it takes four months before we can finally see some semblance of a rally. But I wouldn't immediately jump and sell everything after halving, because if we're going to see similar pattern as the previous one, it will takes more than a year to get to a new all time high.

So we need to be smarter now, we just don't dump because the price is good, we need to wait till the price is ripe for the taking. It might take years, so it's better to hold, you're not losing any if you will simply hold your bitcoin in your wallet.

We're barely up from the $7k support level. I highly suggest that you keep holding.

There is really nothing to be gained by dumping right now. The downside risk is very low in my opinion since the $7k support has been tested 2-3 times now, and it has held up decently well each time that it has been tested.

While the upside is high, since you've seen how BTC can rally extremely quickly when markets get reason for optimism with its ascension to $14k earlier this year. Obviously, that was unsustainable, but you do get the point.

^^ Spending is one thing but while still working its reasonable to only sell Bitcoin when you consider you have a better asset class to hold.  I think its reasonable to sell out of BTC if you think its price has accumulated a good amount over your time period of holding and you need to pay off some of your house mortgage for example.   In that way you are not spending anything but reducing your outgoings which in turns over a longer time period will result in more available cash to spend.
Thats really the best way to retain wealth, clear the debts first and reduce outgoing costs where possible so you left just with discretionary spending i.e. fun stuff.
