To find best ICO I am using bunch of resources. Some of them are listings, some of them are rating websites, crypto forums and, of course, official website and whitepaper of the project

On my point of view, if you're looking to invest for long-term, it will be pretty enough to carefully read whitepaper and roadmap. Don't forget that first of all you need to valuate the core idea of the project and detect the value it will bring to the future.

I always find good ICO projects on Twitter because this media attracts a lot of potential ICO investors and telegrams are a means to help people understand more about the project, if it really is potential. This project will attract a lot of people

What has been interesting in the crypto space is that these Initial coin offerings have taken over the venture capital way of getting funds. Also what is amazing is how stupid people can be are how they are throwing away their money into scam/over hyped ICO's. For instance, take tezos as an example.

I have missed several good ICOs because there are really no good place to spot them early and be sure it is worth attention. When I found out it was a good project, the pre-sale was already over and hard cap was reached. Therefore, in some cases it is just a good luck to take part in an interesting ICO.

From so many different places. Bitcointalk comes 1st. I look at signatures that tend to appear a lot in the results.

I also look at ads on coinmarketplace and cointelegraph.

I look who paid ads on Bitcointalk.

Then I look at telegram groups and tokenmarket.

Crawling Bitcointalk takes forever.  So many ANNs.  So many.

Lately I have gotten some great finds though on Quora - a social media site for knowledge discovery and question/answering.  There has been a pickup in ICO threads so every now and then something neat comes up.  In general the user base tends to be on the smarter side and there is less shilling though it still happens.

Word of antshares/neo and Omisego before the surge was nice.  Found out about etherparty through them which looks exciting.  Litecoin chatter was very positive before the rise.  And just yesterday I found out about Oyster which has me stoked.

Normally thru social media such as IG, Twitter, and FB. Then upon seeing in the ads section, I tried to look for the ICOs here at Bitcointalk for more information. Though sometimes these ICOs send push emails and/or newsletter almost all of it is just a bunch of spam messages without concrete information in regards their platform.

But coinschedule has better list than icobench because the coinschedule are containign all of the list of icos, even some that has not been publishing on the bitcoin talk forum. and that was my favourite site.

Mostly I can find many interesting ico here in bitcointalk forum. You can find here lots of legit ico not like in the other website because it could be a scam.

I follow these things to get updated with the upcoming ICO's
1) Bitcointalk Announcements section (MOST OF THE TIME)
2) Twitter
3) Facebook
4) Youtube
5) Coinschedule
6) Steemit

Actually I don't refer too much on a website that offers free insights about the ICO.

Still the best reference was the bitcointalk ANN thread itself since we want a Announcement where people can share comments to each other.  So for those who doesn't have an idea, they will have a chance to know more about the project by asking questions which will also verified if that is correct by our professional crypto people here in the community.
This is the correct approach, there is no point in reading a long sales pitch that no one can contest, the most important thing is to read the ANN thread and see if the devs can answer the questions in a satisfactory way if they can then you may be in presence of a legit project.

The best source to get information early about any new project is bitcointalk only. Look into the announcements section. I am sure that there are plenty of projects that have not been popularised in the twitter or telegram groups in the altcoin announcements section of bitcointalk.
