We can not know that, it can only stay in domain of speculation. There is also another question that is in coloration... Will it get back to its ATH. Anything is possible and as much as we believe we have to be ready for all the scenarios.
Looking bitcoins complete chart we can see that there was ups and downs, one year its going down, next he is recovering completely. I hope history will repeat once again and that this year we will see bitcoins ATH comeback.

Hence, 2019 should be a year where the price increases a bit and before the 2020 halving we will definitely see another uptick not just because of the halving but because of people assuming it will go up.
Block halvings have proven to be reliable growth factors prior and after the actual event itself. It's almost hard coded into people's minds by now that halvings translate into price increases.

Too bad the numerous scam forks will lift on that free bit of pumping that they inherited from Bitcoin. Given how far ahead Bcash and BSV are in terms of blocks minted, they'll be the first to have their rewards halved.

I however don't see the price go extremely wild based on the halving. It could just as easily double from $4500-$5000 to $10,000 and hover around that important level for months. It's not easy to sustain such price levels.

Since 2017 after bitcoin got its all time highest, the  market has kept it down and there has been no real sign of going up again, but when will it get back to its all time highest?
I think the logical step would be probably after the halving, not right after but a bit after. Now we are destined to be at least a bit better in 2019, I do not hope for a huge increase but I do see the price going up a bit because there has been so much investments and funds and regulations and laws for bitcoin and crypto in general that there is just too much money involved indirectly to bitcoin that needs to recoup that investment back somehow and that only happens if there are too many people interested in bitcoin and people are interested in bitcoin only when its going up.

Hence, 2019 should be a year where the price increases a bit and before the 2020 halving we will definitely see another uptick not just because of the halving but because of people assuming it will go up. After that its just a marathon and not a sprint.

I don't think any body here can tell when or whether Bitcoin will ever return to such height again. Although, anything can happen in crypto currency world since no one was able to predict exactly what happened to it's market value in 2017 but only time will tell.

it very unpredictable as of now mate because there's still some factor that always occur especially when there's a slight pump in the market and the growth rate still experience a consecutive fluctuation. but no need to worry because it will never go below on this bottom price.which is jusy accumulate more instead and put more patience because it will be fine soon.  Just keep believing if you're a true hodler.

I see a lot of you hear are saying it's not gonna happen soon or that hoping for BTC reaching $20k is a illusion but I think you guys have forgotten how crazy this market is. One day BTC is sitting at $3.5K the following day it goes to $10K. Note that there are companies out there that are starting to invest in bitcoin and buying them in million dollars. I even believe there will be a slight bull run if ever the BTC ETF gets approve.
maybe the first target to be reached at the current bitcoin price increase is to return to the price of $ 5k and so on to $ 7k and it will go to $ 10 until the price returns expensive at $ 20k, everything requires a process and nothing instant.

We can't predict based on the historical price movements because the conditions are lot different in 2013 and in 2019 so the market will adjust based on it

That's what I thought as well, but it seems that the market itself is just as irrational as always, and we can see that the movements and cycles nicely rhyme. When the market participants have matured enough and care about fundamentals, these extreme cycles will come to an end, but it doesn't seem that we're even remotely close to that happening from where we are today.

Look at altcoins for example, pumping hard while they are as shitty today as they were before the pump. It's all speculative, people don't care what it is or how much utility it has as long as it goes up.

If the history repeats exactly then we may have $20k levels by end of 2020. I mean if you agree that 2017 was a repeation of 2013 (both the years are having then ATH of $1200 and $19.5k accordingly) then we had similar incidents of 2014 in 2018 and we may have sideways movements in 2019 which was exactly happened in 2015. and in 2016 market slowly recovered and by end of December 2016, bitcoin market was trading above $900 but tested $1000 in the first week of 2017.

Roughly, the peaks of current ATH may be test by 2020, because we will have halving on that year. But, when considering the current popularity and infrastructures of bitcoins ecosystem, a new ATH may be possible even within this year too as everything is possible by bitcoin markets.
Early 2021 is when we will see an all time high again. However in 2021 we will also Bitcoin run from 20k to 200k-300k by years end.
We can't predict based on the historical price movements because the conditions are lot different in 2013 and in 2019 so the market will adjust based on it and remove $20K from all your mind will let the bitcoin grow on its own or it will get dumped again when it reaches the value again.

"Comeback tomorrow. The price will be $30,000."

Is this comment of mine does have sense?

Remember that even how good the analyzation of all "professionals" here, still it can't be consider as strong reference why bitcoin price should reached a certain price level at the given time. I might give you technical analyzation if you want but again it will just fall under the "speculation".

What to do now? Make your own "analyzation" out from your own study.

TA isn't a dead obvious thing to do. However these $30,000 or $20,000 or $10,000 price targets are for sure dellusional.

Adoption still beeing the key component for success. Stuff like Silk Road merely been a niche segment *coughs* but somewhat the right direction to go. Imagine Alibaba would embrace Bitcoin! (Snuffing Ebay or Amazon on that example, because of utter fail on their side. I boycott both because of that.)

I believe bitcoin can go back again at $20k or even higher as the years will pass.  There are persons already predicted that bitcoin can go up as much as 250,000$ .

The answer to this question is not nearby. The current situation is so bad and I can not find a useful indicator about how the next movement will be.
I have no idea you believe experts or not, but most of them say prices will be fine after 2-3 years.
Even if you find a useful indicator which shows the next trend movement of the market will never know the actual time or days when the market will get back up to 20K price range or reach another ATH because we just prediction while the level of demand in the market and mempool status determine the price of the market but experienced crypto trade know the market surge in next 2-3 years as you said.

Currently, that's hard to say. If don't have any sign yet about that but speculation. Perhaps that would be possible if there will be a big news that could brought the market of cryptocurrency back again to its ATH.

For sure we're going to get back to $20k but I don't expect it to happen this year. Maybe after halving again, we're going to have a new all time high. It's a little bit too long but it's fine because more than $20k is really worth the wait. This is just a speculation of mine because no one really knows what were going to happen.

It's not going to happen soon, the market got a heavy correction in 2018 and the investors trust level is decrease sharply, without the trust and the funds we don't have enough transaction volume to make the price go up, we need more funds and adoption to make Bitcoin hit ath again, the market condition now is in a bad condition so it's impossible to push Bitcoin price to reach that number

I supported what you said because I also believed in self wisdom cause we talking about investment here and what I learned in crypto market is that never rely on peoples speculation because a lot of people make false predictions in other to pump their holding.
Meanwhile, Bitcoin will definitely reach and surpass the previous ATH but no one when that will happen.

So you are basically saying that it could be that we see the $20k by the end of 2020 but it could also already happen this year?

I am also pretty sure that Bitcoin can go up to the price of the ATH again but also I don't wanna commit myself to a certain time when this will happen . For me crypto markets are just too unpredictable.
