Like other said , i feel comfortable too using this coin . I think the others are afraid because the price is going down but if you see the important of using of this many people want this. For me its makes my life easier and i want more bitcoin to hold and profit in trading.
Well if you are well versed and have perfect information about the technology, you will not feel insecure in the Bitcoin business. Besides, price fluctuation is a temporary phase and happens in every market. This should not be considered as the end of Bitcoin.

We had a down market since the start of the year and it started recovering in July so keeping this in mind, one can feel that the market has inbuilt abilities approach back to equilibrium position thereby restoring the gap in the fall. Speculation also influences the demand pattern and Bitcoin is expected to rise beyond $20000 towards the end of the year.
Absolutely! Many are already comfortable using bitcoin, specially those who are fully-aware and educated about its nature and on how to deal with it. But for some who are doubtful and have misconceptions about the technology, they are still uncomfortable using it. They fear volatility, risks, and losses they may encounter upon joining the community or in the market, and also its wide adoption. With the current state of the market, and the developing economy of bitcoin, still there are many people who are not comfortable using it, but I'm still very hopeful that at the course of time, demand will increase, they will be enlightened, and be more educated.

When will people spend BTC as easily as fiat , not seeing it as an investment opportunity but a better currency for them to use ? Most of my friends that I have currently told about Bitcoin are most intrigued by its rapid rate of growth and not its outstanding features as a currency. They don't really care that it is free from government control , but are more focused on the fact that it has risen xy%

I don't really spend much of my Bitcoin , because I am always in fear.
I am not talking about cashing out , but for digital goods.

How do you spend 10 mBTC on a 5$ digital good when you believe that the same 10mBTC is worth atleast 15$ , probably more.
How much of your Bitcoin have you hoarded , and how much have you really spent ?
I am under the impression that people tend to hoard more with BTC than with fiat , considering it an investment more than a currency

I don't know how to make a poll here , so :- http://strawpoll.me/1793917
This is not referring to your blockchain.info statistic , which includes money you have moved around. I am looking at money you have truly spent vs total amount of BTC you have received.

Overall , I'm trying to look at how much my guess is true by the poll and your estimates of when majority of people will start looking at BTC as a currency.

EDIT : I'm not sure this is the right section , tell me if this should go in General Discussion or so.
There are only few stores and businesses in all over the world that are accepting bitcoins. The digital society will only occur if many people in our society are using digital currencies.

I think it boils down to usability and the fear of losing money due to bitcoin's volatility.

Right now, there really is no point in using bitcoin if you're just a regular individual. You have fiat money and you have been perfectly fine since day one. Why the sudden switch to using bitcoin, right? I think crypto is really useful to people who sends money online. The fees are just a lot less especially when you have to transfer abroad. Other than that, is there really anything else? There isn't much reasons for a regular individual to use bitcoins. If I wasn't making money from the Internet, I probably would have stayed away from bitcoin and have focused in other things instead. We need the merchants to start accepting bitcoins.

The next thing, people are afraid that they are going to buy bitcoins and then wake up the next day that the price have become really low. It's very unlikely for that to happen but it still can happen. To solve this, people should realize what volatility is and how can they be in profit even with the market going down. They have to understand the concept behind it to understand that it's a normal thing to happen.

On the other hand, what's the fuss anyway since we're making money from bitcoin and we don't need non-tech savvy people asking dumb questions here. Roll Eyes

Well, people will only be confortable using bitcoin if it become legally acceptable and widely use all over the world that became a world currency, becuase this way you can use it anytime, anywhere you go, you can transact as many as you can and can save and invest too.

People aren’t educated enough about Bitcoin. Since BTC is rapidly growing, so are negative thoughts about it and all are scared to get scammed. They would still always choose whatever they are convenient with because they are confident in that. Some people just can’t take the risk of losing money to something they don't believe in.

A sense of comfort will reach if bitcoin has been approved by the government and can be used to buy daily necessities. Because at that point bitcoin will actually become a currency.

of course all users will be more comfortable using bitcoin if all countries immediately legalize this crypto currency, even though it will be taxed for bitcoin users

Probably, here you are right. Meanwhile, honestly, I hate the idea of taxes for the cryptocurrency. By the way, I feel pretty comfortable now when I deal with Bitcoins: safe, convenient, and quite fast.

People will feel comfortable using bitcoin only when the blockchain ecosystem efficiency is improved on.
Like the scalability issues ...which will support the mass adoption of bitcoin.
People are in misunderstanding with the cryptocurrencies as they think that it is very easy and then they bring all their wealth here and when they lose their money easily then they describe the crypto investment as a bad investment source which is the result of their faults.

Get out of these perceptions and think sharply about it as we have seen the progress of people which made them billionaires so we should focus where the benefit is.

I think it has to become more accepted first. We need more and more businesses to start accepting Bitcoin. Another issue is the price fluctuations. I don't know what will help minimize them, but now it's hard to price a product in Bitcoins if the equivalent in dollars can vary so much from day to day.

I don't personally have an Bitcoins yet. I'm just researching it now. I think it's a long process, but BTC will gain more momentum, as time goes on, and it will start spreading faster.

I feel when I own a lot of bitcoins, and when the value of it is higher than $ 10,000, I will sell all of the bitcoin I own so that I can buy myself and my family things. necessary. I will extract some money to go to charity for the center. When it was time for me to feel comfortable using the bitcoin I owned.
This is not necessities you are talking about. This is called luxuries and yes you feel comfortable when you do not have to worry about anything. Once your financial affinity is saturated or super saturated, you need motivation in life and may be that is the reason why some people jump into charity works but remember that generosity has nothing to do with your bank balance. So yes once you have enough financial freedom, you just feel comfortable with Bitcoin.

I am sure that even when someone does not have bitcoin he can comfortably use / do business or bounty as long as he understands and knows very well about how this platform works. Yes, it all depends on how deep he knows the business process on this cryptocurrency platform.

I don't think that point will come anytime soon. The majority of public will consider it as an investment, so I don't think we will reach that point where they will spend it in their everyday life. Wink Wink
