Do you use VPN proxy?
Specially If You are Country Where the laws not Crypto trader Friendly?

Do You hold Ur machine or wallet in better juridical locations?

For trading VPN always risky and as third party handle this software there chance to hack your site or your personal computer. There are too many example about hacking with VPN but where govt full restricted crypto site there they can use VPN as no other options. But always bear in mind that risky of hacking.

thanks.

You can use a VPN when an exchange is blacklisted in your country which means you are not supposed to use it. Exchanges may ask you KYC at that time you will be exposed from your fake location so your funds will get locked so never ever try to use VPN with exchanges just because you are prohibited to use the exchange from your location.

By the way, understand VPN is not going to give you complete privacy and can do more harm than good in crypto space.

If we can trade without using a VPN, why should try trading with a VPN. Because in my opinion the risk is very big when trading using
a VPN, if it gets caught by the exchanges where we usually trade. Worst of all, our accounts can be blocked and our funds will also be
frozen. So far I have been safe crypto trading without using a VPN, so don't want to try trading using a VPN.
I agree that as long as you can access the exchange without using a VPN you should go for that route and make sure you are not using an illegal exchange because a lot of times exchange will accept customers from all around the world and later when you withdraw large sum of money they will ask for KYC and then deny the withdrawal stating that we don't allow users from your country and you clicked on I agree the terms and conditions where somewhere it would be written we don't accept users from ABC country.

Better to use an exchange like Binance so at least you know that if they allow you to make account and trade then you are all set and good and if even problems happen later you at least know the intent of the exchange is not to scam you by any means.

An example can be seen here, it's related to gambling though but the same can happen on exchanges - https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/cyber-bet-is-really-scamming-me-5261029

They kept asking for various ID proofs and after the user provided all proofs they still froze his account.

the disadvantages of using a free VPN;

Personal Data Theft.
Fraud case.
Prone to Piracy.
Malware Attack.
Adware Attack.
Internet Connection Drop.
Interception of Banking Data.

there is no point in using a VPN, maybe today you are safe, but in the future, we do not know what will happen..  I only trade through the Firefox browser, indeed I have tried trading using a tor browser but the internet speed is very slow so that the buy or sell activity is very disturbed.  So far I have no reason to use a VPN in trading..
It will just compromise the data and security of us. Maybe, it will help us today to evade some terms and regulations of the government. But it might also affect us just like what you said. If there is a legal sentiment between your country and exchange. And there are also restrictions, better not use vpn to risk what you have. In fact, there are many exchanges which not restricted your country to invest. Or try to fly away in your country in order to go out from the restrictions.

Depends on where I am trading, if I am trading on my national local exchange I am definitely not using VPN because it is my own nations website, why would I want to look like I am coming from another country, I am even willing to give my KYC to them because they share it with the government (well technically police have a department for it) and considering they already have my information anyway from the bank side of things, I see no problem with KYC sharing on the crypto side as well since they already know it anyway.

But when we are talking about foreign places, if there is registered governmental involvement, I rather not do that, because I do not want my trading to be known by a foreign country, why would I do that, I would rather keep that part a bit more secret.

I don't have optional way how to trade without using VPN (Virtual Private Network) when accessing to Binance exchange market, more than last two week I have got used to use VPN (Virtual Private Network) because my country IP not allowed using domestic IP to open and trade with Binance exchange market, I don't know why Binance exchange block with my country IP, first time looks not easy why we have VPN for entering to Binance account and we use private browser when trading, not safety when opening our social media like facebook, twitter and instagram using VPN and try to log in gmail with using VPN, I have open two browser each other to Binance exchange have to use VPN and without VPN to my social media platform.

