So if you happen to win an equivalent of $2 million in your currency, will you move out of the country, from the article I posted and the poll I created from where country you would like to move to in case you win $2 million, you also have the option to stay in your country and why?

I prefer to stay in my country, because the living cost is very cheap here in my country, $2 million is very much enough for all my family up to three generations and I can even help my country by setting up businesses.

I am the same like you, I would prefer to stay in my country and celebrate with my friends and family instead of making any luxury vacation. It's fine to treat myself and my loved ones to a little bit of luxury, but 2m USD is not enough money to retire. It's definitely a life changing amount that I would like to rely upon for the rest of my life. When it comes to lottery winnings I have already a plan on how to deal with it. After hearing about so many big lottery winners that ended up broke because they spent too much money, I would be very cautious. Instead of using the lottery money itself I would rather invest it in crypto currencies and stocks and only use the dividends and profits to treat myself and my family. Like this I can ensure to leave something behind for my children.
Yes, staying in your country was answered by far more than other options in the survey at the moment. I would do the same, but with this money I would cover issues related to housing, cars and the health of loved ones; this is very important to me. Moreover, build your own large house in which the family would always be warm and comfortable. And only after this, I would calmly go on a journey through countries, studying them, learning their history, it’s like living life several times. But at the same time, knowing that we have a corner in our country where we feel comfortable and at ease. I would return there after another trip with great joy, this is also a kind of pleasure, some people don’t even understand it.

Moving out of the country will be that expensive. I'll just use that money to invest more with many assets and businesses.
I'd grow that money by doing that and looking for more passive incomes and investments for my money to grow on its own.
Inflation rate is high, that sound of a million might be good but you don't know that when you spend that on many things, it won't be that much.
Really that expensive and you would really be just that easily be spending that $2M and might be having those kind of regrets that you have just spend up that much and
its true that cost of living is really that high and 2M isnt really just that too big for you to be able to be that confident that you could live out your life into those other places
with those amounts.Unless if you have been able to win up $10-50 then i might considering on moving out but if we do speak about 2M then it wont really be that
sufficient for you to migrate it out specially if you do came from on a 3rd world country. It cant really be just that something that you could be able to deal with.
Getting a golden ticket visa will cost $250,000 to $500,000 or even more than that. And that's why it's not worth it if that's the only money that I've got.
But if you're a single person then I think that might be enough for you to get into another country and for that reason, you'll be able to enjoy that visa and can go to many other countries where you may find another opportunities.
Seriously, with high cost these days, I'll just save and invest that money and won't be spending a lot.
This is something that someone should really be tending to realize on, the amount that you've won wont really be that sufficient for you to be able to get outside of the country on which those amounts would really be just that only covered up with the expenses that you would be making Ex. Getting a visa on which its true that it is really that hell of a lot costly and you might be able to overlook into this one.
$2M might sound that too big into those countries but in others then it wont really be that something big, yes its really that still significant but if we do tend to check or look out on what are the things that it could
be able to cover out, then you would really be able to tell on yourself that it was not enough on going outside the country or its never been worth or would be enough.

The amount won't be enough for migration and living a new life so I guess it would be better to just treat myself with things which won't be too expensive. Also, just like with the majority, such amount is enough to start an investment or to secure yourself with a new house, for future purposes. Also, to travel is not one of my dreams in life 'coz I'm not that adventurous however, I have my own ways to enjoy things such as treating myself and my family. I could buy myself a decent and entry-level car with such amount. I do understand that many people are into such activity but it just happened that I find it more as a waste of money given that it is just temporary and I will just be inloved with the moment.

There are people who would be or tend to be enjoying trips outside their countries and unfortunately, I am not one with them. Personal preference or not, I'd be happier with establishing new things that will benefit me in the long run than to be just enjoying 'moments' within few weeks. I will prefer using that amount to create permanent changes with my socio economic features, and for the future generation as well.

I wouldn't go anywhere if I managed to win an amount as significant as $2 million because I know I have a lot of things to do and moving out of the country isn't one.

I agree with this.  I wouldn't see a $2,000,000 gambling win as a reason to take a vacation.  After taxes you'd barely be looking at a million dollars, which isn't even enough to buy me the kind of house I'd like to live in, let alone start frivolously spending on vacations.  Give me $20,000,000 and then you'll see me start hopping around the Bahamas, shark diving in South Africa, and doing a quick pass through of the world's major cities.

I wouldn't go anywhere if I managed to win an amount as significant as $2 million because I know I have a lot of things to do and moving out of the country isn't one. The very first thing that I would do would be to start my own business and I will make sure that it is a business that would generate great results for me so that even if the remaining funds are over for any reason, I would still have an active and running source for income for me and my family.

I will also make investments, mainly in Bitcoin, because it is the future of cryptocurrencies and the whole world. I don't know what role Bitcoin will play, but the world will move towards complete digitalization very soon and everything will work digitally, and payment methods are no exception in this.

People who have selected to stay in their country, why dont you wish to travel? It was never mentioned that if you win $2 millions, you are forced to spend them in a country from the list. Dont you want to celebrate such event as victory in lottery and go on a vacation? I accept that there is never enough money, that spending part of $2 millions on investing is smart. But wont it be boring to invest all and get back to usual life? If I won a lot of money or earn much more, I would travel, discover new places and get new experience without hesitation.

