I use social tab on coinmarketcap. They share reddit topics and official twits there so it is very comfortable to check the news and updates about projects. Moreover i check telegram channels from time to time as well.
There are many news site on the internet about cryptocurrencies. But in case in the crypto business you habe to be very fast! 5mins can coast you some thousand dollars.
Social media like Twitter,telegram, facebook, medium,slac and youtube. If you search carefully you can get lots and lots of information about any coin and also all news about particular coin.Also you can subscribe some youtube channels,telegram channels,facebook groups from that any news you can get easily.
I think reddit is a very good place to follow your coin news as every coin has a different subreddit and there's new activities everyday. Twitter is a good and official source to follow news about the project too.
Most of the news regards crypto world can be found on some telegram groups who will provide updated news. Beside those famous crypto youtubers also will update the news. These are the place that i find the news.
I really read all the news about the digital forms of money on facebook. I just took after cointelegraph and that is the place I get the news from and they are always refreshed too so I trust all that they post on there ordinary and make it a point to check the present updates too. Gracious and some of the time I check through twitter. 
What websites (besides this forum) or other sources do you use to get news about your coins?
I read on bitcointalk but have the feeling that I miss a lot of interesting news about the coins I own (currently BTC, OMG, ADX, SUB, KMD, ARK, BLOCK, ETH) and would like to stay more 'in the news'.

Various different places, you can follow your coins on twitter / reddit / slack / telegram etc, and obviously their threads on here to get the communities feelings, for actual news news, there are a few sites out there https://cointelegraph.com/ http://www.altcointoday.com/ http://www.newsbtc.com to name just a few.
I mainly use social networks, there are a lot of useful proven sources. Also my friends-investors share news with me, it is also very convenient.
There are many crypto media where you can get the latest news and events about the coins that you hold, you can try medium, steemit to find out the latest about the coin you hold.
I am using coin market cap to get latest price update on coin. And also i use cryptocompare and cointelegraph and I subscribed on Medium Crypto based interest news where i will get regular updates about crypto currency.
All sorts of things that I'm concerned about, like facebook, twitter, disharmony! I've added all the ways to get the message.

I recommend you to join telgram app then find a crypto group news . You can find out there many latest news and tips also regarding trading. I follow some people who has a great influence and knowledge about crypto you could try it too. And regarding ico projets you can search it on Ico rating websites and followe their official websites too. You can join some social media campaigns with yout favourite coins so that you cant be late for their latest news. Reddit and youtube too is very useful when finding news.
Today there are a lot of information sources. But my three main information sources are this forum,reddit and twitter. Telegram can be pretty useful as well I guess but I don't use it much.

I gathered news on social media like Facebook, twitter, telegram, slack website, bitcointalk, a thread for the progress and updates of the projects.
I read news on Bitcointalk (meaning here), local news, such as Meduza for Russia, other for different countries. And, there are a lot of news on the media, even on the telegram.
Maybe I can find it on reddit, youtube, medium or twitter. A lot of media are delivering news. We just want to choose which media. To see the progress of increase or decrease I myself saw it in coinmarketcap. Or you can try an existing app on google playstore. Choose what you like.
I use rating sites for the ICO to be able to keep up with new products and progress in current projects.
Most altcoin have their own official twitter and I often find out news about crypto on twitter, because in every official twitter are accurate and reliable information, for big crypto like bitcoin and ethereum I tend to prefer the news about financial economy there we can see the latest news that could affect economy and possibly crypto too.
there are many sources you can find to use them before your investment. but before the investing you've got to make some research which will show you are the sources you're using worth or not? It's a real luck to find a trustful source...
