However, play 50:50 when you invest money. 50% for top altcoin and another 50% for higher risk higher return like ico.
Invest in etherium for top altcoin, waves, neo, ada. For ico, do your own research for that.

It's really easy, you no need to think so much to choose the good altcoin to invest in. Just choose every coin or token in top 10 on coinmarketcap, all of them are really good coins to invest in. But with 500$, not a really big amount of money, I think you should choose low price altcoin like XRP or XLM, price of these coin are under 1$ at the moment.

I don't agree, 500$ is very small amount and with that OP should look for undervalued low cap altcoins with active team and solid future.
Stellar is good, it has bright future and active team but I am not so sure that it will grow big. OP should look for coins which are under half dollar.

I don't think is a wise advice to invest in ico when you have only $500. Better go with low cap coins. Always split.
