No, in the country where I'm residing, there are no restrictions when it comes to the exchange or platform used for trading crypto currency. But because of the recent news that in the Philippines they will start to ban access to Binance, it looks like I will need to use a VPN to access Binance because that's where I do my trades and also my exchanges. Luckily, it is not against the rules and regulations of Binance to use it, so I will need to find reliable VPN software that is trusted and doesn't overcharge, as some VPNs are too expensive to avail of their services.

but still be careful with the usage of VPN. If you have current exchanges or platforms, make sure to know if they allow the usage of VPN because you will not want your account to be banned on the platform, and it is also better to use VPN on a daily basis to avoid malware or viruses scattered around the internet.

I don't trade with VPN because most of the platforms I use here for trading aren't currently restricted in my country, both forex and crypto exchanges. Those that make use of VPNs to trade are typically people that have restrictions on using some websites or platforms in their zone. Hence VPNs are needed to access those sites. Some effective VPNs are paid VPNs, while some free ones are meant to steal your data and need to deal with carefully.
The same in my country Indonesian, almost of exchange market not restricted for accessing exchange market website and allowed to trade without required with KYC. I don't know how secure with our account when trading trough VPN access because has abnormal IP accessing with my exchange account usually with local IP and then have to use VPN get difference IP access. I think if can't access to exchange market website without supported VPN better purchase premium VPN not recommended with free has bigger risk later with account suddenly lock or easily get hack.

Free VPN has advertising ads and make us annoying when accessing the exchange market have waiting until ads advertising close, don't be too calculating by paying under $5 to get a premium VPN and our data more secure.

In countries where different crypto currencies or crypto exchanges are not allowed, it is usually necessary to use a VPN for trading. There are some popular exchanges including Binance which are very popular worldwide and most of the countries have approval for these exchanges so there is no need to use VPN to use this app. You must use a VPN to take advantage of such apps, especially if no crypto exchange is allowed in your country. If you have to use VPN to conduct such activities, then you must choose a good quality VPN to conduct your trading activities. You must find and use a VPN that will protect your privacy and provide you with good service.

Do you use VPN proxy?
Specially If You are Country Where the laws not Crypto trader Friendly?

Do You hold Ur machine or wallet in better juridical locations?
An exchanger is required for trading and I have noticed that gambling sites are restricted for different countries, which means that the website cannot be accessed without a VPN from that country.  But this is not the case with Exchanger, Exchanger supports all countries and can be accessed very well without any kind of VPN.  So why should we use VPN for trading? On the other hand there are now many decentralized exchange DEXs for trading which cannot be controlled by any country's government.  So I think there is no need to use VPN in this case
Not all countries though. Just like for example on that known platform like Binance which they do have that restricted countries too.

The banned countries include OFAC countries such as North Korea and Iran, while countries that are restricted from using Binance include the United States, China, Canada, and Japan, among others.
Source

And this is why there's Binance.us on which it would really be only for those who do reside on such country. In overall, if you do see that you are living in a world which is restricted then it would be better to find
other alternative. Why would really be making use of VPN? You are really just that putting yourself into some serious headaches later on.
Also, we do have different or lots of alternatives in speaking of exchange platforms. Better stick on somewhere you do find yourself that comfortable.

Why? I have never used vpn to trade and my country ip is unbanned in all the exchanges i use. On the other hand the problems of using vpn are many as there will often be problems with ip verification.
Another thing is that using vpn requires permission in many places on your device which can be dangerous in future.

The fact is that if they want to catch you or you are in the eye, then VPN will not help you. There may be problems with the authorities
On the other hand, using VPNs can cause problems with exchanges. In the worst case, they can freeze the account or have to endlessly confirm their identity
But if it is prohibited in your country, then you need to prepare well for this issue.

If you're using an exchange I don't think a vpn is needed. Because in every country where crypto exchanges are used, no VPN is required, they can easily trade without VPN. However, I have seen many times that there are some exchanges which are not open due to network problems but can be accessed very easily if VPN is enabled. But to my knowledge there are no crypto exchanges that require a vpn to access. You can trade any exchange without VPN if there is no VPN required to access the exchanges in every country.
well, maybe some countries banned some popular exchanges, so they use VPN to access them. However, this is very rarely the case, besides nowadays it is quite easy to access popular exchanges, and in fact almost every country has their own trusted exchange. Personally, I have never used a VPN to trade either. Until now, almost all popular and local exchanges can still be accessed without obstacles.

If you think it's unsafe for you to use VPN in your country then don't risk doing that because things may not really appear the way you expected, sometimes using VPN may not be reliable hundred percent since you may not know when there are network glitches and the app you're using got disconnected without you knowing, i want to believe there are more experienced users that can attest to this and the risk that may be involved.
If the VPN network is disconnected then it can be reconnected then it can resume trading.
But the problem for me is KYC when every centralized exchange always applies KYC while your IP and Country identity is different then it will be a suspicion of the platform against your account then try to avoid this because I am sure it is not about casinos that are restricted to certain countries but for many people trading is still free without VPN.

