The last two years have been pretty depressing. That's probably why most people here are rather pessimistic. But with the upcoming halvening and the blocksize issue hopefully being resolved soon things might change.

In my opinion it will take a lot of time till it will can hit this number, I think it will not happen its to unrealistic.
Maybe its possible but than it will be sure in about 10 years from now not earlier, because the price is now low if you calculate it.

10 years from now, it is possible for the bitcoin price to hit $10,000. It has to be very optimistic for it to be earlier than that.

It will never happen. I think it wont happen, it impossible. The value now on this time is very low, so it must rise fast.Maybe in year 3000 it is possible. But I dont think it will happen. But we all hope that it will be more worth in the future.

Yes, nothing wrong with the positivity but $10000 is too much. There will be altcoins that will be utilized if the price of bitcoin becomes very high.
What is "very high" and which use cases would this apply to?
For example - I want to purchase something online costing $500. I purchase $500's worth of BTC, and send the BTC to the vendor.
Another example - I wish to transfer CHF 2000 from Zurich to Singapore. I purchase CHF 2000's worth of BTC, and send it to the Bitcoin address given to me by my Singaporean bank.
Neither of these two examples seem to rely on BTC being "low" or "high" (they don't seem to be dependent on the BTC/USD or BTC/CHF rate at all). So what is "very high", and when does it become an issue?

I dont think it will reach that much. If that happens then Bitcoin is really popular. I am for sure that will never happen.

If in 2020 the price rises to above $10,000 then it would be a very good years ahead of that... but I still think that it would be a little further maybe by 2030 or above that..

Simply not possible the end of this year, it will take a long time to reach there, not sure about the exact time but atleast it would take 9 to years to achieve that milestone.

That's just not an realistic outlook to have on 2016. I don't think bitcoin will reach this high of an amount, at least not with our generations of bitcoiners. It will probably take 2 or 3 more generations for bitcoin to get up like that.

Indeed i'm thinking exactly thinking the same thing.Its highly unlikely it will happen and its unpredictable.
Also the price of the bitcoin now is very low so it can only happen in about ten years.

Being honest i don't expect that bitcoin price will be even near to 10,000 in this decade, maybe after 2020+ I don't think the price can go this high. It makes no sense something worth cents would rise so high.

Bitcoin started as being worth just a few dollar cents. How can something valued at around $0.02 be worth $1150??? We have to forget the times where Bitcoin was worth next to nothing back then. We are now much further in the progress.
