I have learned from from my mistakes and now I choose to hold coins for good or bad. If you hold and only one shoots the moon it makes up for 100 quick sells. I only wish this would have been my strategy from the start.

hay ... I'm here to know your stories and experiences about when you get coins from various kinds of ICO usually all people do 2 things
there is a sale and there is a coin hold
which are you guys? explain the reason ..

After i achieve the payment from ICO project,
all i did is wait, don't sell the token, just make sure that those token will explode soon in another exchange, so we can sell them when the price reach its peak.

There are no common rules for such situations.  You must follow the way an ICO is developing after tokensale. Some of them start working hard on their projects,  then you hold tokens.  Others slow down,  then tokens are to be sold before they cost at least something.

If I invest in ico and have received its tokens, I will not hold all of its tokens. Some of them I will sell first to return the capital and re-invest into other projects. The remaining tokens will be my long-term investment.

I think it all depend on the kind of coin you you get from an ICO, some coin have more potentials than others. It the coin seems to a future prospect, it is always good to hold such coin but if otherwise itbis better to sell it off as quick as possible.

In general, I choose a long-term strategy. But if I need money and if I bought tokens on the ICO with a good bonus, then I sell some of the tokens (30-50%). 50% of tokens I hold at least 2-3 years .

For me, when I get a coin from an ICO I would prefer to hold such coin rather than selling it off immediately. It is always good to take time to study how favourable the coin will be in the market.

This question has been ask in this forum several times now and its not just the third time I seen this question but anyways holding a coin is a wise idea but it's not the smartest thing to do. Like for example, when you have a lot of money and you want more will invest it in bank. No right, my point is that luck does not happen everyday. If your thinking that the event happen in the huge increase in the amount of bitcoin will happen again, think again. I believe it is better to invest coins and sell it; make it move than wait for a miracle to happen which most people will do.

I actually mix this strategy. I set a reasonable profit target, such as %20 and I sell %50 of the coins when the target is reached. Then, I set a new target for other half. As the price goes up, I get some profit and still have coins for future go-to-the-moon. So, half sell, half hold Grin

IN recent time almost all tokens went below the ICO price after getting listed to an exchange. So, holding is the only way to profit, in general, a coin will have a price bounce in about 6 months to 1 year time frame.

I sold several coins and then their price grew up, not significantly, but anyway I could get more profit in case of holding.

From Investment, I do promotion of the project I invest in, and I have faith on all project I promote, so when its over, and when I have my tokens, I will hold it as much as I can, or as long as I can! all project has so much potential that is why its so hard to sell those token in such short period of time, I did try at first selling a token I just received and I regret it BIG time! growing as much as 300%. so I learn from my experience! hold it first!
But in the case of trading, I am a day trader! I buy on that day and I sell on that day when I get a chance to have a good profit! cheers! Smiley

Tokens after ICO, I usually hold! Because, after the exchange, all trying to sell the token, the token naturally falls in price! But if you hold the token for a long time, and the project will be really good price token can grow three or even ten times!

It depends on the project actually, if there is potential in it it is better to hold.

For myself it depends of the ico project, if i’m very confident about that ico then I will hold it, if not I will sell it at least got some profits. Because some good projects make the white paper and the roadmap very clear, and we can expect our return. Normally I will hold the coin if they got staking or masternode. For Long term are very good profits. But some of the token we will only know either got staking or masternode after maybe they release or update their roadmap, If this kind of scenario I will sell it after ico because we donno when the date line itself.

If I am optimistic about this project, then I will choose to hold it for a long time.
In a bull market, hold the iCO project will have a good gains, while in bear market, I will quickly sold these tokens, because it will continue to fall, may be the initial price is the highest price.

It will depend on how's the project doing. If i think the project I invested in worth holding (potential in using, well-developed, good team, etc) I will hold. Or else, I will sell them as soon as I get my profits. Anyway, I usually analyze the project really well so I believe in the project I have invested in. That means I will hold them until the end (or the main phase) of the project, that's the best time to sell the coins from the ICOs.

depending on the situation in the market, if the market price is much higher than the ICO price, we would want to sell it immediately, but if the market price is lower than the ICO price we will think to hold it until the price rises, because we can not possibly buy at expensive prices and sell them at cheap prices Tongue lol

If I like the roadmap and the dev team is meeting deadlines and providing updates, I hold the coin. If the team is not providing updates and not much is happening, I sell the coin. I usually do research beforehand so I end up holding most of the coins because I believe in the project and the team.