If you read carefully the context of the OP. He mention specifically the example as planning to move out meaning living on the country you choose. Ofc doing travel and vacation on some country will be very good to spend some of profit but living overseas is different because of high cost of living and the visa expenses which you will need to renew since you are not a permanent resident.

Also living with foreigners as tourists will always makes you an outcast so it’s really convenient to spend that huge amount of money on environment that you are comfortable since you knew your neighbors. If ever I will hit this huge jackpot, I will spend my life on a house in mountain top. This is really my dream house.

I don't dream of moving from my country even though I managed to win a lot of money from the lottery because I also don't know which country I want to move to. I should use the money to prepare for my family's future and open a new business I have long wanted. I thought that with the new business, I could develop it well and make more money. I might take a vacation to another country for a while to enjoy a lot of winnings. However, I also don't want to waste money because I'm still thinking about preparing for the family's future. That's the most important thing for me and I also don't think taking a vacation too far from my home is a good decision because I can still take a vacation in the tourist areas of my city. It can also provide me and my family with entertainment and fun for them, which is enough for me.

If I win win $2 million dollar in a lottery, what will come to my mind wouldn't be traveling to any part of the world because I have a lot of business ideas that is still pending and I'm currently waiting for the capital to execute them. It would be an answer to my prayers and a a settlement to all the effort I have been purring in my hustling so I will push at least fifty percent of the money into bringing my business to life and maybe invest part of the remaining fifty percent into Bitcoin.

If I convert the money into my local and invest it in project in my locality,  within two years the profit I would have realised from my investment would be more than enough I make me visit any part of the work I desire to travel out to.

But for the context of this thread, I'm a big fan of English football and so I would live to travel out to English and watch them play really soccer in their stadium. It would also be a great honor to each Ronald and Messi live on a stadium so if traveling out is going to be an option,  then I'm damn visiting England and Saudi Arabia.

If I will win $2 million in the lottery, I would choose to stay in my country. Because the cost of living is low, it would be smart to put your money into a local business or investment. If I do this, I can help our community grow and support it, which will be good for me and future people in the long run. Before we move abroad or stay in the country, we should think about the pros and cons of each option, such as our ideals, way of life, and financial stability. The choice is still up to the persons plans or goals.

None, what's the point? $2 Million is definitely a huge amount of money, but humans won't ever satisfy regardless how much money they've earn or they have because they always look to make more and more.

If someone live in a developed country, it's pointless to move to developing country since they won't find a high paying job.
However if someone live in a developing country, it can be used to start a business or move to developed country since he will earn more.

In my case I have answered that I prefer to live in the country I live in now, as most of the votes. With that money I would travel to different parts of the world but I would not move. If I had to do it necessarily I do not have a single country in mind but it would have to be a country with an open economy, with low crime rate, with good climate and legal security.

This is the weak point for most newly rich people, when they are in a position of financial freedom, the first thing that comes to their mind is just improving the quality of life. If I won $2 million in the lottery, I would stay where I grew up. There are lots of memories from the past that are hard to forget there, apart from that, the people around where I live are still having economic difficulties.

I will try to help them by opening new jobs in the plantation and trade sectors. Moving abroad or improving the quality of life by having fun, only my family and I feel pleasure, but the real happiness for me is when I can make other people happy.

$2 million is very big win and in lottery betting this is win that can be said to be jackpot, of course gambler who wins this much will be able to change his life for the better and he can become rich in no time.
It just that the percentage to get win of this size is very difficult and only 1 in 1000 gamblers can have it, so when you win with that amount you have to make the best use of it.
When management and utilization cannot run properly then it is clear that everything will be in vain and within certain time it will run out with nothing left.

Personally, if win, will not go anywhere, I will stay in the country I live in by building several businesses or investing shares in several industries to be able to generate more certain profits.
This could be good development in the long term and of course my future life will be more secure, I will really use most of the winning amount to be able to return to making money more easily on more consistent and certain scale.

It would really be the type of money that would mean you could retire but also what else are you going to do when you retire? I have always thought about this type of question, not even with 2 million, even with 200k I would be able to retire in my nation, it is not about being able to, it's about would you want to? Like maybe I won't work as hard as I do, but could you even retire.

At certain age I would retire for sure, like when I get older, in 10+ years I will definitely retire, I would just relax at home, drink coffee, and watch tv all day long without a doubt. However, if we remove that from the question, what would I do until then? Well I would probably just keep working, because otherwise I would be bored to death if I retire at this age.

This topic is like we are fantasizing about winning a large amount of gambling and what we want to do with that money, this will only make me dream high because I really want to travel abroad if one day I am lucky enough to win a large amount of gambling, apart from that I don't I intend to move from my country because I won that amount of money. I will definitely build a house where I live magnificently, regardless of people's insults because the money is earned from gambling.

Why move abroad if we don't understand the language there?? it will only be troublesome for me because I need a language course in the country I am going to, I just want to go on holiday abroad to enjoy my victory and the country I want to go to is Cappadocia in Turkey because that is my dream if one day I win big but Yes, I think this is just wishful thinking because winning at such a big gambling game is very difficult to get Grin
