maybe bitcoin is not known to many people so people who have bitcoin less than people who have cash. if retailers want to use bitcoin as money that people use as usual, if retailers know about bitcoin maybe all that will happen large amounts move into bitcoin as the currency they use for transactions. bitcoin is needed by retailers because bitcoin will benefit all of them, conscious retailers about bitcoin let you get its benefits.
The possibity that more retailers accept bitcoin is higher because we already adopted that kind of system like electronics payment because i think we are now at first step of digitalize world making all things at ease by electronics transaction then how much more if we are in the middle era of crypto world? i've imagining how life more easy if we've come on that.

As mate mentioned that Bitcoin is still not known to a very high level due to some reasons like still age of BTC is not more and still there is need some more develpment for BTC so that it get trust of more people while also it need more and more advertisement so that more and more people can get information about BTC while other issue is that more areas in world have still no internet access due to which that people are unable to know about BTC. But as with time these issue will be resolve and retailer will also be increased with time.

There have been a couple of establishments in different countries that accepts bitcoin and every now and then, a few more added. However, some are having second thoughts even bitcoin users due to the high fees. But having and establishment here in my country that accepts bitcoin is on top of my wishlist. Maybe when bitcoin becomes more popular and more people are aware of its existence and positive advantages topped with low fees, then maybe more retailers will start accepting bitcoin.

This is the most awaited by us, as we know that bitcoin users are on the rise and it's time we hope more retailers can receive bitcoin directly, if more and more retailers are receiving bitcoin then users are increasing.

I guess retailers will accept bitcoin when they see others start to accept it. People just cope up to what they see on their surroundings so i think a big retailer needs to accept it and see it's advantages by then others will follow.
I think that what we are seeing is the opposite, the first people that began accepting bitcoin were not owners of big companies but people with small businesses as bitcoin becomes more popular the bigger business will not be able to afford to not accept bitcoin or they are going to lose customers to those business that accept bitcoin, at that point we will reach critical mass and bitcoin will spread like wildfire.

I think more retailers will accept Bitcoin when bitcoin will be recognized as digital currency and will be recognized by the government

I think every bitcoin holders dream that there will be shops that accept bitcoin in every country. In our situation today, it is like holding your money with too many restrictions because you can't do what ever you want with it because of there are only few agencies that accept bitcoin

"Japan: No Bitcoin Tax, Thousands of Stores to Accept the Cryptocurrency"

article published July, 5, 2017
https://edgylabs.com/2017/07/05/japan-no-bitcoin-tax-stores-accept-cryptocurrency/

"AirRegi is a widely used, tablet-based point-of-sale app in Japan. Currently, around 260,000 establishments, stores, and commercial facilities use this proprietary app to accept payments from their clients."

It makes sense that a transition to accept bitcoin would be underway for more US-based stores.
Not all the countries all over the world are knew about bitcoin. There is still some country that do not even know what bitcoin is so it will be harf for them to accept bitcoin as a mode of payment especially small retail stores.

I think this year the bitcoins will be much more accepted in the market because they are getting famous and known all around the world. Especially in jaoan there are retailers that are highly accepting bitcoins as a mode of payment and we all know that japan is leading when it becomes in technology and i know that people will start to trust more the bitcoins because of that thing. I know that some stored in america are accepting bitcoins as a payment and now that bitcoins are rising i think they will now use it before itnis too late.

They will accept it soon, merchants started it out but the fees are too crazy as of the moment. And there are businesses that are fully focused with bitcoin started to collapse because most of their customers can't afford to pay the miners fee. If this will be continuous many businesses and retailers will start to push themselves away from bitcoin because they can't cater to operate because of the problem.

Getting merchants to accept Bitcoin has proven to be difficult. Even though it has become easier to do so, merchants simply aren’t interested. I think they will changed their mind if the government  announces that they are supporting bitcoin as a mode of payment.

Just like Japan of all other countries  start to legitimize crypto currencies then we can see more merchants accepting bitcoin as a payment method. Also the the confirmation times and transaction fee should come down, for bitcoin to become more popular with retailers

Don't expect either confirmation times or transaction fees to fall without significant changes to the Bitcoin ecosystem (either block size increases, reduction in the block times, or some alternative to on-chain transactions, like the Lightning Network). The confirmation time and transaction fees are related, and they're both currently prohibitive and there's no shortage of viable crypto alternatives. Without changes, people will eventually tire of the poor usability of the Bitcoin network and select cheaper and more nimble competitors.

Yes, very soon, Bitcoin will start a tough retalers business. In our country, there is a little more beard than the administrative side against Bitcoin because of which everyone is trying to stay a bit safer. Moreover, Bitcoin prices are a little lower. When Bitcoin prices are little the same, retailer business will start buying Bitcoin. They are now afraid that buying Bitcoin again does not hurt. They do not want to take risks.

Or maybe they just don't realize the worth of bitcoin that is why maybe they don not accept bitcoins. But if they just only knew that if they start receiving bitcoin today, they will be more earnings for tomorrow.
it is not just about the value actually , but about there who hold bitcoin and use it in daily basis getting much . without people who use bitcoin actively to make a transaction , i believe retailers won't feel happy and decide to not look for bitcoin .

only time can shows us how useful bitcoin and then retailers getting interested to adopt it.

I think that it is not good to use bitcoin because it is volatile. It will be a waste if you use it without converting into local currency. It is good if it has stable price like dollars where you don't be afraid to have shortage when using it. Maybe it will be use by online buyer to pay bills in safe and fast manner.

Soon I bet. I have read somewhere in the forum that Amazon is already considering bitcoin as payment for the products and services that they offer. In addition, more and more online shops and payment centers already accept the online payment by convertion from bitcoin. Therefore, it is quite sure that they'll accept it soon.
This is just a rumor, no official word has come from Amazon, while I would like that to happen that is not going to be the case until the fees get lower, if steam dropped its support for bitcoin due to the high fees, I do not see why Amazon will suddenly decide to accept bitcoin when the fees are at one of the worst point in the history of bitcoin.

When the Bitcoin will stop being unstable and be at a fixed price, for now, we are far from that, there is no reason to accept it