This is actually true. VPN causes trouble on the long run, if not sooner then later simply because of the different IPs it generates every time you connect to a VPN.
I actually haven't had the reason to use a VPN simply because it is not needed to trade in my country. I can actually trade without having to resort to using a VPN which is much safer for me.
I've heard stories of guys who use VPN to trade only for such accounts to be blocked and funds frozen with it.
The guy i quoted suggested using VPS, I haven't heard of it but I guess it's way better than VPN since it uses a specific or dedicated IP address
The use of VPN is not without purpose because it is really needed when several exchanges are blocked in a country. For example, Binance Web which is currently still blocked in my country, Indonesia and requires a VPN network to be able to access it. Speaking of VPN and VPS, these two networks are closely related. VPN is a Virtual Private Network, there is a virtual computer network that allows someone to access protected areas with different Private IPs. Meanwhile, VPS is a Virtual Private Server, a kind of computer server in virtual form or it can also be used as a website hosting that stores website data and other files. VPS is also part of a VPN. Use a premium VPN or VPS to be more secure.

You better think twice before using a VPN when trading. A friend of mine had trouble and got his account frozen when he used a VPN. Crypto trading isn't restricted in our country but my friend just forgot that he's using a Vpn. There are still ways to trade even without the use of it so it's better if you won't put your funds at risk.

If you are going to use VPN it may cause you a problem in the future the same as what happened to other traders before who use VPN and now suffer from verification or make their account freeze.

I think it would be better if you use VPS instead and buy a dedicated IP or residential IP. That way exchanges will detect you as a real user unlike on using a VPN that the IP it gives you always changes every time you connect to VPN so it might cause you trouble in the future.

My country is allowing crypto so  I can trade where ever I want and we have own wallet and crypto ATM and it is good news for the people here in my country because there is no strict about using and trading the crypto coins. I don't know if the VPN will works if the Country ban all related to the crypto such as wallet, trading sites ,investment and I don't know if they have other ways to unblock it.

I don't know if I am eligible to answer because we have approved exchanges here that accept members from my country but honestly if I was in such a situation I would rather not trade and do P2P trades from websites like localbitcoins than to trade using a VPN and risking my all coins to be swallowed by the exchange once they know the reality.

I am not entirely sure but maybe dex can help you in such situation because they are not centralized and hence you are never at any kind of risk but really unsure as I give this advice because I haven't used many of them.

Crypto is not fully regulated in Eastern Europe. At least that's what I know. I see no reason to use VPN, unless of course you are engaged in suspicious schemes or use illegally obtained funds. Some states even welcome the crypto sphere.

Apart from the issue of exchange policy itself, enabling VPN on the exchange is not very useful because accounts are not published in it or communicate with each other such as forums or social media. When using an exchange, all matters are between you and the exchange, no need for any protective coating.
Crypto exchange and social media are generally used for used for different purpose but the use of VPN when visiting exchange site is very useful if privacy is top priorities cause data breach and hacker attack happened sometime which may someone make exchange user vulnerable to attack.

It doesn't need to use a VPN to trading unless your country is not supporting the website. Because every time you change your IP it asks for another verification code to your mobile number or email so it makes more hassle but if you want to use why not.
But take care of them banned or don't support it to your country one of the best things to do is to find trading suitable and supported in your country.

I don't think VPN can do much good in this case.  However, it is true that a lot of restricted things can be accessed through VPN.  However, I personally do not use any VPN and I feel comfortable with it.

Also using VPN gives a lot of hassle too like finding a configuration or paying for the subscription it is better to does not use if not necessary.
I am also feeling using VPN for crypto trading is never been good idea because this can create more problems for user as sometime if you need to pass KYC then surely its going against use try to have exchanges which are allowed in all countries and user able to use them without any VPN is really good for any person otherwise leaving trading is much better and healthy idea instead of losing funds for this all.

It is not hassle at all. Only need a few additional steps to login to your trading account. Moreover, using residential IP (IP with fixed address) does not make you to provide verification code. Or perhaps using VPS is another form of VPN. And according to my knowledge, some vps are even faster than using our personal computer because their internet services are registered with highest speed.

Therefore, benefits are existed while utilizing other IP.
