in such a market as it is now, it is rather difficult to expect incredible success from ICO companies, this leads to a delusion, I believe that ICO will exist as long as cryptography exists, since it is an integral part of the crypto industry. ,
Investments in ICOs are a good thing for crypto development. The problem is with scam ICOs and not with the investing in ICOs. We need regulations for that and of course sanctions for the scammers.
I once invested in a company that produced renewable energy. It was not a blockchain business and guess what, they also scammed me and many other investors. Everyone must take care of their own financial affairs and regulators can try to give some guidance and protection. However, in a decentralized world it is very complicated to pass the correct legislation for this problem.
I was explaining that scams exist everywhere. They exist with ICO projects and they exist with normal companies. That was what I said. Not sure what you are saying now.
IMHO It will never end because of peoples greed, it will transform in different forms like now in IEO, but people never stop hunting for easy money

As of now, I think that the hype of ico has come to an end. More and more of ICOs are scam and lots of them also are there for the benefit of some only. No more believes in ico. This is the truth. I do not feel more that people are too much excited about ICOs. They have become more realistic. When choosing a project, they learn everything about it before making any investment.
So today on 3/21/2019 i can say its done hype is over and i think ICO is going to end and a new type of money raising is here IEO every week new exchanges join this market and i am sure this will replace ICO with time but i hope with this tool scammers would leave the market and investors' money be in hands of professionals.

It is not going to end, because they are transforming very fast. When the ICOs were in an awful situation, STOs came into the game and people started investing in STOs. The new trend are IEOs and I hope this would hold for a long time.

The hype has reduced drastically, gone are the days when we all rush to participate in ICO projects. Now it is only few of them that still have that such hype, many are struggling to even raise their softcap and some are lying to have done for them to just be able to list the token or coin.

Now if we see that ico has already been abandoned by interested ones who are no longer interested. I think this trend will end and also many people will try new things that currently exist and clearly benefit the existence of the IEO
Many scam projects make investors afraid to place their money, this is what makes me prefer to wait instead of being hit by a scam, buying new listed coins is certainly more promising than the new ICO invest.
As i see lot of bitcointalk account getting a red trust for promoting hype scam ico so lot of ico scams getting banned and not trusted so its better to find a other way to avoid scam ico's.