If you usually use a local IP and then use a VPN, your account may be frozen for a while from exchange prevention.

Most of the people thinking the trading need of VPN,but it’s not an essential one.The gambling only need to use of VPN by the gamblers, but trading doesn’t need of VPN.Because the VPN only change the ip address of the user.So the trading doesn’t need any address change to do trading, because their is no essential one in the trading.Once you download the exchange, you need to sign up the exchange. Then you can trade with the minimum investment.
If you can register your account on a centralized exchange because your location is not in their list of restricted countries or locations, you will not have to use VPN to register your account.

If they have such restrictions, you try to use VPN, you will have troubles in future with KYC, withdrawals or if they suddenly ask you to re-verify, do advanced KYC when you withdraw your money. It is very big problem with online gambling site especially if you win big and submit a withdrawal request.

If you accept to KYC on a centralized exchange, no reason to use VPN because VPN or not, they have your identity data already.
Why use a VPN if the country is not a restricted country, now only a small number of countries restrict centralized exchange.

Yes, it is because it does not match your location that the exchange will detect this use of a VPN, and obviously a platform will ask for KYC to adjust the identity when withdrawing.
It is better to avoid using VPN in trading or other gambling use IP according to your ISP it will be safer than using VPN.

Once when I opened an exchange with a VPN my withdrawal was delayed for several days, they suspected activity from two different countries.
Most of platforms does accept global users but there are a few who are really that restricted and this is why its always been that recommendable or suggested that you should really be that always reading up the site

terms and conditions on which it would really be that pertaining about those points because if you had missed out those things then you are really that susceptible to locked up funds if you are get caught.
Using up some VPN? No it wont really be that ideal and its would be better that you shouldnt really be violating site terms and conditions because on the time that you would get caught then it would really be resulting into locked up funds or would really be that waivered because of the thing that you have done. THere's no way that you could be able to submit out a document which would really be correlating with the
IP that you have been used and this is why its never been that ideal on making yourself getting involved into.

Therefore, the wisest thing to be done is to stick with those platforms which arent blocking or restricting your country or simply stick with your local. Its impossible that there would be
no available knowing that there are tons of platforms we do have now.

Even though our government doesn't allow crypto trading, we can still access all the exchanges without needing a VPN, and KYC verification isn't a problem for us either.

fortunately I don't use VPN at all but the regulation of my country also banned some famous Exchange such as bybit and Binance on website but not for application, I just think why not all access is also closed. but what I hate from my government they charge high tax rate for crypto traders by 3-10%, just imagine if we trade and even cut loss then it will be double loss we will get, in my country as long as there is profit obtained from the people then it will be pursued by the tax director general, it's make us as trader should get profit more than tax we should paid

With as much as hundreds of legit exchangers around the globe with licenses to almost multiple nations I hardly think the country where you live has no exchange to trade at all? The crypto popularity is off the roof and this has caused many nations to give formal licenses to run the exchangers. Just take example of strict nation like US whose SEC started to disrupt the crypto exchangers and also successfully banned mega exchange like Binance US. However, keeping in that mind there are still many exchangers still operational with their books clean. It’s far better to choose an exchanger which preexists in your country.

What would you do if they found out you are no local national? They will immediately ban your account and probably end up ceasing your funds too.

There is no need to use VPN for trading. VPN is usually used by people when there is an IP van in a certain country then change that IP through VPN to access that site but as far as I know all the popular crypto exchanges are open in all countries so VPN for trading  I see no need to use it. You first download any exchange on your device, after downloading the exchange on your device, you create an account on that exchange and after making an account, you can easily conduct trading activities there, you don't need to use VPN.

There is no need to use a VPN to use any crypto exchange in my country because all crypto exchanges are directly licensed in our country. Transacting through vpn is a bit annoying because most of the time in case of vpn the server has problems which makes it difficult to conduct transactions or other activities properly. But if there is a country where the use of crypto exchange is completely prohibited then the users of that country must take such advantage through VPN.
Another annoying aspect of using vpn is that whenever you use vpn you will get annoying ads which are really annoying. And choosing a good quality VPN is difficult. Most countries can use crypto exchanges directly without the hassle of a VPN.
it's possible that the OP a few years ago used an exchange that did limit its user's IP. like Binance also seems to have restricted some countries from not being able to access their WEB version. but through a desktop or mobile application you can still access it.
maybe reasons like that too make people like the OP also have to use a VPN to use the exchange. maybe if it wasn't a big deal it wouldn't be a problem. but if there is a large transaction there may be a little trouble.
