people are holding bitcoin even they have bought it before 1000$, they are every not going to sell their bitcoin in the present price when the price is trading above 2400$ level because they are pretty sure that the price of bitcoin is expected to increase more, they are sure about the price of bitcoin that very soon it will cross 5000$ level.

Everyone seems to be sure that the price will go up to $5,000. And with the price that is dipping now, this is making others to take the advantage of buying more because we do have the same belief that bitcoin will still increase in the end.

Everyone is hoping to see recovery in price pretty soon so one one is willing to sell their coins and instead will buy some more bitcoins at this price and people who will have patience and hold their coins for a long term will win the race in the end.

This recovery is possible to be seen after the hard fork. As of now people are still unsure on what they will do, if they will shift to some alt coins and transfer their bitcoin funds or just sell it out. And after selling, they will only wait for the time to see bitcoin at dip once the fork was already done.

Yes and we may see price going even lower in next few days as people have started to get panic and are dumping their coins now so I think now it will take long time for bitcoin to touch the price of $5k and surely that is not possible in this year and may be we have to wait for the next year to see that price.

Well if the situation which existed during may had continued,then most of them would have said that bitcoin would reach $5000 by the end of this year.But situations have changed now.Rumours are being spread that bitcoin price would crash after august 1 and so some new investors are selling their bitcoins.So price has dropped now to $2269.So,i think that bitcoin may reach $5000 by the end of 2018.

I think 5000 dollars will reach before end of this year 2017. So what are you waiting for buy more bitcoin now and enjoy the profit later. More bitcoin that you jave more chances of to get a lot ofprofit you become rich in the future . Hold your bitcoin and keep buying. Dont be panic. Yeah and bitcoins surely has an potential to achieve that price in future but no one is sure when exactly that time will come and if everything goes fine then we may witness that price in the mid of next year or even in the end of this year and everyone is positive that bitcoin will surely achieve that price in coming days.

If the scaling issue had been resolved earlier this year, as it was expected, we would have already reached that value. But it will probably not take long... miners care about money, so I think it's only a matter of time...

As for what's been stated here I should confirm that every situations happened was just unpredictable in terms of the price value to hit higher. We must be positive enough to view it as progressive future for investing a holdings and expect price fluctuations. Don't think of a negative thoughts behind because it may losen up your belt when there's a huge fluctuation which we cannot control. As you surpass that challenge you are having, gladly you can make it to success that price will eventually surprice you in the future.

No, I am very sure that the segwit will goes to succeeds and after the segwit its price will goes to increase, so this time we need to just believe on bitcoin that its price will goes to increase and bitcoin will be very successful currency in future. But I think it would be there in a couple of year I hope,
I think we all want to see it hit that high and as long as there are more investors investing in bitcoin I think it could hit higher than that.

We can't expect exactly the date when it will reach 5000$ but I don't think it will be far if the price continue to rising highly .

He must have meant to denote hitting $2500 (in 2017) after hitting $1000 (in late 2013).

But I do not think bitcoin may need same period of time to have double the prices from current levels. It may hit $5000 in next four months of time too. But we need to wait for clear trend till segwit activation. If we enter into positive sentiment after segwit then we can easily see $5000 levels within 2017 Wink

All of us are expecting for bitcoin to get up to $5,000 and right now the price is still rallying between $2,480 - $2,600. I hope we'll see the price of bitcoin land at $3,000 before August 1. If that happens then we'll expect to see higher price once the scaling was already done.
