It is completely upon our judgment that decides for the results. I have invested in DueCoin and that too, I found from here only. The simplest reason is their concept that is a MUST for the future, so it is certainly going to be a game changer!
Most of the time i look in bitcointalk rather than on ICO Review sites , from there i will check it myself verify all the details they provide specially if the members are legitimate person before check the Platform itself it is way easier doing this because whitepaper tends to be perfect in the eyes of its reader to create hype ! As of now im investing with Gemstra Project which is a good platform that will revolutionize the retail industry by applying blockchain technology to further the development in our online social selling that will benefited both company and consumer by making a one ecosystem that will allow brands and merchants to perform seamless transaction and promoting their desire product to be post in their catalog for more exposure !
I order to be regularly updated, you should also confide with other resources. Social media such as twitter and Facebook is also a good way to go or you can subscribe to an ICO listing site so they can email you the latest news about upcoming ICO.

Intersting ico's can always be find here in this forum, there are a lot of people today who are working in bounty campaigns since they can earn a decent amount of salary in this way more than working in the corporate world.
Bitcointalk perhaps the most important one however not the sole. you must fastidiously scan WP and a few analytics, and media such as: TechCrunch, CoinDesk, Forbes. Examine wire chanel and GitHub code (if you have got skills in programming). and that i suppose the worst issue is to concentrate to your inexperienced friend. Well, I usually look for a telegram channel , or else there are sites with ICO ratings , but the rating of course I do not look and I choose the project already
